I’ve been really enjoying the platform, it’s been a great tool for my needs. However, I feel like I could use a bit more guidance on how to get more referrals. I would love to chat with someone who can give me advice on boosting my referrals and making the most out of the platform. It’s been helpful so far, but I think with a little extra support, it could be even better. Thanks!

I was initially impressed with I was initially impressed with

I was initially impressed with the rates and the recruitment process, but things went downhill quickly. When problems popped up, there was no way to talk to a real person. Their contact form is a nightmare to navigate. Plus, their system has some major flaws. You can't delete client info, only archive it, and making changes to billing info is impossible. If you need to update a client's info, you can't re-enroll them because the system blocks it due to the archived status and recognized email. Also, enrolling multiple family members under one email is a no-go, even for kids. Overall, the service is frustrating when you need help the most.

I usually rely on Headway I usually rely on Headway

I usually rely on Headway to handle my insurance stuff. Not long ago, I missed a deadline to attest and one insurance company dropped me. The crazy part? Neither the insurance company nor Headway told me about it. I actually had to tell Headway there was a problem! They've been trying to fix it since then, but honestly, I expected them to catch this way sooner. It's been frustrating because I counted on them to keep things smooth, and now I'm stuck dealing with the fallout. Feels like they dropped the ball big time.

Pretty awesome platform Pretty awesome platform

I gotta say, this platform is pretty awesome. It's super easy to use, and I never have to worry about session links disappearing or anything like that. Whenever there's an issue, they respond quickly and fix it. Honestly, if they offered referrals, I'd probably ditch all the other platforms and stick with this one. But since they don't, I still gotta use another platform to get new clients. So, until they start offering referrals, I can't make them my main platform.

Starting with Headway has been a bit Starting with Headway has been a bit

Starting with Headway has been a bit perplexing. Setting up my provider account proved challenging, especially with the insistence on using my CAQH credentials. While I've been with CAQH for years, sharing my username and password feels unnecessary. Headway should explore alternative vetting methods, aligning with industry standards to alleviate concerns about security. Is anyone else uneasy about divulging login details?

I had a pretty frustrating experience I had a pretty frustrating experience

I had a pretty frustrating experience with Headway. They initially told my client they accepted Magellan insurance, so we started sessions. But then, out of the blue, they said they don't take it. This caused a lot of confusion and stress since I had to stop care right after the first session. When we tried to get some help from Headway to sort this mess out, we were met with zero support. It feels like such a disorganized system, and it really affected the client’s care. Super disappointing.

I have a client who’s been stuck in this credentialing limbo since September. It's weird because it says she’s approved to be seen, but only if she lives in Georgia. The thing is, she does live in Georgia; her address even proves it. Trying to sort this out has been a nightmare since there’s no one I can actually talk to about it. It’s making it really hard for me to see my client when she needs help. The whole situation is just frustrating and honestly, it shouldn't be this complicated.

The company seems alright The company seems alright

The company seems alright, but what bothers me is that I can't leave reviews for therapists or providers. I had a bad experience with a therapist through Headway. It was really bad - unethical and made me feel awful. It's not right that they let therapists like that work on their site without any way for clients to warn others.

I strongly discourage considering this I strongly discourage considering this

I strongly discourage considering this company. Steer clear. As a client of a healthcare professional newly enrolled with Headway, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The insistence on having a credit card on file, despite my insurance covering the full amount, was a major inconvenience. Despite assurances that I would only be charged for last-minute cancellations or missed appointments, my credit card was billed over $100, contradicting their own confirmation that I owed nothing. Attempts to rectify the situation through emails were met with disregard. The provider affirmed that I did not owe anything, yet Headway showed no interest in addressing the erroneous charge. Immediate action on my part involved disputing the charge with my credit card company. Their response to my email only assured me of a $0 charge for future appointments, a statement I find hard to trust given their recent mishandling of billing. It appears that their modus operandi involves overcharging customers, potentially capitalizing on interest, and leaving clients to endure a protracted refund process. Adding insult to injury, they lure in new providers with a $250 incentive, contributing to the perception of a dubious scheme. My advice is to run away from this unscrupulous company and refrain from divulging any payment information. It's a shame they operate in such a manner.

