We use Whistle to keep track of our free-range dog

We use Whistle to keep track of our free-range dog, Leo, when we're leaving or coming back for the night. It was very useful when he was younger and full of energy. Now that he's 9, he doesn't run away anymore, but we still appreciate being able to locate him if necessary. The activity reports are nice and reassuring to receive. I always tell anyone who asks about the collar device that it's our pacifier!

When you can't be with your pet all the time

When you can't be with your pet all the time, it's hard to know what they're up to when you're gone. This Whistle device has been quite helpful, showing me how much my senior Labrador Pacey moves around, drinks, or rests when I’m not there. He's had some health concerns this season, but he's clearly doing better. Pacey’s weekly updates from Whistle have shown he's drinking, eating, and scratching less. Nice to see!

I always enjoy receiving the weekly reports.

I always enjoy receiving the weekly reports. I'm curious about the walking distance. Is it only when we're out of the safe zone?

The company's product for tracking pets

The company's product for tracking pets is a real disappointment. It keeps searching without showing where our pet is. It took us ten to fifteen minutes to find our pet and get it home. The GPS feature didn't work and timed out. This is not good at all, especially after spending money on a secure fence.

    Got this Whistle tracker to

Got this Whistle tracker to monitor my dog's allergies, but it was a total letdown. Within just four days, my dog managed to get the base and unit off her collar and chewed it up. The tracker’s metal side was slightly bent, which might've been why it came off so easily. Contacted customer service, but they said the warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by the dog—fair enough, but it shouldn't have come off in the first place! Now I’m out $70 for something that barely lasted. If your dog’s a scratcher, avoid this product. It won’t stay on, and you'll end up disappointed like I am.

    Been with them almost 9

Been with them almost 9 years, not many problems till now. Got a Whistle Go in 2020 to replace the old one. By 2023, the lugs broke off, so I bought another. This new one died few days ago. Called support and they said they only offer a 6-month warranty since April last year. I was annoyed. I'd have to buy yet another new one. Seems they've changed their ways, not for the better. Lots of folks saying their new devices fail just after the warranty ends. Really disappointed. Loyal customer no more. Found better and cheaper options out there.
