I'm in the process of launching a PoD brand and exploring different options. I've tried both Printful and Gelato. Today, I received my test garments from Gelato, and honestly, I was disappointed with the quality. I ordered a t-shirt and hoodie featuring a simple thistle design. The garments arrived loosely packed in a paper bag, without individual wrapping, and they were excessively creased. The actual embroidery didn't match the previews, and when I reached out to customer support, they insisted that the packaging and embroidery quality were intentional. I can't help but feel skeptical about the authenticity of some reviews. If you're starting a PoD brand, it might be worth considering other options or investing in a trial to make your own judgment.

It appears there is a significant lack of quality control with Gelato. Despite their "production hubs" in 30 countries worldwide, there's limited transparency regarding their partners. The care and quality control of their shipped products seem to be lacking, leading to numerous damaged prints and frames being sent to customers. This results in a substantial amount of time spent processing refunds and returns. Until recently, the frames were of low quality, and many arrived broken during transit. Additionally, packaging appears to be minimal, contributing to damage during delivery. Unframed prints also present issues, arriving with scratches or creases. It's frustrating that such a promising app and website are paired with inadequate quality control.

Gelato's customer service is really good. After a problem with a print, they quickly sent the job to another print shop and the result was perfect. You only know how good a company is when something goes wrong, and Gelato did a great job. The web interface keeps getting better, and it seems like they really listen to their customers' feedback.

The Gelato support team was really helpful when there was an issue with a wrong address, causing a large order to be lost by Evri. Even though I tried my best to sort things out with Evri without success, Gelato took over and got everything sorted. The best part is you can speak to real people. I would suggest Gelato to anyone!
