Porkbun is usually the most afordable option out there, and has all the advanced features you would want (url forwarding with HTTPS, email forwarding, etc.) I always recommend Porkbun when people ask where they should purchase their new domains. The only other nice-to-have would be wild card email forwarding, but it's not a huge deal for me.

Not particularly amazing aesthetics

Not particularly amazing aesthetics, but amazing utility. The attention to detail for user experience is great, but I wish that the actual look of the website were slightly more polished, but perhaps that's asking for too much from the couple of devs who maintain the site. Oh, also, can we pay extra for a catch-all email?

The site was super easy to navigate and I had no issues grabbing my domains. However, I did notice that the prices have increased twice in just a few months, which isn't the best news. But then again, I've noticed a lot of companies raising their prices lately, so maybe it's just a general trend.
