    I gotta say, dealing with

I gotta say, dealing with this moving company was a nightmare from start to finish. First off, the movers didn’t even show up on the scheduled day, which was super stressful. They promised they’d be there between 3 and 7 PM the next day, but didn’t roll up until 8:30. And guess what? They just sat outside for two hours, chatting and smoking. At 10:30, they casually mentioned it was too late to start. Promised to come back at 7 AM, but then texted about a flat tire. No apologies. They even made me pay a fee to ensure next-day delivery but then said it wasn’t guaranteed. Every person I talked to lied, and they refused to return my deposit. With a baby in tow and all his stuff packed, it was beyond frustrating. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

    Moving with Extra Mile Van

Moving with Extra Mile Van Lines was a nightmare. My wife booked them for a Monday pickup, but they were a no-show. Suddenly, someone turns up at 9:30 PM on Tuesday, reeking of alcohol and clearly not sober. He just glanced at our stuff and said the quote wouldn’t cut it. Needing to move desperately, we agreed to pay more. He promised to return at 7:00 AM the next day, but no one showed up. By 8:00, still nothing. We called, and they blamed a flat tire. We’d already moved, leaving everything, including our baby’s essentials, for them to pick up. Now we're in our new place with a six-month-old, no clothes, no diapers, nothing. Their offer? A 50% refund. It feels like a scam, not just terrible service. Stay away from Extra Mile Van Lines.

    Bad experience

So, I read some bad reviews and had a similar experience myself. First, the company charged me $1500. After paying my deposit and being told no refunds, they charged me another $1100. I didn't have an extra $1000, so they left some of my stuff behind. The driver seemed grumpy and like he didn't want to move my things. They ended up charging me $1850, which was $300 more just to move selected items. The storage place even warned me about movers trying to relocate items, but I didn't believe they would actually try to steal my stuff. When my weight equipment arrived at my house, my 1000 dumbbells were missing. I've been trying to reach Darlene, the department head, for days with no response. I'm really lost on what to do next.

    Terrible experience

I had a terrible experience with Extramile Vanline's for my recent move. They originally quoted me $1,835 to move a small 12x12 bedroom from Naples, FL to NY. My stuff included a king bed, dressers, nightstand, mini fridge, TV, 11 boxes, and a hockey bag. Everything was listed in the original quote. But when moving day came, they suddenly jacked up the price to $2,800! That’s over $1,000 more for the same stuff. When I questioned it, they were super rude and unprofessional. The actual movers they hired were fine and did a good job, but dealing with this broker was a nightmare. They’re totally dishonest and unreliable. Save yourself the hassle and find a reputable company instead. This one’s a complete scam.

    Moving was awful

Moving from NYC to North Carolina, I chose Extra Mile Vanlines, thinking they were reliable. What a nightmare! I gave them a detailed inventory, but they totally miscalculated the space we'd need. Instead of handling it themselves, they passed the job to another company. That company promised to stop loading once they hit the cubic footage estimate, but they just kept going. Imagine my shock when they demanded 125% more to deliver my stuff! I talked to four different people at Extra Mile, and each conversation was a frustrating merry-go-round of excuses and contradictions. Zero accountability and zero transparency. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch. Avoid this company if you value your time and money.

    Bad experience ever

I recently had an experience with a moving company that I wouldn't wish on anyone. It started with a lowball estimate to lure me in, but as moving day approached, the costs skyrocketed. The quality control guy squeezed me for more money, leaving me with no choice but to pay up or risk starting over. When the movers finally arrived, they were overwhelmed by stairs and the number of items, doubling the initial quote. The move ended up costing nearly $19,000 instead of the $4,000 I was promised, most of which had to be paid in cash. To top it off, some of my stuff got damaged, and other items went missing or were delivered to the wrong family. This whole ordeal was a nightmare. Avoid this company at all costs.

