    In my opinion, Car Computer

In my opinion, Car Computer Exchange has proven to be one of the most incompetent and unreliable companies I have ever dealt with. I made a purchase of an ECU on September 29, 2023, and received the item on October 18, 2023. The reason for the delay, as explained by them, was that the initial unit they had in stock was defective, and they had to order another one for me. While I understood this to some extent, a delay of over three weeks is already quite significant. However, the situation took a turn for the worse when I received the replacement item on October 18, only to discover that it was also defective. I promptly initiated the return process on October 19, hoping for a quick resolution. Unfortunately, further delays ensued in receiving a replacement. What disappointed me most was the lack of concern from Car Computer Exchange, especially considering that my vehicle could be my only means of transportation. They did not seem to prioritize the situation or take any proactive measures to ensure a timely resolution. Given that the issue was caused by their mistake, I expected them to offer expedited shipping or other accommodations to rectify the situation promptly. Moreover, their communication throughout this process was severely lacking, and their disregard for customer satisfaction only added to the frustration. Waiting until November 2 to inform me that the replacement item is finally on its way back is unacceptable, given the significant delays I have already experienced.

    I had quite a frustrating

I had quite a frustrating experience with this company. After spending $695 and expecting my computer in 2-3 days, it took 11 days to arrive, and it wasn’t even the right one. Tried calling customer service, got hung up on thrice. When I finally got through, they told me to return the part but made a big show of checking their stock. Two weeks passed without the correct part arriving. Called again, and they said it’d take another 7-10 days since they were waiting for it from a vendor. Asked for a refund, and they said it would take 7-10 days. Three weeks later, after many emails (no phone calls allowed), I got a refund that was $200 short. They pointed to their refund policies, but nothing explained the deduction. Ended up buying from an eBay seller and got a working part in two days.

    I purchased a PCM

I purchased a PCM for my 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 L from Imperial Car Computer Exchange. However, upon installation, I started experiencing issues such as an intermittent O/D Off indicator light, which was not present with my original PCM. Subsequently, a "no bus" error code appeared on my odometer display, preventing the engine from turning over. These problems did not occur with my original PCM. Despite returning the faulty PCM to Car Computer Exchange almost two weeks ago, I am still awaiting a repaired or replacement PCM. My experience with their parts and customer service has been poor, and I would not recommend Imperial Car Computer Exchange.

    I wouldn’t recommend them

So, I thought I'd give this company a try when my computer started acting up. They sent me a replacement, but it seemed like the new one had even more issues than the old one. I spent hours trying to sort things out, and when I asked for a refund, they said everything needed to be handled through email. But guess what? No one ever replied to my messages. It was like talking to a brick wall. I ended up losing both time and money, not to mention the headaches. Honestly, it's better to find a company that actually supports its products and customers. I wouldn’t recommend dealing with them unless you want to end up frustrated and out of pocket.

    I ordered an ECM for

I ordered an ECM for my Ford from this place, but it was a total disaster. First, the part took way longer to arrive than they said it would. Then, when I called the locksmith, he couldn't get the thing to work after two hours of trying. I sent it back, got another one, same issue—still wouldn't work. They told me to send it back for a refund, but guess what? No refund. I kept contacting them, and they kept giving me excuses, even asked for my PayPal info, which I sent. After that, radio silence. It's been three months now, and I'm out $551, including the locksmith and extra shipping. Total scam, just took my money and ran.

    I ordered a computer module

I ordered a computer module on a Sunday afternoon, and by Monday morning (Veteran's Day), I decided to cancel it. Car Computer Exchange (CCE) confirmed the cancellation quickly and promised a refund within 7-10 business days. They did give a heads-up that if I didn't see the refund by the 11th day, I should contact their accounting team. That kind of made me suspicious. Unfortunately, my hunch was right. The refund didn't come through on time, and I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Luckily, I won the dispute, but the whole experience left a bad taste. CCE seemed to lack integrity and honesty.

    I decided to buy a

I decided to buy a PCM for my jeep, thinking it would solve my problems. I gave them all the info they needed, and they sent me one. Well, my jeep wouldn't start at all. I sent them pics and all the diagnostics, returned the PCM, and they sent another one. This time, the jeep started but then died after a minute. Frustrated, I sent back everything again and asked for a refund. They only gave me half back, citing their return policy. It took them three weeks to do so, not the 10 days they promise. Honestly, their equipment is faulty and their business practices are shady. Be careful if you decide to deal with them.

    Got our car computer yesterday

Got our car computer yesterday and, honestly, it’s been a bit of a headache. We got it installed thinking it’d be an upgrade, but it’s been nothing but trouble. While driving, the car hesitates and even has the nerve to shut off completely sometimes. Imagine cruising down the freeway, and suddenly your car just decides to take a nap — super scary stuff. It’s actually worse than the old computer we had. We expected better performance, but this thing’s been turning off more times than I can count. I’m hoping there’s some fix or maybe we got a dud, because right now, it's a roller coaster ride I didn't sign up for.

