This company is really great!
This company is really great! At first, I was a bit lost with online auctions, but now I'm getting it. I've won a few auctions and I'm really looking forward to getting my stuff!

The company's desktop site works
The company's desktop site works gr8! But using it on mobile is a bit tricker. It's harder to switch between stuff and get back to where I wanna be.

Bidding on many items was not as smooth as I hoped; having live updates or more current bidding info would have made it easier.

Images gave some idea, but many were not labeled
Images gave some idea, but many were not labeled well and it was hard to tell if it was the whole set or just single item in multiple lots since pictures looked alike. Descriptions and images need to show clearly what is being offered. If it's per item, main picture should be of the item, then a second showing the group. Some lots were confusing and not consistent. Likely won't return.

Hidbid Is a good auction website
I registered a couple of years ago and Hibid is actually a good auction website. One area where they are soft is that they do not hold auction houses accountable when they charge for shipping. I have been charged astronomical charges for some items I have bid on and when I contacted Hibid to complain, they turn the other way.

1) It's hard to keep track of won bids after an auction ends
1) It's hard to keep track of won bids after an auction ends - there’s no clear way to check the order status (like paid/shipped/received). 2) You need to stay on the website to watch the bidding; other auction sites send SMS notifications when you're outbid or when items go live on auction day.

The mobile site could be improved.
The mobile site could be improved. It tends to be slow and sometimes doesn't take you to the right page or doesn't start a bid. Upgrading this platform would help. We end up missing a few auctions because we are often on the move, and using the mobile site is just hard.

There is a problem with your bidding system.
There is a problem with your bidding system. If someone accidentally submits a "blank" bid by hitting enter by mistake, then tries to place a bid, it shows the message "You previously entered a bid of $0. You must bid higher." After that, it won't accept any more bids.

I personally am not a fan of the "May have won" thing at the end of an auction. I have 3 items I was really excited for that during a soft close auction I won by every look, that weren't on my invoice from Encore auctions and were therefore not won by me somewhow.

I won a item but then the site stoped letting me bid; it said i didnt have permission from auctioneer to keep bidding. I called the auctioneer and he tryed to help, but the issue stayed the same. Not really sure what went wrong with the program.

This company needs improve. It's confusing to track wishlist stuff. It's too easy to go back main list. My husband bid on wrong stuff.

Won some items at the auction, then found out I had to wait two weeks before I could get them. There was no mention of this wait time before. Tried to reach out to the company a couple times to see if I could grab them earlier but didn’t hear back. Not happy with no anwser....Dan

After the bidding ends
After the bidding ends, I only see that you might have won on three items. When can you tell if you have actually won or not?

The Whittier auction site
The Whittier auction site is a monument to incompetence. On one of many occasions when I was returning a grossly misidentified item, I was behind someone returning a shower chair. They bought a dog grooming kit. The $150 adjustable hospital table I bought for a disabled veteran was actually a useless $40 rolling stand for a laptop. The replacement filter that didn't fit the air filter they claimed it was for was just thrown away. The California King mattress pad that they said was for a Queen bed got cut up and thrown out. The cutting board that was "new, open box" that looked like it spent the last 6 months in a commercial kitchen. And then there was the "deluxe yoga mat, extra large, extra thick". It wasn't large. It wasn't thick. It had disturbing stains all over it. And the "new" set of car seat covers? Nope - just one seat cover. The couch that I arranged for a pickup truck to retrieve? Not necessary - it didn't exist. The charge to my credit card did, however. There are more examples, but I suspect you are able to get the gist of how grossly incompetent they are. You'll be happy to know, however, that they always have an excuse about why it isn't their fault. And fortunately for them (not you), every mistake they make is your burden. Your time and gas to pick up the item. Your time and gas to return the item. Your money that is held by them until it gets refunded.

Customer Service is Lacking
Bought two autographed Taylor Swift guitars on July 19th. They emailed me to confirm my address and then promptly sent the guitars to the wrong address. I reached out to find out why the guitars were returned to sender and was met with a very curt “customer service” person who had the audacity to be condescending. This person offered no apology or help. I had to send multiple emails to get to the bottom of the issue. It is now August 7th and they claim the guitars have not returned to them yet. I’m giving them three more days and I’m filing a fraud complaint with my bank.

Failure to honor
I (as well as several friends) bid on items supporting a non profit. Those of us who won received “you won” notifications. HiBid subsequently failed to honor bids at or in excess of minimum amounts. HiBid refuses to answer inquiries and has said “no bids were received “ despite acknowledging winners. HiBid can’t be trusted
