I've backed over 10 projects on kickstarter and only been disappointed once. It's crowdfunding so you gotta keep that in mind when you "buy" anything here. I've never had a bad experience with kickstarter themselves. Sometimes the wait has been waaay too long and one time I didn't get what I paid for - but that's the name of the crowdfunding game. I'll use kickstarter again sometime soon.

Supported a project, but never got what I paid for. Kickstarter's customer service took forever to respond, usually 4-6 weeks, and when they did, they just redirected me to the project, which was clearly a scam. Unless Kickstarter steps up and ensures some guarantees for backers, more scammers will keep popping up with projects. Don't support projects unless you're prepared to lose your money.

Despite threatening a negative review, Kickstarter remained unresponsive. This ordeal has cost me a significant amount of money, and the lack of contact details for the company adds to the frustration. My two months of grappling with this issue have left me with a resolution nowhere in sight. I will steer clear of Kickstarter in the future.
