The company, sadly, left me disappointed.
by Jan

The company, sadly, left me disappointed. I've had this machine for almost a month. It was a nightmare aligning the mirrors. Finally got that done, but haven't been able to make one project. Made "My First Project," but it didn't cut all the way through. Then tried the material test card. Also didn't cut through and most of the engraving was faint. Then the laser won't fire. My mA meter says water protection is not on. Scheduled an appointment with a virtual tech to try to get this problem fixed.

Omtech ain't too bad.
by Harold

Omtech ain't too bad. They tried to help me out with their motherboard for my K40 Co2 laser from China. I struggled cutting the wires on my ribbon cable, not my strong suit. So, I sent back their motherboard for a refund.

I purchased the B10 Light diode
by Richard

I purchased the B10 Light diode laser directly from OMTech. Being new to lasers, I got it to complement my Shop Sabre router for versatility. The delivery was speedy, arriving in about a week, and the packaging was good. However, upon unpacking, I noticed some signs that it might have been used before. The laser module had partially removed plastic wrap and some residue, suggesting prior use. Additionally, one of the belt tightening screws seemed partially stripped. Despite these issues, assembly was straightforward, and the machine felt sturdy and well-made. While it works fine overall, the gantry doesn't slide smoothly, and I've had difficulty achieving the results advertised. Despite numerous attempts, I haven't been able to cut through 1/4 inch wood as expected. However, the software is user-friendly and offers plenty of options. Despite the challenges, using this laser is enjoyable and sparks creativity. Overall, while it has its flaws, it's still a fun machine to work with.

OMTech is a truly awful
by Michael B

OMTech is a truly awful company to deal with - especially if you are based in the UK. The support you receive is woeful - via email only and hardly ever from the same person, which means no continuity, often contrasting messages and little to no help whatsoever. After months of batting pointless emails backwards and forwards and even calling in a UK based engineer (nothing to do with OMTech), we knew we just had to get a refund and get away from this useless company. However, that has not proved to be easy either as they are making things as difficult as possible. 3 weeks after they β€œagreed” to collect the machine - we are still waiting, whilst they bombard us with emails - always from a different staff member and always with different information.

So, I ordered this laser thingy
by Paul S

So, I ordered this laser thingy from them, right? But guess what? The product listings are straight-up lies. These lasers are supposed to connect to WiFi, but they DON'T! 🀯 So, I thought, okay, let's give their customer support a shot. But guess what they told me? "Google your questions." Seriously?! 😑 And that's not even the worst part. They promised to have a tech support manager call me, but that never happened! πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ This laser is trash, and this company is running some shady business. I'm so fed up that I've filed complaints with the BBB and the attorney general. Consider yourself warned: DO NOT BUY FROM OMTECH! This nightmare has been going on for over 72 hours, and they won't lift a finger to help. 🚫😠

Oh boy, my 50-watt laser
by Anonymous

Oh boy, my 50-watt laser from Omtech went completely bonkers after just one year! 😀 The laser's going all wonky, hitting the X and Y in a not-so-nice way, grinding like there's no tomorrow. Even the limit switches, which are supposed to save the day, seem to be slacking off, even though they light up. And to top it all off, the X and Y axes decided to go on a joyride in reverse! 😱 It's been a grueling 6 weeks of sheer agony, not to mention the boatload of money I've lost because of this laser disaster. I'm seriously having second thoughts about buying another Omtech machine after this fiasco. πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈπŸ’”
