Customers can be rude in Bridgeton.

Customers can be rude in Bridgeton. They don’t get "technical difficulties". InstaCart sometimes lists orders for a local store, but customers live up to 35 mins away and pay only $12, as if gas isn’t $4 a gallon. It’s tough, but sometimes you do what you gotta do to make ends meet.

The company has potential, but there were issues. The driver got lost and didn't call. I missed his text. It caused a problem. My order got canceled. Instacart reps don't speak English well. They didn't help. Calling them doesn't work.

I would rate them 0 star if I could.

I would rate them 0 star if I could. The shoppers don’t seem to look for the items I ask for, and when they do, they often replace them with ones that cost almost twice as much. Even when they find the right items, they often forget to check the expiration dates. The app hardly works, and customer service never replies or helps.

    Instacart let me down.

Instacart let me down. Ordered groceries in Jesup, GA, cost about $50 plus fees. After driver left, they charged my card $85 more. Ordered from Costco near Atlanta, no substitutions, got completely wrong items. Daughter in Colorado ordered yellow squash, got bananas instead.

    I've only used Instacart twice.

I've only used Instacart twice. My recent delivery was spot on. But, I messed up the terms and got charged $108 for an annual fee. I wasn't happy and called customer service to figure it out. They got where I was coming from and didn't make a fuss, just refunded me right away. The delivery service and customer support were top-notch. I did call them as soon as I noticed the charge, which probably helped. Their quick response made my day. I'll definitely double-check the costs next time I use these delivery services.

    Smooth experience as always

I've been using Instacart for a while now and usually have a smooth experience, always ordering my groceries from Krogers. It's been pretty reliable, but yesterday was kinda disappointing. The delivery driver just dropped off my groceries on the porch, right in the sun, and didn't bother to knock or ring the bell. By the time I found them, some stuff was already warm and not looking great. I hope this was just a one-time slip-up because I usually trust them to get things right. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

    Being a busy mom, Instacart

Being a busy mom, Instacart has been a lifesaver for me. Most of the dinners have been fantastic, really helps me keep things together. I don't get why there are so many negative reviews, maybe it's just better in Oregon? The customer service has generally been super helpful whenever I've had questions. It's not perfect all the time, but for the most part, my experiences have been really positive. The convenience alone makes it worth it for me. Would recommend to other parents juggling a million things at once.

    I had a frustrating experience

I had a frustrating experience with Instacart while trying to get medication delivered to a family member. The driver was nice and seemed to have the correct address, but Instacart refused to complete the delivery without a valid driver's license. My family member can't drive anymore due to medical reasons, so their license is expired. I tried explaining this to customer service, but they were completely unhelpful and indifferent. We even offered to show other forms of ID like mail and refill bottles, but they wouldn't budge. Ended up having to contact the pharmacy for a workaround, which could take a week. It's ridiculous and shows zero compassion. I wouldn't recommend using Instacart.

    I used to think Instacart

I used to think Instacart had my back, but after my latest experience, I'm not so sure anymore. I ordered food through the app, expecting my subscription to cover the delivery, only to find out it was actually Uber Eats handling it. So, I ended up paying hefty delivery and service fees. When my food finally arrived—cold and super late—I reached out for help and got bounced between Instacart and Uber Eats. Neither of them owned the problem. Instacart passed me off to Uber Eats, and then they just ended the chat, saying they’d email me. The email was basically a "sorry, not sorry" note. I’ve given Instacart more than one chance, but I’m done now. Not worth it.

    You know, ordering from this

You know, ordering from this service is kinda hit or miss. Sometimes you get a great shopper and everything's perfect, but other times, it feels like a gamble. The bigger the order, the more things can go wrong. I really wish there was some consistent way they managed replacements or kept in touch with customers. It would make things so much easier. Honestly, I'm starting to feel unsure about placing big orders with them anymore. It's a bit of a bummer since I used to rely on them for my groceries.

    My first order went smoothly

Just got started with this app, and my first order went smoothly. But then, on my second order, they suddenly deactivated my account out of nowhere! I'm really bummed about it because I was just getting into using the app. Now, I'm stuck waiting for them to respond, and I don't have a couple of days to spare just to get this sorted out. Honestly, I'm thinking about switching to something more reliable. This experience has been quite disappointing.