    Never again

I booked a move with Extra Mile based on their glowing reviews, but what a nightmare it turned out to be. It cost me twice what they quoted and took four days instead of one. First, they switched movers on the day of the move, then called to double the price right as my stuff was being loaded. They even messed up the mileage, so the mover refused to deliver until he found another gig on the way. My belongings? A disaster. Everything was just thrown in the truck, leaving my wooden furniture smashed and glassware shattered. The damage was beyond belief—chunks missing from my bookcase and a broken chemistry table. I called to sort it out, but all I got was a manager's voicemail and radio silence.

    I had quite the experience

I had quite the experience with this moving company, and it wasn’t a pleasant one. After shelling out over $1000 as a deposit, I waited impatiently for a callback. Weeks rolled by, and nothing. Just two days before my scheduled move, they finally reached out. But instead of the confirmation I expected, they told me they couldn’t fulfill the arrangement. And guess what? No refund, either. I tried emailing them multiple times, hoping for some clarity, but the responses were either vague or nonexistent. Their system seemed stuck, not reflecting any of my previous communications. It was a mess, leaving me scrambling for alternatives at the last minute. Frustrating doesn't even begin to cover it.

    I booked a moving company

I booked a moving company well in advance, thinking everything was set. They assured me the movers would arrive between 9-12pm. A few days before, I tried to update my inventory, but they wouldn't let me remove items, only add. On the moving day, the truck didn't show up. The dispatch kept telling me they were "just around the corner," but the driver said he was hours away. By 7:30pm, only two guys showed up in a car, no truck or materials. They claimed my inventory was more than listed, but I couldn't adjust it earlier. The truck was supposed to come at 9:30pm, but I canceled. They refused to refund my deposit unless I agreed not to review them. Be cautious if considering this company.

    I thought I was set

I thought I was set when I found Extra Miles Van to move my stuff from Arizona to LA for $1450. They said it was cheaper because I didn't have much to move and they had another load going the same way. Paid $500 deposit and thought all was good. Then, on moving day, a different company showed up, said they needed to do an estimate. 15 minutes later, they slapped me with a new price of $2,550! They said it didn't matter what Extra Miles quoted, this was their price. I was shocked and canceled right away. Called Extra Miles for a refund and they just laughed, saying the deposit was non-refundable. Had to rent a U-Haul and hire movers myself. Total scam! Avoid them!

    Communication was a nightmare

I booked a move with ExtraMileVan Lines three months in advance, expecting a smooth process as promised by their team. But things quickly went south. Communication was a nightmare; they ignored my calls, emails, and texts. They missed the scheduled date by three days, and after pickup, it felt like I was talking to ghosts—no updates, no responses. Even after 21 days, there's still radio silence from both ExtraMileVan Lines and their carrier, WomanTouchMovers. I'm left wondering if I'll ever see my belongings again, not to mention the money I spent on this move. It's frustrating beyond words, and if I could rate them zero stars, I absolutely would.

    I wouldn't recommend them

I had a really rough time with this moving company. Initially, they offered a great price, but once everything was loaded, the cost jumped to four times what was agreed. The movers showed up reeking of weed, and unsurprisingly, our belongings ended up smelling the same. They also arrived much later than promised, which was frustrating. To top it off, when unpacking, we noticed two nightstands and a few other items were missing. I tried contacting their HR department to sort things out, but got no response. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving service.

    I had an interesting experience

I had an interesting experience with this moving company. I sent them detailed photos of all my stuff to get an accurate quote. When the movers showed up, they handed me a quote that was nearly double the original price. I was shocked and felt totally misled. It seemed like they underestimated the space needed on purpose just to lock in the sale. I ended up refusing their services because I couldn't trust them after that. It was a frustrating experience, and I would advise others to be cautious if considering this company. They might tell you one thing and then surprise you with a much higher cost when it’s time to move.

I've had such a terrible experience with Extra Mile Van Lines that I have to warn others. First off, they gave me a quote that was way off. When the movers finally showed up, they charged me way more than we had agreed on. I didn't make a fuss and paid, thinking I'd at least get decent service. Big mistake. My paperwork said my stuff would arrive in 3-6 days. I even confirmed this over the phone and in person. It's now been over a week, and I have no idea where my belongings are. No one can give me a straight answer. This whole thing has been a nightmare. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and go with another company.

