    It's a scam!

Carhop is a total rip-off! They target people with bad credit and then sell them junk vehicles at three times the market value. The sales staff and management are pushy, pressuring you to leave a positive review before you even leave the dealership. I fell for their trap and bought a 2005 Trailblazer, which should have cost around $2500 according to KBBS, but they charged me over $10000 after all the payments. And to top it off, the car has been nothing but trouble, and their so-called warranty is completely useless. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Carhop.com! It's a scam!

    I had an awful experience

I had an awful experience with Carhop.com. I purchased a rusty SUV with 187,000 miles on it, and it broke down during the test drive. I tried two different vehicles, and both were in poor condition. The staff seemed inexperienced and dishonest, making false claims about the vehicles' quality. Carhop sells nothing but junk cars, despite their misleading positive reviews. I wish I could give them 0 stars because they are simply trash and a complete waste of money. I feel cheated and regret ever dealing with them. I strongly advise against buying from Carhop.com.

This carhop joint in Sioux City

This carhop joint in Sioux City, IA? Total letdown. They couldn't approve my financing, and get this, it's because of some Medicare tax hiccup. Like, what? They wouldn't even spill the beans on the real reason. And it's a Buy Here Pay Here place, but it seems like they wanted to know every penny I'm making. Sketchy move. Honestly, save yourself the trouble – wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

    We are extremely pleased with

We are extremely pleased with the service we received, especially from Matthew, the assistant manager. He was highly professional throughout the car sale process, securing financing for a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. Nicole and the entire team were also fantastic. Our overall experience was excellent, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend CarHop to others in need of a car.

My time with Carhop today was really good and went beyond what I thought it would be. I got approved for a nice rate and drove home in my new SUV today. Phil at the Pueblo location was a fantastic salesman and handled the deal as fast as he could and put in all the effort to get things done. Thanks for a great experiance, Phil!

I purchased a vehicle here last year and swapped it this year for a new one. Their service is very efficient and friendly, making it a fantastic spot for buying cars! I sent a friend here, and she also got a car, so I will suggest this place to anyone searching for a solid car dealership!

    Absolutely terrible!

Absolutely terrible! Initially, my experience with Carhop was decent back in 2021 when I purchased a car. However, upon returning to upgrade, things took a nosedive. After taking the car on a road trip, it broke down, leaving me with a hefty $3919 repair bill, and Carhop offered no assistance whatsoever. Now, the car is plagued with front-end issues, a failing alternator, and a dysfunctional sunroof, which they failed to inspect beforehand - I discovered it didn't work during a car wash! When I reached out to the Ft. Collins dealership for help, they directed me to a shop far away, despite my request for a local recommendation. The constant repairs have drained my finances, exceeding the original purchase cost. Despite expressing my desire to return the car and find a more reliable option, Carhop refused to provide a replacement, leaving me stuck with a lemon. Needless to say, I won't be dealing with Carhop again, and I'll be warning others about their subpar services.

If your credit's taken a hit, sure

If your credit's taken a hit, sure, they might toss you the keys, but watch out. Prices are sky-high, and that's 'cause they throw in a warranty. Sounds good, right? Nah, that warranty's a letdown – bottom of the barrel replacements if they even cover it. Long story short, you're shelling out more for junk. My advice? Hit up a few other spots before landing here. Premium price for a ride that might not go the distance. Keep those options open, trust me.

Be sure to have a real mechanic check

Be sure to have a real mechanic check any vehicle you're thinking about buying from Carhop. As soon as I left the lot, the check engine light turned on. This indicates they reset the light just to let me take it for a drive. The vehicle's suspension was terrible, and all 4 tires needed replacing. They claim to offer a warranty for their cars, but it doesn't cover the issues present when you buy it. Also, they will secretly install a GPS in the car without telling you. When you're signing documents, make sure to read the charges and total cost BEFORE you sign anything. They prefer to have you sign first, then they reveal the amount you’ll owe. Carhop is a shady and untrustworthy dealership. They wanted me to pay $16,000 for a car worth only $1,400. There are plenty of other dealerships available. Do your homework. Otherwise, they will have you paying 8 times the actual worth of a car.

