I strongly advise you to avoid any association with this company! My experience with Guesty, particularly the London franchise, has been nothing short of a nightmare. I stayed at the Kingscross Apartments in London for four days and checked out on September 3. It has now been a month, and Guesty still holds my 600 Euro deposit. They keep citing technical issues and claim to be working on returning the funds. However, this morning, I was informed that they have to restart the entire refund process due to a vague "technical problem."
In essence, I suspect that Guesty, at least the London branch, uses the rentals provided by owners to collect security deposits for the hosts. They appear to rely on these funds to run their business, or perhaps they've spent the money and can't afford to reimburse it. I'm not sure who is leaving those 4-star reviews, but I would strongly discourage considering Guesty for rentals in London, based on my dreadful experience. You'd be better off choosing another property management company with a reputable track record; there are many good ones to choose from. It appears I'm out $1000 CAD, as I have no means to pursue legal action from Canada. What a disappointment.
