About company

Zulily, LLC, formerly an American e-commerce firm based in Seattle, Washington, targeted young mothers seeking brand-name items for their children. Operating without inventory, it centralized shipments of vendor-owned products at fulfillment centers or facilitated drop shipping to customers. Each day, Zulily presented varying discounts to its clientele. Notably, by 2014, approximately half of Zulily's orders were made via mobile devices, highlighting its adaptability to changing consumer trends. Typically, Zulily's sales events are extended for 72-hour periods, providing customers with limited-time opportunities to access discounted merchandise.

Website got lotsa stuff,
by Juanita

Website got lotsa stuff, but returning things can be hard. They work with many companies, so shipping times may change. Customer service is okay. UPS messed up, sent many packages to wrong place, but Zulily refunded me right away, no questions asked.

Really disappointed me.
by Sarah

Unfortunately, I have to say that Zulily really disappointed me. I've had orders with them that were paid for, but they closed without refunding or fulfilling them. I'm one of the affected customers.

I've been a customer of Zulily for
by Anonymous

I've been a customer of Zulily for quite a while. In the past, the pens were of good quality, and I generally liked the items. However, lately, everything seems to resemble cheaper stuff from other places, and the prices are higher. Every now and then, I spot a name brand I like, but a lot of the current items seem like low-quality stuff.

I placed an order with Zulily for $58.40
by Anonymous

I placed an order with Zulily for $58.40 CDN, but they canceled it without providing reimbursement. Unfortunately, Zulily no longer operates a Canadian website or ships to Canada. Despite my numerous attempts to contact them via email, they have yet to respond. The Zulily website has been inaccessible for days, making it impossible for me to check details or use the "Help" feature. Additionally, I am unable to obtain a screenshot of my order for proof to submit to the BBB. It seems that since Zulily joined Shopify, their business practices have taken a questionable turn.

Unfortunately, I share the sentiments
by Annette

Unfortunately, I share the sentiments echoed in several reviews about Zulily. The company seems to have undergone changes that, in my opinion, have not been beneficial. I've been a loyal Zulily customer for well over a decade, drawn initially by their unique European brands, which resonated with my German roots. Regrettably, these distinctive offerings have vanished, even predating the onset of Covid. Presently, the majority of their inventory appears to be sourced from China, with noticeable lapses in quality regarding prints and sizing. My recent experiences have been marked by a higher frequency of returns rather than successful purchases. Perusing their offerings daily reveals a dearth of genuinely new items, often recycling products under different categories. Moreover, the introduction of new brands comes with a hefty price tag, making the overall shopping experience less appealing. I've significantly curtailed my Zulily shopping not out of choice, but due to the lack of novel and enticing selections. Many items featured in closing sales seem to be available elsewhere, such as Shein or temu, at more affordable prices and with comparable quality. The convenience of quicker deliveries from these alternatives has further diminished Zulily's appeal for me. Unless drastic improvements are implemented soon, I fear Zulily may become another lost company, and it pains me to express such a sentiment.

Disappointing customer service experience.
by Leah Boles

Disappointing customer service experience. The company lacks responsiveness, and their current policy of denying all returns is concerning. Spending money here might not be worthwhile.

Buyers, beware of Zulily! The warning
by VWWMS

Buyers, beware of Zulily! The warning signs were there – no refunds, just store credit for subpar items made in China. The misleading product images and descriptions added to the frustration. Now, amidst a dubious reorganization, suspicions of bankruptcy loom. Despite years of seemingly successful orders, the reality emerged – Zulily, under the ownership of San Francisco Doug Wilson Companies, operates like a sham. Poshmark and Temu share the same pitfalls. Proceed with caution in the online marketplace.

I encountered a setback with Zulily
by Bonnie F

I encountered a setback with Zulily when my $58.40 CDN order got canceled due to their discontinuation of the Canadian website and shipping to Canada. Retrieving a refund proved challenging, as multiple emails were unanswered, and the website remained inaccessible for days, hindering any attempts to seek resolution. The affiliation with Shopify seems to have introduced complications, portraying an unfavorable customer experience.

My experience with this company was utterly disappointing
by Dana

My experience with this company was utterly disappointing. I ordered what was advertised as leather boots for $30, but they turned out to be paper-thin with cardboard-like soles, unfit for outdoor wear. The leggings deformed after a single wash, and the sweater was an uncomfortable, stiff material that felt unpleasant against my skin. When I sought a refund, the company demanded I return each item in its original packaging, including individual bags—bags I had already discarded while wrapping Christmas gifts. Their refusal to issue a refund without these bags seemed unreasonable and impractical. It's frustrating that they misrepresented their products and then made it difficult for customers to seek redress. Overall, my experience left me feeling cheated and dissatisfied. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company to avoid similar frustrations with false advertising and unsatisfactory customer service.
