    Great communication tool.

    Great communication tool. Our small team, who work remotely, uses it daily. It helps us stay connected. We linked it with other tools we already use, so now calendar events, customer feedback, and reviews go into Slack channels. Helps us keep everything organized.

    We've used Slack for 3 years.

    We've used Slack for 3 years. It's important for us. Changes happened, mostly good. Latest UI a bit annoying. Don't like 1-year limit on attachments. Cheaper plans needed for small businesses. We have multiple workplaces due to costs.

    Unethical behavior.

    Unethical behavior. I recently signed up to give it a try, and a few days later, they upgraded my account to a pro trial without asking. The problem is that if your team members begin using pro features unknowingly, you end up obligated to pay for pro to retain any work done. This seems unfair. Offering a free pro trial is one thing, but changing your account status without consent is quite another. Deceptive.

    I wish it could be better.

    I wish it could be better. The threats opened on the side bar are confusing, they are a part of the main conversation and they disappear and hard to track on the side bar.

    The redesign is baffling and hard to read

    The redesign is baffling and hard to read. Three layered windows make you look at the UI repeatedly instead of just once. The grab-space around the app window is smaller – you need to enlarge it to handle it. The design pushes you to make the window full screen, which seems like the goal: to take over your screen like your new flashy work OS, right? Most annoyingly, the grey text is now hard to read against the varied backgrounds and drop shadows, along with unnecessary nested boxes. It's fussy and really annoying to have this in my daily work.

    Slack was once great, but now it's chaotic.

    Slack was once great, but now it's chaotic. Not sure why they messed up what used to function. Harder to follow messages, unclear notifications, threads don't track everything. Contacts vanish, shuffle around, confusing to find.