Using Headway has been a Using Headway has been a

Using Headway has been a nightmare. I signed up, entered my insurance details (Insurance A), and started sessions once they confirmed I was in-network. After switching to Insurance B, Headway kept messing up my insurance info. They’d wait until the day of my session to say they couldn't confirm my insurance. Then, at the end of 2024, I got a notice saying my first session was denied because it was submitted under Insurance B, which wasn’t even active back then. I flagged this and found out they’d been submitting all my sessions wrong and overcharging me. While fixing it, they made another mistake and assigned the wrong insurance again. Sent them proof and got promised a refund. Weeks passed, no refund. When I followed up, I was bounced between reps who didn’t get my case. Then they gaslighted me, saying Headway is out-of-network with my plan. Turns out, they contacted the wrong insurance, never submitted my claim, and my actual insurance would've covered it. Their incompetence and deceptive practices caused me so much stress and financial strain. If you’re thinking about using Headway, just don’t.

I ended up with more I ended up with more

I ended up with more stress than I had to begin with, and added anxiety to that. I tried this platform and Talkspace (which was even worse) because my insurance recommended them in their program. Unfortunately, these platforms are full of so-called half-professional providers with barely any experience who never respond nor show up. To make matters worse, you cannot cancel when they don't show after 30 minutes, or they will charge you $75 for that. Now, I have to take time out of my busy day to schedule sessions that never happened, and I need to see a real professional to vent about this platform and its poor service. I do not recommend it; it seems like they prioritize the provider and not the client. It's best to go to a real professional in person. Lesson learned.

In 2022, I encountered billing issues In 2022, I encountered billing issues

In 2022, I encountered billing issues with Headway, as they miscalculated my co-pay for counseling sessions, resulting in a $1200 loss for them. Despite my switch to cash payments, contacting customer service was challenging, with limited responsiveness. Recently, after resuming services with Headway through an in-network insurance plan, they again miscalculated my co-pay, claiming $85 owed per session. Despite inquiries and escalations, the billing problem persists, causing frustration, financial strain, and even session cancellations. Headway's ongoing incompetence in handling insurance matters hinders mental health access and underscores the need for a more efficient customer service and billing department.

So frustrating! So frustrating!

So frustrating! I signed up with Headway for therapy sessions, and right off the bat, they asked for my credit card info and charged me $117 per session, even though my insurance only requires a $20 copay. I thought I'd get refunded the overcharge, but it’s been over two months, and Headway still hasn’t submitted any of my claims. I tried reaching out multiple times, but they don’t have a call center—you can only submit online tickets. Each time, I get a different excuse: wrong insurance company, wrong state, needing permission from my insurance (which wasn’t true). My therapist even tried to help, but no luck. It feels like they have no reason to fix this since they've already overcharged me by nearly $300.

I've had such a frustrating I've had such a frustrating

I've had such a frustrating experience with Headway. I was supposed to have a $20 co-pay per session, but after four sessions, I realized they were charging me $40 each time. My therapist, Rebecca, wouldn't give me their contact details, so I was stuck in a loop between her and the company. Headway claimed they confirmed my co-pay with my insurance, but when I called, the insurance company had no record of it. I even got a temporary refund after disputing the charges with my bank, but then Headway somehow got my new card info and charged me again. They still owe me $80, and now they’ve charged me $74 and $98 for sessions I didn’t authorize. Seriously, avoid Headway for your own peace of mind.

Dealing with Headway as Dealing with Headway as

Man, dealing with Headway as a client is a real pain. Last year, I had so many billing issues with them. They messed up my billing and kept emailing me every other day, asking for more money. Reaching out to them is a nightmare since there's no phone number, and their chat bot is useless. Just to send a message, you have to scan and upload your insurance card again. It's ridiculous. This year, they charged my credit card the full "estimated" amount before even checking with my insurance. I had already met my deductible, so it should have been $28, not $133. No legit health care provider does that. Then, I'm stuck trying to contact them again, which is a hassle. As a client, it's just awful.

My mental health provider utilizes My mental health provider utilizes

My mental health provider utilizes Headway, and the recurring issue of incorrect billing for sessions has become a constant frustration. Unlike other billing companies or providers I've engaged with, Headway consistently miscalculates my charges, deviating from the straightforward $25 co-pay that should apply. Engaging with their customer service has proven to be an unpleasant experience. The absence of a direct phone line and the unclear, possibly AI-generated or non-native English messages in the help center contribute to the overall dissatisfaction. The subpar performance of Headway as a company might even lead me to consider discontinuing my services with my mental health provider.