Just stay away from Instacart, seriously.

So, I had a pretty awful experience with Instacart, and it’s definitely my first and last time using them. I was looking for a simple product and saw that Instacart had a good deal, so I signed up for their free trial. Right after I placed the order, I got a bunch of texts from the driver saying he was on his way. Then, another text came through saying my item wasn’t available and offered a replacement, which was more expensive and less quantity. I never agreed to the replacement, but they went ahead and charged me anyway. When the item arrived, I was shocked to see it was not what I wanted and cost way more. I called their customer service, which was useless. They just apologized and told me to fill out a form for a refund. After a few days and no response, they finally said my refund was denied. Even Shoppers Drug Mart couldn’t help since the driver used his own credit card. This company feels like a scam. I canceled my membership, but even that’s a hassle. Just stay away from Instacart, seriously.

Instacart’s customer service is really slipping

So, I had an order that was supposed to arrive within a certain delivery window, but no shopper was assigned. I reached out to support via chat but waited over 20 minutes with no response. Frustrated, I called their support number. The agent assured me the order would be on time, but I pointed out that no shopper had been assigned and the delivery window was already missed. She put me on hold for a few minutes and then confirmed what I already knew—no shopper had been assigned. I asked if I should cancel or wait for a shopper, and she said, "I don't know." After another long hold, she finally canceled my order and said I'd get a refund in 10 business days. I asked if I could get a credit instead, but she said no. Instacart is too dependent on available shoppers, and while I get that, they need to give better info and not charge for orders that can't be delivered. Ten days for a refund is way too long. They gave me a $5 credit for the trouble, but honestly, Instacart’s customer service is really slipping.

    I’m seriously fed up with

I’m seriously fed up with Instacart. My first couple of deliveries were spot-on, but it’s been downhill since. I tried scheduling a few deliveries in advance with a 3-hour window. Simple enough, right? Wrong. Placed my order a day ahead with a 3-hour delivery window, only to find out 30 minutes before the cut-off that they hadn't even assigned a driver. Ended up having to cancel my plans because the order included alcohol and I needed to be home for it. The order finally arrived, and while it was correct, it was super late and only came after I reached out to them. Instacart promised me free delivery on a future $35+ order, which turned out to be useless since I order through Costco with an executive membership. Checked for the free delivery—they insisted I had it, but I didn’t. Sent screenshots and everything, but they still insisted. So frustrating. They were late, I had to cancel plans, and the order arrived only after I pushed for it. And the free delivery? Total joke. So done with this.

    Living in Corpus Christi, I

Living in Corpus Christi, I decided to send some New Year’s Eve treats from Publix to my daughter in Madison, AL. Publix uses Instacart for deliveries, and while the delivery guy kept me updated on some substitutions, he left the order at the wrong address. My daughter’s friend drove around trying to find it but had no luck. I contacted Instacart, and after lots of back-and-forth, they said it would be redelivered between 2 and 4 p.m. But then I got a confirmation saying it’d be delivered on January 1. Frustrated, I spoke to Instacart again, but nothing could be done. They offered a refund in 5-10 business days, a Publix credit, or reschedule, none of which were ideal. The Publix store manager was amazing, though. He went above and beyond, even offering to deliver any urgent items himself. People make mistakes, especially during the holidays, but paying $23 for a failed delivery is unacceptable. I won’t use Instacart again and hope others in Alabama think twice before using them.

    Being a single mom working

Being a single mom working 50+ hours a week, I heavily rely on grocery delivery. Over the past few weeks, I've used Instacart several times, but each experience was worse than the last. My main item is Red Bull, which is behind the courtesy desk at Price Chopper. Despite texting drivers about this, issues persist. One driver didn't speak English and claimed the store was out of everything, including my Red Bull, which was false. Another time, a driver bought the Red Bull but it never made it to my bag. Today, I texted the driver because the app wasn’t working. She got an attitude, bragging about being a "diamond shopper" and dismissed my concerns. She showed up with a guy, made me carry heavy water cases, and then both of them started yelling profanities and calling me names outside my house, scaring my daughter. This was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Instacart, you need to do better.

