Easy install, fast results on raws
License activation was instant and the tutorials are bite sized. Denoise and upscale rescued a few underexposed photos without plastic skin. Exports are quick on my laptop. A small learning curve on masking, but the help articles are clear.

Fantastic output, heavy on gpu
Results look great, but my older laptop fans go wild during model downloads and processing. Worth the wait most of the time. I now queue batches, then grab coffee.

Bait and switch company. Avoid.
Paid for a license to use their software. It's a perpetual license for a single year's version. Then they changed their licensing scheme while simultaneously 'updating' their old software to no longer properly function. You now only have the option of paying for a subscription model, or nothing at all because their old software no longer functions. Avoid doing business with these scammers. They are not trustworthy.

The software now barely works, or doesn’t run
The software now barely works, or doesn’t run at all, because of cloud / download AI, etc. I wish I could go back to the older versions of Gigapixel and Photo AI that still function on slightly older Macs. I have 32GB RAM, an i7 chip, and OS 10.14, but I had to DELETE both programs...they freeze for ages. Been a loyal customer for years, REALLY DISSAPOINTED.

I use it for astrophotography to remove noise from my subs and it works great. It saves me so much time on my images and makes them look 100 percent better.

I haven’t had much chance to use the software so far, but the online help has been really good. Big thanks to Karen W! Based on this, and the positive feedback about Topaz Labs and their software, I’m eager to improve my image collection in 2025!
