My recent experience with a vacation rental

My recent experience with a vacation rental company was highly disappointing. I booked a property that seemed great in the listing, but when I arrived, I found out that there was construction both in the building and near the beach. The noise from heavy equipment and construction lights on the beach went on all night. Inside the building, the elevators were broken, making it difficult for my mother to get around, as the stairs were not an easy option for her. The condo itself was okay, but it was nowhere near what I expected from a "luxury" listing. I paid almost $3000 for this trip, and all I received was a partial refund of $260. I would not recommend using this company to anyone.

Booked a property with iTrip for my selected dates

Booked a property with iTrip for my selected dates and got a confirmation email and text. Two days later, I tried to show my family the place, but the listing had vanished from the website. Called their number, but it wouldn’t connect. By the next day, the listing was back, but at a much higher rate than I had booked. Called again, reached Chris, who said there were "listing mistakes." I asked if my booking was real—Chris: "Nope." I asked if I actually had a reservation—Chris: "Nope." No apology or any effort to help. Just left us feeling ignored.

Booked a rental through VRBO but realized too

Booked a rental through VRBO but realized too late it’s actually managed by iTRIP ST AUGUSTINE, a third-party company that doesn’t follow VRBO's policies. Our arrival was set for the day after Hurricane Milton, but with flooded streets and warnings to avoid downtown St Augustine, it was clear we couldn't proceed. VRBO's policy said a refund was possible, but the property manager wouldn’t honor it. Despite my offer to split the costs, there was no reply. Seems like a nice place, but be warned – VRBO's protection doesn’t apply here at all.

This company is awful!

This company is awful! I strongly suggest you avoid booking with them! They rely on third-party services and can't give you any details. They cancelled my $1200+ reservation just days before my trip, leaving me in a tough spot. They said it was flagged, fine, but where is my refund? No one has any answers. Danny told me he had no info on the refund, and Lily completely ignored me after that.
