I'm fairly new here, and though there are issues
by anthony j

I'm fairly new here, and though there are issues, the positives outweigh eBay easily. Buying stuff is great, but the marketing is slow; it just started in the UK. Back in '95, eBay was a mess; people mailed rare GI Joes in envelopes. They listed new Star Wars as old, and there were no pictures, just words. Trusting sellers was hard; most weren't pros, like now with Whatnot. They're gathering sellers; then they'll cut like eBay did. Whatnot lets you watch videos, so you see who's a good seller. It's way ahead of eBay back then. I see big potential and profit. eBay will copy soon, taking your money with fees and promos. I was UK's top toy seller on eBay but quit after they froze my account for six months, no reason. eBay messed up; can't appeal. eBay got too big, did dumb things, banning legit sellers, letting fake Chinese ones in. Crazy.

I've been using Whatnot regularly
by Anna

I've been using Whatnot regularly for a few months now and I can honestly say I enjoy it. Apart from a few technical issues now and then, I have no issues with the app itself. While there are some sellers to steer clear of (Obrienpagelego being the main one), most sellers are genuine and handle any issues promptly. Whatnot hosts many great communities, offering something for everyone. I often join shows even if I don't plan to buy anything. If you're into Lego, Pokemon, vintage clothing, or anything else, I'd recommend trying Whatnot. Just be cautious—it's quite addictive, and your bank account might not be too happy about it! If you get someone to refer you, you can earn yourself and them some free credit, guilt-free shopping!

This app's onboarding process is incredibly
by Roberta Dunn

This app's onboarding process is incredibly sad. After jumping through numerous hoops to qualify, including identity verification and a lengthy Zoom meeting, the promised ability to sell vanishes. Despite multiple attempts to submit information, the status remains "under review," leaving me skeptical about the company's intentions with my data. Numerous emails have gone unanswered, and the lack of communication is concerning. Exercise caution before diving into this app – the experience so far suggests a potential lack of transparency and reliability.

So, I saw this lady kinda cheating
by Anonymous

So, I saw this lady kinda cheating, you know? She was like, making prices higher in different comic book places. I told her I knew what she was up to and it wasn't cool. I said she was probably not even real and just making prices go up for real buyers. Then, bam! The next day, I get this email saying I can't use the platform anymore. No warning or anything, just kicked out straight away. I asked why, and they said I went after someone in chats. Really gross company, putting fake people in seller places to make more money. Gross.

The selling experience on Whatnot
by Richard

The selling experience on Whatnot can be quite tricky. In the UK, they require you to use Evri for shipping, but Evri tends to damage a lot of parcels, which can make buyers hesitant to use Whatnot in the UK. Additionally, Whatnot doesn't seem to have much control over spam or harmful users on their platform in the UK. If you're thinking of relying on Whatnot as your main source of income, think again. They can suspend or ban your account without warning, regardless of how many sales you've made.

Shared clear evidence with the trust
by peter m

Shared clear evidence with the trust and safety team detailing a seller's racist attack on another seller based on race. Unfortunately, no action was taken, leaving the racist seller to continue streaming. The potential for this app is hindered by its failure to effectively ensure a safe and fraud-free community. Safety measures must be prioritized to enhance the overall user experience.

Had a good time with this
by anne

Had a good time with this company, snagged some cool wins in auctions, and got some quality items. However, some sellers need to double-check their stuff before selling. A deal ain't a deal if what you get isn't usable.

Had a great first time, the app works well and sends updates often about delivery. As a user, I am pleased with whatnot. I might think about becoming a seller. Thanks, whatnot, keep up the goodwork.

This company has lots of sellers and giveaways! Prices are affordable, no need to go out to shop. Buy while watching live videos from home and it gets sent to your door. I'm hooked!

Bought a $700 chain from JaysJewelryGold auction for $350. Had it appraised, it was only worth $150. Whatnot just gave me back $50.
