    This was our first time going on a cruise

    This was our first time going on a cruise, and we were a bit unsure about it at first. We weren't really interested in staying on a boat, but we were excited to explore Mull and connect with the other passengers. The Glen Shiel was nice, tidy, and well-kept. The crew was friendly, helpful, and professional. They made sure to assist us whenever we were boarding or leaving the boat, or getting into the small boat for excursions. The seas were calm, and the Skipper always found a peaceful spot for the night. The food was delicious: fresh seafood, wine at dinner, and local cheeses. We would consider another cruise if we were sure it would be as good as this one.

    We wanted to send our thanks for an amazing cruise around Mull and the Inner Hebrides. The crew, Simon, Graham, and Celeste, were all fantastic, and Eddie's cooking was simply wonderful. We were really lucky to enjoy sunny weather during the whole trip, and the group of 11 got along perfectly, making the journey even better. Thanks once agian to everyone involved.

    Dear Majestic Line, we had a really enjoyable time on the Glen Tarsan. The crew were great in everything they did and really made the trip special. I couldn’t have asked for more during our week on board. If there’s anything better than a holiday like that, I’m curious to find out! Thanks again and best wishes.

    More than a year ago, I reserved a private charter

    More than a year ago, I reserved a private charter for six individuals. It was set to start on August 3rd, 2024. All six were family members, and the boat seemed perfect at about 70 feet. The company limits guests to six. Cruises depart from Oban, and they’re supposed to take you around Mull, stopping at suitable spots for overnight stays. My group included four adults and two kids who were eager to see the wildlife that was promised around the island. The cruise we picked was called wildlife adventure. Unfortunately, Scottish weather is often not great, and we couldn't fully navigate the island... Instead, we moved in and out of several sea lochs looking for safe places. The areas we saw were pretty and scenic, but the kids really wanted to see puffins and other wildlife, which we couldn't find. Our boat (Glen Rosa) had reportedly never gone all the way around Mull since its launch. This wasn’t shocking, as it was an old survey boat with a shallow draft. Of course, that wasn't how it was marketed. The main issue with the boat was its age... it felt quite worn down. The water in the tanks had a brown tint and was cold in the shower. The shower drains were clogged, causing the floor to flood. The beds were not very comfy or spacious, which was generally disappointing. The lady skipper said she had told the company about the shower and water temp issues, but they did nothing. The only bright spot during the six days was the food, which was good and customized to our tastes. When I complained to the company, I was met with silence, and even after bringing it up to the new owners (West Coast Motors), my concerns were ignored. I advise anyone considering a charter to think twice. Our six-night trip cost over £16,000, and their larger boats (which hold 11 or 12 guests) are even pricier.