I purchased a car from CarHop

I purchased a car from CarHop prior to my recent purchase, and it proved to be a reliable vehicle with no issues. The staff was courteous and helpful, addressing all my needs. I highly recommend CarHop to anyone in search of a dependable car. The quality and service they provide are commendable. Whether you need financing or straightforward information, CarHop takes care of you. They provide all the facts in writing, ensuring a transparent process. Pay attention, and you'll be happy with the reliable and well-informed drive-away experience. I can't express enough how satisfied I am. If you're looking for a trustworthy vehicle, CarHop on Clearwater is the place to go. Wishing you the best of luck, and thank you.

    My first experience was decent

My first experience was decent, but things have taken a nosedive since then. They used to be somewhat helpful, but now they aren't of much assistance. Their cars are severely overpriced and, frankly, not worth it. I've had a slew of issues with my car since the day I got it, and I've already poured a significant amount of money into it. The check engine light seems permanently on, and it's constantly on the verge of overheating. To top it off, the car came with bald tires. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a solid 1! I would absolutely NOT recommend this place. It's been a horrible experience.

    Carhop

They sold me a lemon, I lost my job with no transportation to get to work. Valerie at carhop was cold, she had the nerve to blame my EDD situation on why I couldn’t make my payments! Like for real! I lost my job because you sold me a lemon, I showed up for work late and that shit added up on me! I had to leave my car on the side of freeways, in parking lots due to it breaking down.

    Bought a car from these

Bought a car from these folks, and just two hours later, the check engine light flicked on. Been trying to get them to fix it for over a week now, and no one’s getting back to me. Took it to my mechanic, who said the back struts are shot and it’s misfiring. Feels like they didn’t even inspect the car properly. They keep giving me the runaround, and the warranty’s a joke—only covers certain stuff. The guy I talked to didn’t think my issues were covered. Honestly, wouldn’t recommend buying a car from them to anyone. Too much hassle and not enough help.

    disappointing

So, I bought a car from this dealership, and they assured me there were no mechanical issues. But guess what? Within 48 hours, the car had a blown head gasket, with motor oil in the coolant reservoir. I went back, hoping to exchange it for something reliable. The second salesperson was rude and wouldn’t let me test drive a replacement. He even said not every car is checked by a mechanic before resale. Seriously? He lectured me about buying used cars as if I was a newbie. Eventually, they agreed to honor the warranty and cover the repair, waiving the $250 deductible. But now, the mechanic says the engine needs total replacement, and I might be without a car for a week, missing work. The dealership offered two cars, neither of which I want, and still no test drive allowed until I return the faulty car. This is unacceptable. Be cautious when buying from here. The customer service has been disappointing, and I’m worried they sell overpriced junk.

    I’ve been putting this off,

I’ve been putting this off, but seriously, avoid this company at all costs. I bought a 2007 Jeep Liberty, and they charged me $16,000 for a car worth maybe $1,700. The first night I got it home, it wouldn't even reverse. I had to return it the very next morning. Since then, the check engine light has come on multiple times. They sell the cars "as is" and don’t bother making them road-ready. Tires were so bad I had a blowout on the freeway, almost rolled the car. Windshield wipers, tail lights, spark plugs—all needed replacing. I was desperate and needed a car fast, so I felt trapped. And if you're even a few hours late on a payment, they bombard you with calls and emails daily. The staff is extremely unprofessional—one email I got was titled "YOUR READING MY EMAILS???" Like, seriously? I'm stuck with this lemon and a terrible loan. Do your research and steer clear.

    Stay away from CarHop! I

Stay away from CarHop! I can't stress this enough. From my experience, they start calling, emailing, and harassing you as soon as you're a few hours late on your payment. This is 100% true. They won't work with you at all if you're between jobs, laid off, or dealing with any kind of hardship. We just made a payment and the very next day, they were already on our case about the next one. We told them we just started a new job and our first payday was coming up, but they didn't care. Today they called, saying they're going to shut off the car because the payment is 11 days overdue. It's insane. Just because you're a business doesn't mean you have to be heartless.

    I recently bought a car

I recently bought a car from Carhop and it was a disaster. Right after driving off the lot, the check engine light came on. Turns out, they just reset it before I test drove it. And get this, the suspension was shot, and all four tires were in bad shape. They promised a warranty, but it didn’t cover any of the issues present when I bought the car. Plus, they sneakily installed a GPS tracker without telling me. When it came to signing the paperwork, they tried to get me to sign before showing the final cost—$16,000 for a car worth only $1,400! Carhop is super shady. Do your homework and avoid getting ripped off like I did.
