My experience with Constellation Energy during the summer of 2023 was extremely frustrating and unsatisfactory
by Steve C

My experience with Constellation Energy during the summer of 2023 was extremely frustrating and unsatisfactory. Despite being a customer since they acquired Protect America, the company's service left much to be desired. They promised a new smoke detector and glass break, but after multiple attempts, I received nothing. Their customer support was unhelpful, and they even wanted to charge $10 for assistance. Additionally, when inquiring about an outdoor camera, their pricing was exorbitant. The frustration peaked when they turned off my energy supply without notice. Despite reporting a severe black mold issue in my home with a count of 1,520,000, Constellation Energy's response was inadequate. I had to move to a hotel until 2/3/2023 when I rented a new house. The bills for my old address were not redirected to my new one, resulting in an unnecessary electricity cut off for almost a month. Constellation Energy's negligence and breach of contract have compelled me to consider changing service providers.

The company boasts low kilowatt-hour
by Anonymous

The company boasts low kilowatt-hour rates and attributes monthly bill credits to usage, but despite this, summer bills tend to be considerably high. Customer representatives appear less supportive when it comes to aiding those facing financial difficulties in paying their bills. Despite recorded messages during the pandemic claiming assistance, there was a lack of meaningful consideration. The only assistance provided was a referral to a third party with stringent and impractical qualifications, making it unhelpful for most applicants. Overall, there seems to be a lack of incentives to maintain a relationship with the company.

Signed up online for a start date 30
by Rod

Signed up online for a start date 30 days away, but my service began immediately. Attempts to correct it led to confusion; the customer service rep struggled with basic details, providing different terms. Skepticism grew, prompting contract cancellation. Discovering the contract remained active, a subsequent call extended to a frustrating three hours, contrary to the promised two minutes. The overall poor customer service experience and excessively lengthy wait times solidified my decision to take my business elsewhere.

I moved from my Ga Natural Gas plan
by Joe

I moved from my Ga Natural Gas plan to Constellation as they provided a rate $.17 less per therm than my old plan, and it was easy without needing any calls or negotiation.
