This company is not good at all.
by Tiffiny W

This company is not good at all. They deserve zero stars. They keep getting pets' health problems wrong. My little cat had an accident, falling off the bed when she was only 8 weeks old. I rushed her to Banfield because her mouth seemed strange, but they said she was okay. Even though I had their insurance, they refused to do an x-ray. When I went back a week later because she couldn't open her mouth, they said she was fine, even though she clearly wasn't. Another vet later told me her jaw was broken and now it's too late for surgery because she's growing too fast. They basically said if she can't eat, put her down. But if she makes it to adulthood, they might be able to help. Banfield doesn't care about pets; they just want your money. When I complained, the manager didn't care. I had to pay $265 just to cancel my monthly payments. I'm thinking of suing them. Don't take your pet there unless you want them to suffer.

Took my pet to this vet for a check-up.
by Anonymous

Took my pet to this vet for a check-up. Waited for hours, and when closing time came, nothing had been done. Disappointed with the service. Found out my pet was anemic and had a fever, which needed immediate attention. Grace Animal Hospital gave the care my pet deserved. Save your money and avoid this place. They won't even refund me despite their negligence.

Absolutely awful experience.
by Anonymous

Absolutely awful experience. I bought one of their wellness plans, and even after it ended, they kept charging me. I had to contact my credit card company for a refund, and they admitted their mistake. But now they've handed it over to a collections agency. Looks like I'll need a lawyer. Watch out!

Bandfield appears to be operating
by Drew

Bandfield appears to be operating dishonestly, with questionable practices and misleading programs. The wellness plan they offer seems to be more of a scam than a legitimate money-saving opportunity. The savings they claim you'll receive after each appointment are allegedly spread out over subsequent months, making it difficult for customers to realize any actual benefits. Cancelling the plan doesn't seem straightforward either, as customers report being charged for the entire year, regardless of when they attempt to cancel. It's advisable to approach Bandfield with caution, given the numerous negative reviews highlighting issues with their services. My recommendation is to to find alternative options and thoroughly research reviews from various sources before considering any engagement with Bandfield.

The cancellation process for the wellness
by Anonymous

The cancellation process for the wellness plan is quite challenging. Although stopping the auto-renewal is straightforward, attempting to terminate the service early in the year proves nearly impossible, especially if you've relocated to a city without a Banfield. Closing the account and obtaining a final invoice for the services used became a frustrating ordeal. I received three different quotes for closure and endured lengthy waits for callbacks. Eventually, after much effort, I discovered a text service that proved effective. This entire process took a week of going in circles to achieve a resolution.

The company's actions were utterly
by Nathaniel Vincent

The company's actions were utterly distressing and heartbreaking. Their profit-driven decision led to the unfortunate loss of a beloved pet. The claim of dental care resulted in a devastating outcome due to inadequate examination. Caution is strongly advised, especially for English Bulldog owners considering their experience.

by Fatima

had a disappointing experience with Banfield concerning my dog's leg issue. Despite her being fine before the visit, she started limping immediately after they performed X-rays. The front desk's unhelpful response and the vet's lack of communication added to my frustration. My dog's condition worsened, and the vet's suggestion to see an orthopedic surgeon felt like passing the buck. The drop-off appointments and my dogs' anxiety make me reconsider Banfield. I miss the previous practice's personalized exams and no muzzling policy. I won't recommend Banfield due to their indifferent approach to my pet's injury.

Banfield was satisfactory until my dog's
by Elyssa Boyd

Banfield was satisfactory until my dog's unfortunate passing. However, their lack of empathy regarding policy issues became evident. Despite my dog being deceased, I must fulfill the remaining two months of the wellness plan. I believe that with proper proof, plans should be promptly terminated. While our renewal was just two months away, the thought of others facing a full-year commitment after a recent renewal is distressing. This critique is solely directed at Banfield corporate, as the local veterinarians and assistants were consistently exceptional. Improvement is needed, Banfield.

by Katie

I received a confirmation email for my cat's appointment, but upon calling, I was informed he wasn't scheduled. Despite making the appointment months ago, the mix-up was distressing, especially with the difficulty of securing vet appointments. Waiting since last year for my cat's care, only to be turned away, is disheartening. The unavailability of the manager for discussion added to the frustration. I cannot recommend this vet based on this experience.

this company is the worst!
by Melaniet F

OMG, this company is the worst! I've been taking my dog to Banfield since she was a little puppy and they used to be great, but after Covid things went downhill real quick. They started this dumb policy where you have to leave your dog there all day for any reason, even just for a check-up. Like, what's the point? I had to do it once and they kept my poor dog there from 10:30am to 4pm just for a stupid wellness check. And you won't believe what happened next. A few days later, my dog started coughing like crazy! She's never been sick before, like ever. And I don't even take her to the dog park or have any other animals, so I know she caught that cough from those goofballs at Banfield. When I took her back, they wouldn't even let me talk to the vet in person. They just took her to a different room and then brought her back with some meds and were like "oh yeah, she has kennel cough, good luck with that". And get this, they said they keep sick dogs separated, but apparently they can't do that right since my dog has been battling that darn cough for 8 months now.

OMG, let me tell you about
by Bretney N

OMG, let me tell you about this wellness plan company. The staff is freaking great, but like, I've been paying for this plan for 10 freaking years, dude. They've been taking care of all the "maintenance" stuff, which is cool I guess. But then, like 5 years ago, my back was totally messed up and they covered all that shiz. So I thought, cool, this plan is legit. But then this month, I messed up my ACL and had to go to the doc. They charged me $617 for the freaking visit, x-ray, and some meds. But get this, the local hospital charged me $250 for the same damn thing, but without the meds. Like, what the hell have I been paying for all these years?! And then when I tried to cancel this stupid plan, they said I have to keep paying until March or some crap. Like, seriously?

Smooth check-up
by RubyRider

I wanted to share a recent experience I had at Banfield Pet Hospital, and overall, it was quite positive. My new pup had a check-up there, and I was super impressed with how well everything went. The visit was quick and smooth, and having their basic pet insurance definitely helped keep the costs manageable. The only hiccup was a slight issue with the appointment scheduling, which caused a bit of delay. However, despite this minor setback, I'm giving it a 4/5 because I feel a lot better knowing my furry buddy is in good hands with them :)
