When my older dog started losing her balance

When my older dog started losing her balance, couldn't walk, and seemed confused, I thought her time was near. I knew that as a large breed (boxer mix), her life expectancy was running out, but I just couldn't bring myself to say goodbye yet. Since I couldn’t get off work, my son and daughter-in-law took her to Medvet the next morning, as she showed no signs of improvement and it was a Saturday, so my regular vet was closed. They called me to let me know about the kind, compassionate care they received at Medvet. We knew the cost would be high, but we were happy with the price (thankfully, I had Care Credit from a previous emergency). Turns out, my dog had ‘old dog vestibular disease,’ and after some care and meds, she's fully recovered. She's back to acting like a puppy, walking and not falling anymore!

I began my dog's chemo treatment at MedVet about a month ago, and I want to express how helpful the staff has been. Every visit, they take their time to make sure she’s comfortable, even though she has anxiety. Roxanne has made noticeable progress in accepting their care, thanks to their patience and effort. I would definitely recommend MedVet to anyone looking for care for their furry friends!

I made multiple attempts to reach the manager

I made multiple attempts to reach the manager and left several messages with different staff members, but like many other complaints I've seen on Medvets’ Facebook reviews, they never returned my call. At this point, it's clear they don’t plan on contacting me back! Please, if you care about your pets, stay away from Medvets...they are risky and lack the knowledge to handle emergency vet care!

I took my dog in because he seemed to have

I took my dog in because he seemed to have swallowed something that felt like a stick. They were very pushy about extra costly tests. They insisted on x-rays and bloodwork before even checking his mouth. When we got him back, he had a small pimple-sized sore with a bit of blood. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I’ll never go back, no matter what.
