Great tools, tipping confuses
Feature quality impressed me and I felt confident running the drive. Some donors asked about the tip prompt though it was easy to adjust.

Launched campaign in hours
Sign-up was easy, the page builder felt modern, and payments worked with Apple Pay and ACH. We embedded the widget and started getting donations the same afternoon. Data synced to QuickBooks without fuss.

I made a mistake in a donation amount and they are fighting me all the way to keep my full donation… don’t use them

I decided to donate $500 to a charity I support.
I decided to donate $500 to a charity I support. I was rushing and didn’t realize the added fees and tip from GiveButter. In the end, I was charged $584.99! I asked for a full refund, but they told me it could take up to a week. I won’t donate through their site again. Never.

The service was disappointing.
The service was disappointing. They created an account for me, but as soon as my donors sent money, Givebutter suspended my account. They claimed our non-profit wasn't official, even though we had all the necessary documents. Now we're locked out of the account and can't access the funds. To make matters worse, they haven't refunded our donors, and the amount involved was significant. I've tried reaching out, but no one has replied, and the chat support is not helpful at all.

I spent quite a while searching for a platform
I spent quite a while searching for a platform to raise money online. Eventually, I came across Givebutter and really liked it! They offer a simple and attractive solution for almost everything, and for what needs improvement, they are actively working on it. If you have a request, they are very quick to respond. And it's all for free. Amazng!

Givebutter could be useful for non-profits
Givebutter could be useful for non-profits because of its low price. However, it has been a mess for me as a donor and potential bidder. In the silent auction where I donated, it frequently opened to dinning offers and often did not display other categories that were available.

Customer support is really poor.
Customer support is really poor. You can't speak on the phone to anyone, which would make it much simpler than trying to type everything out. When you finally do get to chat with someone, they often don’t know the answers to basic questions and just leave you waiting in a chat or send too many emails back and forth. I won't suggest Givebutter to any of my non-profit friends. It's not worth the time.