    Scam experience

I had quite an experience with this service while trying to purchase some liquor for the office with a company card. The card wasn’t under my name, and that’s where the trouble started. They put my account on hold, insisting on an ID that matched the card, which I didn’t have. Tried using a different card and ID, but no luck. Live chat was supposed to help, but they just directed me to emails I’d already checked. Calling didn’t help either. Finally got a scan of the owner’s ID, but they didn’t accept scans. Frustrated, I decided to just delete my account, but that was a hassle too. With my account on hold, I couldn’t access the deletion option. Live chat was silent for ages, then told me to find the Privacy Portal online. After a lot of searching, I stumbled upon it through a third-party site and finally requested account deletion. Such a frustrating and unhelpful experience!

    I signed up to be

I signed up to be a shopper with this app on 3/15/25. Right after, my account got locked because of a background check. It was done by 3/22, but then my account needed identity verification. I tried contacting customer service several times with no response. By 3/28, I was still reaching out daily with no luck. Suddenly, they said I needed another background check. I contacted Checku, got a prompt response, and finished the paperwork. But then my account got locked again for UD verification. It's been 16 days now. The forum shows employees face this daily. I’m a licensed professional but chemo has me home-bound, so I hoped this would help financially and mentally. The customer service is awful. The complaints are staggering, and they seem to manipulate info to lower pay. I have documented everything, but still no resolution. Still waiting.

    I've been using Instacart for

I've been using Instacart for years without issues, but last month, things went south. I noticed a mysterious $38 extra charge on my receipt, labeled as an "extra delivery charge" that was supposed to drop off after a week. It never did. When I called customer service, they were no help and insisted I just wait for it to disappear. It didn't. After three frustrating calls to their customer service in the Philippines, where I was treated quite rudely, I got nowhere. Being 76 and unable to drive, $38 is a big deal for me. Even my bank couldn't help, labeling it a "legit charge." So, I canceled Instacart, which was another nightmare. Now, I'm using FreshPass from Vons and Albertsons, and it's been smooth sailing. Can't believe Instacart would let a loyal customer go over $38.

    Ordered from Aldi through Instacart

Ordered from Aldi through Instacart aiming to make a special meal for our 3rd anniversary. Had around 15 items, and the delivery was supposed to be at 4 PM. Shopper arrived at 2 PM but didn't start shopping until 2:30 PM. Found out through a message that the shopper was handling multiple orders - wish I had been notified since this never happened with other stores. By 4:30 PM, I started getting worried. Contacted customer service (had to create an account, which was a hassle) and the rep was polite but unhelpful, just said my order was on its way. By 5:30 PM, groceries still hadn’t shown up, ruining the dinner plans. Also, my first order arrived smelling like cigarette smoke. Overall, very disappointed and won't be using Aldi or Instacart again.

    I had to rely on

I had to rely on this service due to my disability, and it's been nothing but a headache. Several orders came wrong, and I didn’t realize you only have seven days to file a complaint. I started using the service when I got really sick with the flu and pneumonia, so I let some mistakes slide at first. They did refund a few smaller orders, but for a big one over $200, they refused to give my money back or offer any credit or re-delivery. And, am I the only one who never gets an American rep? Every time I call, I get someone foreign, and even the supervisors have names I can’t pronounce. Avoid this service unless you absolutely have to, and make sure to check your order before the delivery person leaves. This company is a scam.

    As someone who uses Instacart

As someone who uses Instacart regularly, I gotta say, it's a mixed bag. First off, the prices are through the roof. Seriously, why is it so expensive to place an order when the shoppers themselves get paid peanuts? Makes you wonder where all that money's going. And don’t even get me started on the technical issues. Just today, more than half of my orders had to be rescheduled because of some payment card issues. Imagine shopping for nearly an hour, only to find out you can’t pay and the order gets canceled. The shoppers get stuck with a tiny batch pay while missing out on the tips they depend on. It’s just not fair, especially since tips make up the bulk of their earnings. Instacart really needs to sort this out.

    I wish I could give

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with Instacart has been terrible. First, their fees are outrageous. Plus, they hike up grocery prices, even on sale items. I've been on their monthly plan for a year due to health issues and travel, canceling when not needed and renewing when I am home. Out of nowhere, they charged me $99 for an annual fee I never selected. When I contacted them, they refused a refund. I talked to two employees, one of whom I could barely understand. Her name was Aliza, and she wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. I've now filed a complaint with my bank and Publix. No response yet. This mess will affect my shopping with Publix, and I'll never use Instacart again. Avoid them!