    I had quite a ride

I had quite a ride with Extra Mile recently. They gave me a sweet quote for my move, something like $1700, and I thought, "Great, let's do it!" Dropped a non-refundable deposit, feeling all set. But when the movers actually arrived, things took a turn. These guys, different from the ones who gave me the quote, weren't sticking to the original price at all. Suddenly, the cost jumped to $3300! I felt cornered since I'd already paid the deposit. It was frustrating, to say the least, and I felt like I fell into a classic bait and switch. Not the smooth move I was expecting, and definitely not what was promised.

They were supposed to pick up my stuff on a certain day but ended up being really late, which was super frustrating. When my things finally arrived, I was shocked to find some items missing. It felt like a bad dream. To top it off, trying to get in touch with them now is like yelling into a void. They just don't answer. I had a pretty wild experience with this company. Booked a service thinking it was all set, but things went sideways fast. Prices were totally reasonable at first, but when it was time to pay, they doubled the charge out of nowhere! I mean, who does that? They insisted on a deposit through Zelle, which seemed normal at the time, but looking back, it felt sketchy. It’s like they had this whole plan to lure people in and then hit them with a surprise bill. If you’re considering using their services, maybe think twice. There are probably more honest folks out there who won’t pull a fast one on you.

You won't believe the headache I had with this company. I asked them to email a copy of their Certificate of Insurance to my landlord, but guess what? Never happened! I tried calling and texting, hoping to sort things out, but they went ahead and blocked my number. Can you imagine? They just ignored all my messages. And the refund? Forget about it. They kept saying they sent the COI, but that was just another lie. As seniors relying on social security, losing $1400 is a huge blow for us. It's frustrating dealing with a broker that takes your money and then disappears. Avoid them at all costs!

Wow, what a ride with this moving company! They initially quoted us something around $4,000, which seemed reasonable. But as the move went on, the price ballooned to nearly $12,000. It felt like we were being held hostage—midway through, they just stopped loading and demanded more money on the spot. As if that wasn't enough, the crew they brought in managed to break several of our belongings. It's frustrating and disappointing. We've since found out that they're under investigation by the Attorney General’s office. It's a mess, honestly. I just wanted a smooth move, but this was anything but.

I thought I'd found a great deal with this moving company, but things took a turn. At first, the price seemed unbeatable, and I was thrilled. But as the moving day got closer, the cost suddenly shot up, almost tripling what they'd initially quoted. I felt stuck, with no time left to find another mover. It was frustrating and stressful, feeling like I had no choice but to go along with it. Alright, let me tell you about my moving experience. The pick-up? Smooth as butter. But now, it's like my stuff vanished into thin air. I've tried calling them, but it's like shouting into a void—no one picks up. Seriously, how do they even run a business like this? I had a nice tip ready for the movers once they got the job done. Now, I’m roping in everyone I can think of—a lawyer, some transportation official, the BBB, even the police. I’m not letting this slide. I shouldn’t have to fight this hard just to get my belongings back. It's maddening and totally unfair!

I had a terrible experience with this company. Paid the deposit after getting a quote. They came back and charged me twice the original fee. I had a small storage unit, mostly boxes, so it didn't make sense why the price jumped so much. They said I'd have to pay $1 every day per cubic foot. Ugh, what a mess this company is. Seriously, they lie about everything - from when they'll show up, to delivering, to prices. I’m pretty sure they’re just a broker, not an actual moving company, cause I've only spoken to third-party folks. They lowball you with a truck minimum, knowing your move will cost way more than their so-called quote. The payment process is all over the place; some want Zelle, some want cash, some take Venmo, others take credit cards - no consistency at all. Save yourself the headache and find a different moving company.

Bought a whole dining set and bedroom set from this place, but it was a disaster. Got pieces that didn't even match. Like, tables without tops, a footboard but no headboard, and a bed with no rails. They even lost the rod to attach the dining table top.
