My experience with this company has been less than satisfactory due to unreturned emails from the customer service department. Communication inconsistencies among representatives left me confused about the process of converting from traditional to Roth. Attempts to contact Sarah were futile, and my request for assistance went unanswered. Setting up my Roth account was initially mishandled by an ill-informed representative. Eventually, Justin, the supervisor, provided the guidance I needed. The lack of consistent training for phone staff is evident, and the advertised tax advice during hold times contradicts the responses received from representatives who consistently redirected me to consult a CPA. Overall, my journey with this company has been disappointing, and improvements in customer service are crucial.

My experience with the company has been quite frustrating, particularly with the lack of responsiveness from the customer service department. The inconsistency in answers from different representatives only added to the confusion, making it challenging to understand the process of converting from traditional to Roth. Although I eventually found clarity through Justin, the initial misguidance by another representative underscored the need for better employee training. After opening our accounts, I found it easy to reach out to their founder/CEO for quick guidance. I'm super impressed by the lady who runs their compliance team, Tamara Perez. When you have a self-directed retirement account, you want to make sure that everything you’re doing is in accordance with the rules and regulations. I appreciate that I can count on Ms. Perez to respond to my compliance-related queries with quick, clear, and authoritative answers. I found the people who work for her to be just as responsive and helpful. Not surprising that good managers build good teams. I’m glad to have my retirement savings at IRA Financial.

My rush to open a self-directed Roth IRA seemed daunting, but a spontaneous call to IRA Financial quickly connected me with a helpful staff member. Despite an estimated 13-15 day process, a conversation about expedited account opening revealed a quicker option. With a reasonable fee, IRA Financial efficiently opened my account and facilitated fund transfers in just 3 days. So far, each interaction has been positive, and I expect a smooth investment experience based on my initial encounters.

After looking into the top SDIRA custodians, I believe this company stands out as number one, with Directed IRA not far behind, at least in my view. My choice was influenced by factors like fees, reviews, learning resources, Adam Bergman's online profile, and how IRA Financial handled a recent tough situation while trying to support their clients, along with other reasons. I did encounter a minor problem when opening a new account, likely due to some mix-up in the department, but Kaleb jumped in and was really helpful! I’m very grateful! I suggest IRA Financial.