Really hoping someone sorts this out soon!

Hey there, I’ve been driving for Instacart for a bit now, delivering groceries all around town. Things usually go smooth, but lately, I’ve been hitting some bumps. So, on April 20, they had this promo where drivers were supposed to get at least $64 for doing six deliveries. I did exactly that, but they tossed me just $3—can you believe that? Then there’s this whole other mess: end of March, did two deliveries, didn’t see a penny of the $52, and then early April, another $18 vanished into thin air. Tried knocking on their support door with screenshots and everything, even tweeted them, but got nothing more than vague replies. Feels like I’m talking to a wall here. Really hoping someone sorts this out soon!

    I had the worst experience

I had the worst experience with Instacart. Tried to get some groceries, but it was a mess from start to finish. My shopper said they needed more money even though I’d already paid online. I tried to clear things up, but they just didn’t get it. So, I contacted support, and they said it was wrong for the shopper to ask for more money and promised to fix it. Hours went by, and nothing changed. My delivery window kept getting pushed back, and I still didn’t have my stuff. Finally, after more back-and-forth, support gave me a refund. This was my first time using Instacart, and I was hoping for an easy experience, but it was a nightmare. Shopper was rude and unprofessional. Never using this service again.

    I've been using the Giant

I've been using the Giant Foods app for my groceries without a hitch until recently. On April 17, I tried to order, but the app had some tech issues. Customer service redirected me to Instacart, so I placed my order there. I waited by my door the whole delivery window, but nothing showed up. Tried again the next day through Giant Foods, and thankfully, everything arrived fine. But then, checking my bank account, I saw Instacart charged me for the non-existent delivery. After multiple calls to Instacart, they refused to refund me without any explanation. Now I'm disputing the charge through my bank and planning to lodge a complaint with Giant Foods. This whole fiasco was frustrating beyond belief!

    This company is really frustrating

Ugh, this company is really frustrating. I’ve heard from a bunch of folks that whenever there's a tip, they actually pay their workers less. Plus, many people using the service don’t tip, and those orders end up mixed with ones that do tip. They boast about shoppers making up to $25/hr, but honestly, you’re lucky if you get $13 or $14. And for shop-only orders? No tips allowed. I chatted with some workers at grocery stores offering shop-only, and they said customers try to tip them thinking they’re the ones shopping. It’s just wrong. Sure, it's not all bad, but there are many ways to improve things for the workers rather than being selfish and giving them the smallest reward for their hard work.

    I had a terrible experience

I had a terrible experience with Instacart recently. Ordered groceries through Stop and Shop, but some items never got delivered. Gave them the store's number to confirm my order, but they kept calling the 800 customer service number instead. They said they couldn't reach the store manager four times, which seemed like an excuse. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Instacart, and they just kept saying they understood but did nothing to fix the issue. I even asked for my $10 tip back, but no luck. Either they don't know what they're doing or they're just giving people the runaround. Very frustrating! Stop and Shop really should consider using a different delivery service. Not happy at all!

    Buyer beware!

So, imagine this: I ordered some Budweiser from this delivery service, thinking it would be a breeze. I wanted two 18-packs, but they were out of stock. I ticked the box for a refund, but that went totally ignored. The shopper reached out, offering two 12-packs instead. Against my better judgment, I said yes. The receipt from the driver showed $29.18, but Instacart billed me $49.28, as if I got the original order. I tried calling them, even the driver tried, but hours passed without a peep. Frustrated, I contacted American Express to dispute the charge. Honestly, dealing with their customer service is a nightmare. I'm done with them; they just can't seem to get it right. Buyer beware!

    Let me tell you about

Let me tell you about my frustrating experience with Instacart. I'm 64 and have a broken arm. I ended up canceling my account after they charged me for an order that never showed up. I followed all their steps, they said they'd look into it, but nothing happened. Months went by and they still charged me for that order. Now, when I'm laid up and can't drive, they refuse to reactivate my account. They claim I had multiple accounts, but that's only because their system kept locking me out, and they suggested I create new ones. I won't use their delivery service again, and they won't even let someone else pick up my groceries. Instacart preys on seniors instead of helping us. Avoid them!
