I've been using Gabb phone for about 3 months
by Anonymous

I've been using Gabb phone for about 3 months now, and to be honest, I'm not too impressed. The first issue we encountered was when my son's phone got "water damage" just because his water bottle leaked in his backpack. I get that phones aren't waterproof, but this one seems particularly sensitive. My iPhone handles water much better. We also paid for my son to send and receive photos while we were on vacation, but when his phone died, he lost all the vacation pictures because apparently, we didn't pay for extra storage. It feels like Gabb charges for every little thing without properly explaining their services to customers. The worst part is that we're stuck in a 2-year contract, and I really wish we could change that. I thought Gabb would be a good alternative for my son, but it's been disappointing so far.

I've been using Gabb phone for my son
by Anonymous

I've been using Gabb phone for my son, and while there are some aspects I love, there are also a couple of issues that need addressing. First, the location tracking feature is not reliable. Every time I call to get it fixed, it works for a day and then stops again. Another concern is the emojis available on the phone. As a parent, I chose Gabb to protect my child from certain content, but the emojis include some that I find inappropriate for his age. For instance, there are gay emojis, and when he tried to send an emoji of a guy and a girl, it showed two guys instead. Despite these concerns, I appreciate the features that restrict screen time and social media use. Overall, it's a good phone for parents wanting to protect their kids from excessive phone usage and online dangers.

Unreliable GPS and frequent call dropping
by Erin R

The GPS feature on thephone never performs properly. Despite speaking with customer service and following the instructions, it only works for a temporary period before crashing again. It lacks features that would be either enjoyable for children or useful for parents. As such, Imay required to break my contract in order to get my kid a different phone, as the price of a new phone & plan is worth it for my child's safety.

I was having a hard time activating my daughter’s new phone.
by Athena

I was having a hard time activating my daughter’s new phone. We had just upgraded from a watch and for some reason I couldn’t get the phone activated. I was able to get ahold of Marcelina through customer service chat. She was super helpful and walked me through step by step and within 10 minutes we had it working. Marcelina was very patient and helpful.

Upgrading to a new watch wasn't as smooth
by J Stum

Upgrading to a new watch wasn't as smooth as expected. It took over 5 days and multiple agents to activate it. Talking to a person was better than using live chat. Agent (C) was the most helpful, staying on the line after hours to ensure everything worked. We appreciate the effort to make the watch function properly.

I had a bit of trouble with activating my kid's watches.
by Talisa Rafferty

I had a bit of trouble with activating my kid's watches. I waited until after hours, so only cheer was around. The person I spoke with stayed on for more than 45 minutes, helping me to get everything sorted out and making sure I was satisfied. I'm very thankful for that helpful individual.

This phone is really bad
by Anonymous

This phone is really bad. It uses outdated technology and can't even run basic music apps. You have to pay for a subscription just to send voicemails and pictures or videos, and even then, it doesn't work properly. If you want a reliable safety phone, go for the Bark phone instead.

My opinion on the company is
by Mike Co

My opinion on the company is that they were prompt in providing a new SIM card for my son's phone. When I reached out to customer support for assistance in setting it up, they efficiently helped me get it done within a short span of time.