    Got this new computer for

Got this new computer for my car, was really excited to get it running. Plugged it in, hooked up the battery, and connected my OBD2 scanner to check everything was working. But, guess what? Got this error message saying it couldn't communicate. Spent ages checking all the fuses and plugs, making sure everything was secure and in place. Double-checked, even triple-checked, but still no luck. It was really frustrating, like hitting a wall. Thought it was going to be a smooth setup, but now I'm stuck trying to figure out what went wrong. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for with this upgrade.

    Let me tell you about

Let me tell you about this rollercoaster of a situation with the computer I got from your place. So, it arrives, and guess what? Doesn't work at all. I reach out to support, and they suggest getting a locksmith to fix the key fobs. So I get one, and turns out it’s not the fobs but the pcm that’s messed up, thanks to some flashing issue. The locksmith says I need to clone my old computer to the new one, and wants $385 for it. Now, I’m stuck without a car and out the money I spent on this faulty part. Frustrated doesn’t even begin to cover it. I really need this sorted out quickly.

    I bought a rebuilt PCM

I bought a rebuilt PCM for my truck and it was a mess. Installed it, got a "check gauges" light, then the truck died while I was trying to get it to the mechanic. AAA thought the alternator was bad, but the mechanic said it was fine. I told Carcomp what happened, and they said to send the PCM back for a refund. They took three weeks to process it and only gave me half my money back, not counting shipping. Their website says you can get a refund or exchange if the PCM doesn't work, but they didn't follow through. Wish I had read the bad reviews on the BBB site first. Avoid them!

    Terrible experience

I had such a terrible experience with this company! I sent my PCM to get it reprogrammed, expecting everything to be sorted out. But what did they do? They sent me back a completely different PCM with more codes than the original one! Can you believe that? I tried reaching out to them, thinking they’d help fix the problem or give me a refund like they said they would. But they just ignored all my messages. So frustrating! They didn’t solve anything, and instead, my issue got worse. Honestly, steer clear of this company. They’re not worth your time or money.

    I recently faced a tricky

I recently faced a tricky issue with my car. The signal wasn’t reaching the number one coil, and I had checked everything. It seemed like the ECM was the culprit, so I swapped it with a new one. At first, it seemed like everything was fixed—the engine purred smoothly, but only for about 10 seconds before it shut off again. Now, I’m stuck wondering if it’s a key reprogramming issue or something else entirely. I'm scratching my head, feeling a bit out of my depth and really need some help to figure this out. Anyone else faced something like this?

    I had a really bad

I had a really bad experience with this place. Turns out, they also go by the name Diesel ECM Exchange and have the same address. I only found this out after they charged me $1200 and refused to give it back. Every time I called, they had some new excuse. I felt totally ripped off. They keep changing their company names, probably to avoid bad reviews. I wish I’d checked their reviews earlier—so many people have had the same issues. I can't believe they can get away with this. Be very careful if you’re thinking of doing business with them.

    It was a frustrating experience

Man, it was a frustrating experience at the car shop. When I dropped off my car, no one asked if it had an alarm. So, when they called to say my car wouldn't start, I was confused. I called them back and they said I should've told them about the alarm. But how was I supposed to know? When I asked if they needed any info, they said no. Ended up paying twice for the same part to be taken off and put back on. Total waste of time and money. Seriously, if you call them, make sure to mention if your car has an alarm to avoid this mess.

I ordered a PCM from this company and it was a nightmare. Took over 60 days to arrive, which was already frustrating. When it finally showed up, it was faulty. Tried to return it, but they refused, claiming it was past the 60-day window since purchase. Thing is, we hadn't even received it within that time frame! Ridiculous. Customer service was no help at all, just kept repeating their policy. Wish I had checked the BBB reviews before ordering. Terrible experience, totally regret it. Avoid this company if you can!

    It's not worth the headache

I ordered a computer from this place and it was a total mess. It didn't work right out of the box. I sent it back under warranty, hoping they'd fix it or replace it. But nope, they did nothing. Weeks went by and I never got a new one. Tried to get in touch, but they just stopped responding to my emails and calls. It's like they vanished. Felt totally ripped off. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. It's not worth the headache.

Got my ECU back, followed all the installation steps exactly as described, but it’s still not working, same issue as before. I reached out to customer service on 12/30/24 and spoke with a lady who promised to send an email with an RMA to sort it out. Well, it’s been days and still no email. Feeling pretty frustrated with the lack of follow-through. Just want this fixed already.
