We sailed on the Celebrity Equinox in the Mediterranean this past July. The cruise itself was okay, but it was clear that they had made some cuts, especially when it came to drinks. It was odd because every mixer served, from coke to lemonade and tonic water, was flat. They offered high-end, pricey gins and vodkas, but ruined the taste with cheap mixers that lost their fizz immediately. The rosé wine on the standard drinks package was undrinkable, yet they still charged $12 for it. Whoever picked that wine should have a rethink. And as for the decision to have Newcastle brown ale on tap at the pool bar – that was a strange move. I never saw anyone order it during the whole cruise. It's obvious they cut corners, and it didn't go unnoticed.