I've been dealing with Headway's I've been dealing with Headway's

I've been dealing with Headway's support team for over a month now because of extra charges on my credit card, thanks to their billing mistake. They billed the wrong insurance, and I got hit with a $200 charge two months after I already paid. Tried to get my credit card info removed, but they just ignored me. For weeks, I’ve been begging for a call, but they only use a ticket system. I’ve opened several tickets, but they keep closing them without helping. First, they said my therapist’s license was inactive, then it was a billing error. Today, another $200 charge appeared. I’m done – disputing it with my credit card company. My therapist is leaving too, and I won’t use Headway again.

I've been working as an I've been working as an

I've been working as an independent provider and also through Headway, and recently noticed a huge drop in referrals from insurance panels. Turns out, Headway changed my contact info in multiple directories to their own phone number without telling me. This sneaky move has cost me a lot of income and potential clients, and now I have to go through the hassle of fixing it. What's worse, they've turned my potential clients into "Headway clients" and made it clear that if I leave, I can't take those clients with me. These tech companies are really messing things up, not just for us providers, but for the clients too. They're getting subpar care because of shady practices like this.

I've been seeing this psychiatrist I've been seeing this psychiatrist

I've been seeing this psychiatrist for over six months, all seemed fine, they were supposed to be in-network. But now, out of nowhere, they’re out-of-network. I spent my whole morning filling out these "contact forms" to fix it, no response. Then I wasted over an hour talking to my insurance, only to find out no claims were ever filed for my sessions. Now I'm stressed thinking I might get a big bill for seeing an out-of-network provider, even though I was told they were in-network and it still shows they are. And there's no helpline to call. Now I need to find a new provider and make sure they are in-network. Gonna keep posting about this everywhere until I get a response.

Dealing with this company was a nightmare Dealing with this company was a nightmare

Man, dealing with this company was a nightmare. First, they asked for payment upfront, which seemed normal. But then, months later, they went ahead and submitted claims to my insurance without telling me. So now I got double charged and they refused to give my money back. They just kept pointing fingers at everyone else for the billing mess. I had to send them all these documents that didn't actually solve anything. Plus, trying to get in touch with them was a joke. No real phone number, just emails that take forever to get a response. And when they finally replied, it was like, "Sorry, nothing we can do." Seriously, avoid this company like the plague.

I tried to get an appointment here, and it was a headache. If you don't put your card on file immediately, they'll cancel your appointment, which feels like they're more interested in getting paid than actually helping patients. I've been looking for a psychiatrist for a while and thought this place might be the one, but their priority seems to be money, not care. Also, their customer service is non-existent – it's all emails and bots. I had to jump through so many hoops just to reschedule. A simple phone call could have sorted it out much faster. Moving on to find a place that actually cares. Thanks, but no thanks.

They need to seriously improve their customer support They need to seriously improve their customer support

I recently tried using this platform and it was a mess. The providers themselves were fine, but the customer service was terrible. You can’t even call them, everything's done through tickets. They completely messed up my insurance details. They kept saying my secondary insurance was my only one, even though I confirmed multiple times it wasn't. It took over a month to fix, and they charged me extra for past sessions. Their customer service felt like talking to robots, just scripted answers. I wouldn't recommend this platform to anyone. They need to seriously improve their customer support.

I gotta say, dealing with this place has been a nightmare. First off, it took them a whole month to verify my insurance, and they kept messing it up. I had to go in four times, and each time, they charged my card different amounts. They never even billed my insurance! I put in a bunch of tickets, but nobody seems to know what's happening. They claim their system has some kind of super bill, but it's totally useless. There are no real invoices that I can use for insurance claims, just a basic credit card receipt with no details about the charges. It's been super frustrating and confusing.

Been using Headway for a bit now, about 6 weeks. But guess what? None of my sessions are covered by my insurance yet. I should have hit my out-of-pocket max ages ago, but nope, still paying. Reached out to customer service a couple of weeks ago. They said, "give us two days." Two days later, I ask for an update, and they need another two days. This keeps happening, and they finally say my provider isn't "credentialed" with my insurance. Talked to my insurance, and they said that's not true. Headway asked for more time, but it's been two weeks now, and nothing's fixed. So frustrating!

So, I signed up for therapy with high hopes, but it's been a nightmare. My therapist billed my sessions wrong, and suddenly, my insurance said they were out of network. When I tried to sort it out, my insurance company told me it's not true and asked for a contact number. Guess what? There isn't one. No way to reach them. I even left messages on their site and sent emails. Nothing. Crickets. What kind of mental health service has no customer support? Did some digging on BBB and Reddit, and turns out, this is a common issue. Financial mess and no one to assist. Avoid this place.
