I appreciate their "Official Tabs" feature.
by Michael

I appreciate their "Official Tabs" feature. Tabs are well-organized, aiding understanding. However, the playback and interface need improvement. My main gripe with Ultimate Guitar is their relentless push for upgrades. Despite owning a lifetime license, I'm bombarded with pricey offers every time I log in, making it a hassle to use the app.

I've been using UG Pro for over 8 years now.
by Rick T

I've been using UG Pro for over 8 years now. I find the features and tools quite useful. As a live performer, I rely on UG for 3 to 5 shows per week. However, the updates in 2023 have been disappointing. Despite promises of enhancements and new features, each release has brought along bugs and missing features. I've submitted numerous bug reports with screenshots, but very few, if any, have been addressed. I long for the version from December 2022.

I've been using this app since 2016,
by Jim

I've been using this app since 2016, sticking with the Pro Level. Let me break down my experience: Pros: The app offers a broad range of songs across various genres. Organizing playlists is straightforward, making it easy to manage my music. On stage, it acts as a reliable security blanket during open mic jam sessions. It's a lifesaver when facing unfamiliar song requests. The Pro version with tabs is a crucial asset for me. Customer support, particularly through email, has consistently been positive. Recently, Emma provided excellent assistance. Cons: The app has some bugs, occasionally responding slowly or crashing, which is less than ideal, especially when performing live. Certain features can be cumbersome or not very intuitive. For instance, auto scroll is available for unofficial songs, but for official tabs, you have to hit "Play" and adjust your volume or mute instruments manually—why not a simple Mute button? The sluggish response issue also extends to saved songs, which seems counterintuitive. In summary, I believe it's a decent app that has the potential to be outstanding. Personally, I've had no problems with scams or financial issues, but it's worth noting that I might be biased as an early adopter with a lifetime Pro license. I haven't explored the newer courses yet.

Fantastic app for learning ukulele
by Bruce Chabot

I adore this app! Having learned multiple instruments in the past, I'm currently mastering the ukulele. The tabs provided are excellent, and the diverse music selection is fantastic. The app greatly enhances the learning experience, making it enjoyable and educational.

Unauthorized charges and poor customer support
by Steven

I subscribed to a Black Friday deal for £19.99, but immediately faced an unauthorized charge of £89.99 for a full year. Contacting customer support only yielded requests for a username and invoice, which were never provided. This experience raises concerns about overcharging and a lack of effective customer support. Caution is advised for those considering this service, as the unauthorized charges and unresponsive support undermine the trustworthiness of the platform.
