Living in Corpus Christi, I
Living in Corpus Christi, I decided to send some New Year’s Eve treats from Publix to my daughter in Madison, AL. Publix uses Instacart for deliveries, and while the delivery guy kept me updated on some substitutions, he left the order at the wrong address. My daughter’s friend drove around trying to find it but had no luck.
I contacted Instacart, and after lots of back-and-forth, they said it would be redelivered between 2 and 4 p.m. But then I got a confirmation saying it’d be delivered on January 1. Frustrated, I spoke to Instacart again, but nothing could be done. They offered a refund in 5-10 business days, a Publix credit, or reschedule, none of which were ideal.
The Publix store manager was amazing, though. He went above and beyond, even offering to deliver any urgent items himself. People make mistakes, especially during the holidays, but paying $23 for a failed delivery is unacceptable. I won’t use Instacart again and hope others in Alabama think twice before using them.
