My experience with Straighterline began on a fairly normal note
by Mr. Sir

My experience with Straighterline began on a fairly normal note. I found the platform convenient for my academic needs until I encountered a lab course, which turned out to be a frustrating ordeal. The individuals overseeing the course did not possess the necessary academic background or expertise to provide quality instruction. What was most perplexing was that my assignments were repeatedly marked as failed without any thorough review or constructive feedback. This was particularly frustrating considering my academic performance up to that point was stellar, with a 97 average. The situation escalated when the final assignment was due, and I faced yet another failure due to a minor drawing error. I expected to receive a zero and complete the course with my one remaining credit. However, this did not happen, as Straighterline insisted on additional resubmissions. It became evident that the system's pricing structure encouraged prolonging the course duration, which seemed counter to my interests. This concerning experience has led me to consider reporting Straighterline to relevant government agencies for potential fraudulent practices, as their lack of transparency and questionable handling of my coursework raises serious doubts about their educational standards and integrity.

In my opinion, StraighterLine's self-paced
by Ritesh P

In my opinion, StraighterLine's self-paced study option is pretty good. I found it helpful in completing my business statistics course. However, one thing that bothered me was the lack of clear instructions regarding exam preparation. The course material included many Excel-based calculations and data analysis tools, which I was told weren't allowed in the final exam by both the student advisor and the platform. So, I spent more than a week scrambling to learn how to do these calculations on a calculator, only to find out during the exam that Excel was allowed after all. While I get that this is a self-paced study platform, I think they could improve their guidance on exam policies and procedures.

Really wanted to like SL
by Stephanie

Really wanted to like SL, but the worst experience I have ever had in education. The course offered little to no ability to be successful; the modules did not remotely cover the information required for each assignment. The grading was inconsistent, communication nonexistent, and the worst customer service team I have ever had the unpleasure to speak with. I really enjoyed other online course platforms like Sophia and Study.com, but for me, Straighterline is nowhere near the quality as the former two. My suggestion is to save your money, time, and effort and "pass" on Straighterline.

This was my very first
by angelo

This was my very first course for college-level credits, and I felt like not only did I learn a lot, it was easy to navigate, and I really appreciated the feedback I received from the graders. I felt like I started on the right foot, and I'm feeling confident that I'll be able to continue on to finish my degree with my head held high.

Overall, this company offers a solid course
by Hashim

Overall, this company offers a solid course with clear explanations that are easy to grasp. The main drawback for me is the extensive reading required. Adding video lectures would significantly enhance the class experience.

This company offers a challenging course
by Anonymous

This company offers a challenging course. Grading is fair, and I appreciate the flexibility to study at my own speed. It's also cost-effective—I saved over $1000 taking this course!

I think their courses are good so far
by kandice

I think their courses are good so far. Just sometimes, the site's a bit tricky, and some courses can confuse.
