    Bought a supposedly operational

Bought a supposedly operational vehicle from this company. However, it failed to start upon delivery. Copart relies on an app for transporters, limiting pick-up slots and conveniently charging $33 per day for storage, resulting in an additional $300 expense. This practice feels deceptive. Additionally, there are claims that they engage in dubious activities, such as stealing catalytic converters for resale, which might explain the "AS-IS Sale" policy. Overall, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I would caution others to be wary when dealing with this company.

I did my research on the car

I did my research on the car, mileage history, HPI check etc. Then paid for the 10min WhatsApp walkround. Would have given 5 stars but the picture quality was terrible. The guy helping me 'Rich' did his best to overcome this and explained working on mobile data not broadband as a large yard and the signal sometimes struggled as so much metal around with other cars. He did his best with the video but to compensate explained every bit in detail and was happy to stop and answer questions multiple times when I queried something on the way round. He was ahead of his schedule for the day and was happy spending an extra bit of time on the main damage for me so I had everything answered I wanted to cover. After reviewing the video I noticed a couple bits I wanted to cover I couldn't make out. He went out of his way to follow up and send me a couple of detailed pictures. He didn't have to do this. I paid my tenner He had done his bit when the WhatsApp call ended, but he responded quickly and followed up before auction end so I was comfortable to extend my budget slightly to win the auction. I am detailing this process as noticed everyone seems to come on and give a negative feedback but no one spends the time when things go right. I also called in after auction end to get a receipt and check delivery was added and again the chap was helpful and emailed it straight over. Absolutely every stage so far has been above standard I just hope the delivery is as smooth.

So, the auction's alright, but their support can be a bit lame at times. Got a few cars from 'em, but could be better.

Copart took my car to auction after I scrapped it.

Copart took my car to auction after I scrapped it. I will not be using this company again. I scrapped the car because it was unsafe to drive, and the engine was about to fail. Then, I received a letter from the court saying they found MY scrapped car on someone's driveway in Spalding. Now, I have to pay a £600 fine for something that wasn't my fault. I gave you the V5, told the DVLA I was scrapping it, and marked it as SORN. I contacted you with my ref number, but you have nothing on file. However, I have the £377 payment receipt from Copart and the date you picked up my car. This matter is now going to court.

    The company has been disappointing

The company has been disappointing, with no clear communication about when the car would be delivered. I was surprised to find the key left on my doorstep, while the untaxed car was parked outside. It's hard to believe a company could operate in such a disorganized way. The whole experience felt unprofessional, especially when dealing with unclear charges, making me wonder about their trustworthiness.

Honestly, this company is a mess.

Honestly, this company is a mess. Their items are often not as described and usually have some damage or issues. It's a joke that you can't see them before buying. "Runs and drives" means it barely works, maybe on one cylinder, and moves a bit. Laughable.

    This auction and their support

This auction and their support are the absolute worst! I've been dealing with cars for like, forever, about 15 years, and I've tried every auction out there except for Copart. I just recently started messing with them to buy some cars to ship overseas, but it's been a total mess. They go ahead and sell cars without even having the title ready. Like, how does that even work? And then they want you to pay up and take the car while they sit around waiting for the title to show up. If they can't sort out the title, then it's on you to return the car, but they won't even refund you for the shipping and storage. And oh, if your car hangs out in their lot for more than five days, they start slapping on extra charges. Plus, if you're paying with a cashier's check, they sneak in an extra 20 bucks. And get this, even if you're buying like, a whole bunch of cars and using one check for all of them, they still hit you with that extra fee for each car! It's like, one rip-off after another with these guys. And then, to top it all off, they go and block our account over some measly 75 bucks, calling it some kind of penalty. Like, seriously? In just one month, we dropped over 130 grand on their stuff and ended up shelling out almost 18 grand in fees alone. Total rip-off, man. Total rip-off.

    Previewing and picking up vehicles

Previewing and picking up vehicles at this place is a real pain. They've got this electronic line system where you have to sign in and be physically present at the facility because they track your location with GPS. They give you an estimated wait time, but that's basically meaningless. For instance, I once had a 30-minute wait estimate at Morrison Creek in Sacramento, and I was fourth in line. However, after waiting for an hour and a half, I was still shown as being 30 minutes away. It took me about two hours just to get to the door. It's a frustrating process, to say the least.
