My wife and I just got back from a trip on the Islander. We took advantage of the "Heroes Sail for Free" offer, paying only Port Charges & Taxes. After reading reviews online and watching YouTube videos, our trip turned out to be better than we had thought. Here are the positives: Embarkation took about an hour, from arrival to getting on board. The ship looked nice, especially with the Margaritaville theme. Our interior cabin was great, very clean and in good condition. The whole ship was well-kept and tidy. The crew, from the cabin attendants to the dining staff, was wonderful. Probably the friendliest staff we’ve encountered on any cruise. We enjoyed all of the nightly entertainment. Both of the Main Dining Rooms were good. The pizza and pastries were great. The Islander Dining Room was decent, though some items had an extra charge. Now for the drawbacks: Don’t bother with the Priority Boarding. We bought it, but there was no VIP line, and we ended up waiting with everyone else. The buffet had a small selection, and the food wasn’t great. It felt like it was over-seasoned. They served the same dishes as in the Dining Rooms. Breakfast at the buffet was awful, so we ended up eating breakfast at Fins Dining Room twice, which was much better. The Islander Dining Room had an upcharge, ranging from $20.00 - $30.00 per person. Some YouTube reviews gave the wrong impression about the buffet quality!

We had an enjoyable time with Margaritaville!

We had an enjoyable time with Margaritaville! The whole crew made our trip even better. I’d like to mention our helpful cruise director Terry and her assistant, along with Dewa from the cruise deck and Dewa from the Fins restaurant, Mohammed, Lucas, K Rush, and Don. Plus, our housekeeper was great, keeping our room very clean every day. Many team members were so friendly, greeting us with smiles often. The restaurants turned out to be more delicious than we expected, especially for the price. Service was excellent and quick, and we loved the gelato and pizza area.

We had a nice time. The food is pretty good, though it feels a bit repetitive after a few days. Grand Bahama Island isn't the best, as it’s quite industrial, but the excursions take you to beautiful beaches for the day. Entertainment was fun. Music was great. Drinks were good too. Not many people around. Good service. It's helpful to give the bartenders a bit of cash in addition to the service charge. The steakhouse was fine, but the buffet was better. Enjoyed a wonderful massage in the spa.

Nice ship (Islander).

Nice ship (Islander). Very clean and the decorations and layout have a nice atmosphere! The bar staff at the Landshark bar were awesome (Lucy, Jun, Budi, Deta, Errol, and our favorite Sr Bartender from Paradise, Sayad!). Nino was great as our cabin steward and really made the trip feel stress-free and fun. The ship is a wonderful vacation with just the right mix of activities. We will definitely be booking again!

We had a fantastic experience! The boat was great, and we even reserved another trip with Lorraine who was awesome, just like the rest of the crew! The food was tasty, and there was always a sun chair for us. It was so much fun. The entertainment was great! We’re excited to return again. The pool was enjoyable, and the shows were fantastic. The bartenders did a great job, and we really enjoyed strolling around!!!

Our cruise experience was fantastic! From the moment we got on board, everything was great. The entertainment was really good, offering amazing shows and fun activities each night. The food was tasty, with many choices to fit everyone's preferences, and the drinks were well-made and refreshing.
