Минулого року GEICO підняв мою страховку на авто на 78,32%
by Філ

Geico's claim process was awful.
by Sarah S

Geico's claim process was awful. They valued my 2017 Accord at only 12k! They wanted me to use after market parts for repair. They kept lowering the car value to total it out. Hard to reach, lied, ripped off body shop. Huge out of pocket costs. Rude and deceptive, backdated rental charge, added distant driver, rates tripled. Back with Progressive for good service. Never again with this serpent/salamander bs.

GEICO WAS A BIG FAT PAIN!!!
by Max

GEICO WAS A BIG FAT PAIN!!! Been trying to get insurance from them. After first online stuff, they say wait for mail, took weeks, asked for copies, got a letter saying I was late, gotta start over online. Talked to rude lady in Poway, said it's fine, sent info twice, weeks later got another letter saying it's not complete. Wouldn't take free coverage from them.

I had a car accident with
by Lucky

I had a car accident with another driver insured by GEICO, which is also my insurance provider. The other driver admitted fault, which was good. But when it came to dealing with GEICO, it was not good. It was so bad that I switched my insurance company. They offered me less money than I expected, discouraged me from getting a rental car, and seemed like they were trying to take advantage of people who don't know much about insurance. It's disappointing that Warren Buffet is connected with this company.

Geico motorcycle insurance
by Schindler

Geico motorcycle insurance has been my choice for 12 years, but now in March 2024, they're looking to bump up my rates by 59.5%, going from about $600 to a hefty $1000 per year. No claims made, and yet this spike? It's disappointing. I used to sing Geico's praises, but now, I'm cautioning fellow riders: steer clear of Geico!

I prepaid my Geico auto insurance
by Amber

I prepaid my Geico auto insurance for a six-month period. A couple of weeks ago, I encountered a tire blowout on the freeway, resulting in a fishtail incident and a sideswipe with another vehicle. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and I received no citations from law enforcement. However, my experience took a negative turn when I received a letter yesterday, abruptly informing me of Geico's decision to cancel my policy due to the claim. Despite Nevada's legal requirement of a 30-day notice for policy cancellation (NRS 687B.310 – NRS 687B.410 and NRS 686B), I was afforded only a two-day notice. This seems particularly unfair given the nature of the accident, which was beyond my control – a tire explosion, not an outcome of poor judgment or impairment. It's worth noting that, in my 36 years of driving, I have never been involved in an at-fault accident. Geico's handling of this situation raises concerns about their commitment to fair and lawful customer dealings. Regrettably, I cannot rely on them to stand by their clients during unforeseen events. As a result, neither I nor my family will consider Geico for any future auto or home insurance needs.

Geico's rigid payment due date policy negatively impacts retired seniors
by Makk Yoruba

Geico's rigid payment due date policy negatively impacts retired seniors, disrupting their fixed income schedule. Despite customer loyalty, Geico's unwillingness to adjust payment dates reflects a lack of flexibility and understanding. This approach not only causes inconvenience but also raises questions about the company's commitment to accommodating the unique needs of its long-term customers, especially those on a fixed income during retirement.

Receiving cancellation notices on the payment due date is unsettling
by Ron Hayward

Receiving cancellation notices on the payment due date is unsettling. This practice, coupled with perceived threats, prompted my decision to switch to Progressive. Their competitive quote, $20 less per month, made the transition to a new provider more appealing, ensuring a better experience and peace of mind.
