I signed up for the trial subscription like many others, and had trouble finding any way to cancel it on the website. It felt intentional on their part. After the 7-day trial ended, I was charged and had to reach out to customer support directly to cancel. I also asked for a refund, but they didn’t respond at all. It’s disappointing to see companies use such questionable methods like this.

Misleading advertising

I accessed Bumper to get a one time value estimate for my RV. I paid the initial nominal cost with the assumption that it was a one time cost and I'd need to pay more if I wanted more information from Bumper. I was then charged $30.87 for a monthly subscription. I cancelled it immediately and requested a refund. I have not received a refund and just got a canned response.

I came across this site while searching for free VIN reports. I entered the VIN, and it seemed like they were putting together a list, but then they asked for my email and wanted me to pay. Afterward, I searched for bumper.com reviews and saw they only got 2 stars. I really should’ve checked their reviews before wasting my time. If you decide to try them, good luck.

Horrible experience!

Horrible experience! I used their service last year to buy a car and they missed key details on the vehicle history. I ended up losing 5 grand. I canceled my account, but billing continued for a year, and they only refunded 3 months. Service is poor—don’t repeat my mistake. Use CARFAX for full and accurate reports. This service is awful!

Tried the trial - generated a report on our classic to check the history. - unsatisfactory results and not what I thought. Cancelled right away, after paying the first $5 trial fee. I sent an e-mail to "support" to cancel and they replied to confirm my request. I will keep an eye on my account to ensure there are no future charges.

I used their service for a week-long ad campaign. It wasn't clear that I needed to cancel before the week ended. As a result, I got charged $22.99 each month from January to June, totaling $137.94. I thought it would only cost $1. I'm not sure what BumperLLC sells or offers. I gave them 1 star because there wasn't a lower option.

I didn’t know about this company until I noticed I had been getting charged every month for a few years. In total, it added up to over $600. They refunded me three months but said the rest of my payments didn’t qualify for a refund. Definitely not happy with their service at all. They should have done more to fix it!

You think the $2.95 fee will give you "basic info,"

You think the $2.95 fee will give you "basic info," but it’s just a way to get you to pay $32.00 for a full report. You end up with "nothing" for that $2.95. Besides, they have access to YOUR PayPal, Visa debit info, and more. Now I have to be careful when they charge me "automatically." TOTALY MISLEADING SCAM!!!

Ridiculous scam!

Any business that has more websites to help you to cancel, and/or report fraud, than there is telling about their service, tells a story. They billed me, and I never signed up for their service. I went through the process to cancel, and now, a year later, they popped up on my bank account again! Scammers!

The company said it had a report and information on the vehicle I requested. Paid for the review and found no vehicle was found in the search. Total lie and false bate and switch. Cancelled immediately but was charge for the month even though the account was not used for a single report. It’s a rip off

Unable to login back to account for months, despite using once for one VIN report. Wasted HUNDERDS of dollars, no customer support. Requested a new password, never got email. Tried a dozen times. Correct email and password but can't login. AVOID BUMBER! If no refund, will take legal action.

I entered my license plate number. The website provides a "report" that ranges from 0-100% ready. However, I can’t access it without paying. It’s $32, and I don’t want a subscription. I paid, and then was told there was no information. Feels like a scam. Wasn’t I supposed to get the report?

Requested value in my RV, after the web site checked my vin said I must create a account to get the information and pay a membership fee, which I did. The only info they gave me was the name of my RV and the state where it was registered, which I already knew. A SCAM & A RIPOFF!!!

I signed up for a seven-day trial for a dollar, just like many others. As soon as I logged in, I canceled the subscription. However, they are now charging me $25 daily through Apple Pay. Fortunately, my Apple Pay account is empty, so the charges keep failing. Untrustworthy.

Their customer service and product are lacking at best. You're not given anything near a Carfax, less detail, and overall less info. Their customer service is basically "sorry you should have considered that earlier." Easily the worst customer service in the industry.

Purchased a subscription. Complete SCAM. Info is inaccurate. Some cars show gas engine specs even if it is a DIESEL one. None of the 5 reports showed accidents or major accidents resulting in salvage titles. No service history (even if I am sure about salvage).

What bumper.com is doing is a classic scam. Their so-called reports are absolutely worthless, as you don't get any useful information. The subscription is an even bigger scam. Be careful! Stay away from them—don’t waste your time or money

Bumper.com subscribed me for 1 dollar monthly membership without my consent as I found in the notification email. Later they charged me 30 dollars without any prior notice. And they deny to remove payment methods from the account.

Watch out for automatic renewal. $1 for first VIN check, then automatic renewal at the end of the month. Keep an eye on your bank account or make sure to cancel. Charges aren’t clear, and the car reports aren’t great either.

Awful servis. You can find the same info for free on other websites. They dont say clearly that you have to pay untill after you waste time waiting for it to "load" all the "helpful details" it claims to give.

its not even worth the $5 i spent. they dont give you any information that is useful. also i plugged in a vin number of an automatic car and it has service records for a manual.
