There are extra payment steps the buyer needs to do, and honestly, it takes away some of the excitement. On other selling apps like Mercari and Poshmark, payments go through right away when an offer is accepted, making everything much easier. Buyers are often excited to get the item, but when payment isn’t instant, some lose interest and don’t complete the purchase. This isn’t great for making sales on Depop. I feel like making the payment process simpler after accepting an offer would really help everyone. Just wanted to share my thoughts and hope it’s useful! Thanks for reading!

Avoid this seller!

Avoid this seller! They never sent my item and ignored all my emails! Terrible and non-existent support. I won’t be using this platform again. After multiple tries to contact the seller, I opened a dispute with my credit card company and got a confusing email from Depop saying: "Choosing to open a chargeback instead of contacting Depop directly in future might lead to action against your account." This is insane!

But I was happy with how the support team handled it. Long story short, Depop refunded me fully and also covered return postage. What more can you ask for? Great and quick service from them. I've seen some bad reviews which worried me, but Depop's professionalism was impressive. They're doing their best. Tracking fraudsters is tough. eBay has similar issues, but I had PayPal to help.
