We sailed on the Celebrity Equinox in the

We sailed on the Celebrity Equinox in the Mediterranean this past July. The cruise itself was okay, but it was clear that they had made some cuts, especially when it came to drinks. It was odd because every mixer served, from coke to lemonade and tonic water, was flat. They offered high-end, pricey gins and vodkas, but ruined the taste with cheap mixers that lost their fizz immediately. The rosé wine on the standard drinks package was undrinkable, yet they still charged $12 for it. Whoever picked that wine should have a rethink. And as for the decision to have Newcastle brown ale on tap at the pool bar – that was a strange move. I never saw anyone order it during the whole cruise. It's obvious they cut corners, and it didn't go unnoticed.

I recently booked a cruise on a Celebrity Solstice

I recently booked a cruise on a Celebrity Solstice class ship, paying extra for an Aqua Class cabin, expecting to enjoy a higher level of comfort. Unfortunately, I was dissapointed. Throughout the cruise, we were constantly disturbed by loud POUNDING 24 hours a day from TREADMILLS located above our cabin. I reached out to the spa, the gym, the “guest relations,” and even left a message for the captain. At one point, they suggested I should have known about this issue before booking and even offered me EARPLUGS in a rude manner. Despite being "assured" the problem would be solved, nothing ever changed. After the cruise, I contacted the corporate office, and they simply thanked me for pointing out an “issue they were already aware of.” I would advise staying away from Celebrity and all Solstice class ships. To improve, Celebrity needs to focus on customer service and be honest about the design flaws and their crew’s inability to address them.

    I encountered misleading promotions.

I encountered misleading promotions. I have evidence showing discounts of up to 75% off for the 2nd guest on the cruise we selected. Yet, the discount was not honored, even though the terms and conditions clearly mentioned that my trip was included. We reached out to the support team for clarification, but they provided unclear responses and eventually ended the call on us. I am quite disapointed with the deceptive marketing practices.

We just returned from a cruise on Apex

We just returned from a cruise on Apex, sailing from Southampton to Portugal, the Canaries, Madeira, and Spain. We booked last-minute, and a retreat suite was all that was left, though the extra cost didn't add much. The meals in Luminaire were average, and the service wasn't very attentive either. On the retreat deck, things moved very slowy. We tried other restaurants, but found the menus pretty much the same, just given a small twist depending on the place. The specialty dining options didn’t really feel worth the added expense. Our suite, located at the front, was the noisiest room I've experienced—it was impossible to get a full night’s sleep due to the constant banging sounds. We told our Butler several times, but nothing was actually resolved. We've got another trip with Apex planned for June 2025 to Norway, though I’m thinking of skipping it. It just felt a bit over rated.

One star doesn't even come close to showing how angry

One star doesn't even come close to showing how angry I am with the charges from Celebrity for a cancellation that couldn’t be avoided. Along with the agent and one excursion, we are now out more than £1000. My wife is suffering a lot of pain and seeing a consultant. A recent visit means we can’t go on the cruise. The agent doesn’t care and just says we should claim on insurance. We tried to appeal last year before we booked the insurance because we didn’t think we’d need it that year. Now, I'm looking into what I can do because, as pensioners, this was supposed to be a special treat for our joint 70th birthday, but the agent wouldn’t help and now it’s all ruined.
