The food is tasty and simple to cook.
The food is tasty and simple to cook. I appreciate the variety of recipes and the accurate portions. However, the green onions were often dry and old.

This Home Chef soup was a disaster.
This Home Chef soup was a disaster. Almost no chicken, tiny veggies, few noodles. Celery was bad, and oily broth didn't mix. Worst soup ever. Don't buy!

I tried Home Chef recently
I tried Home Chef recently and it was quite an adventure. The recipes were super easy to follow and the dishes looked just like the pictures, which was a nice surprise. The food tasted pretty great and there weren't any missing ingredients. I didn't find anything wrong with the service, but I ended up canceling because I realized I enjoy doing my own meal prepping. Still, it was fun to make some dishes I wouldn't normally try, and I'll probably add a few of their recipes to my usual lineup. Canceling was straightforward and the customer service rep, Rhonda, was really helpful. Appreciate it!

Man, Home Chef has been
Man, Home Chef has been a game changer for us. Used to spend a fortune on groceries, always forgetting something essential and having to dash out last minute. And when we’re crunched for time, we’d eat out way too much. But these meals? They taste better than most places we used to go. Love that you can tweak the recipes and there’s so many options. We usually order extra servings and then have leftovers for lunch the next day. It’s super convenient and actually ends up saving us money. Plus, the food is just so good. Can't imagine going back to our old grocery routine.

My partner and I have
My partner and I have been loving our experience with Home Chef. The meals are top-notch, and cooking dinner feels exciting again. After two decades of cooking for my family, I was totally over it, especially with the kids all grown up. Now, it's just my husband and me, and Home Chef has turned dinner into a fun activity we share. We’ve tried dishes we'd never think to make ourselves. The portions are just right, no leftovers, no waste. We clean our plates every night, it's that good! This has definitely spiced up our dinners and brought back the joy of cooking.

Total win for me!
So, I gave Home Chef a try after reading loads of reviews. We're a family of five, and our youngest is 9. We've cooked up 9 meals so far, and most of them were pretty straightforward to make. The ingredients were mostly fresh, though we did get one cucumber that was frozen solid—had to toss that one. The meals were tasty, and when they say spicy, they mean it! I rate the recipes an 8 out of 10 for taste, and even my grandson is giving them a go. The adults in the house are big fans, and the best part is I don't have to hit the grocery store. Total win for me!

Everything perfect
I've been overwhelmed with homeschooling my three boys and managing the house, so I decided to give Home Chef a try. They sent my meals within two days, and I was blown away. Everything was perfectly portioned, with recipe cards and all the ingredients needed for delicious dinners. Even my picky kids loved it! The only downside was they included four $35 gift cards for my friends and family, but they were all expired as of January 31, 2025, and I received them in April 2025. But overall, having these meal kits has been a game changer for our busy household.

I can't believe how Home
I can't believe how Home Chef has turned cooking into something enjoyable again. I used to dread figuring out what to make and gathering all the ingredients, but now it's all delivered right to my door. The recipes are easy to follow, and I'm learning new techniques that I hadn't tried in ages. I'm whipping up fancy meals that I never thought I could make, and they taste incredible. Cooking has become fun and exciting, and I look forward to it every week. Home Chef really changed the game for me, and I couldn't be happier with the delicious results.

I've been using Home Chef
I've been using Home Chef since late 2017 and have tried over 1200 meals. Honestly, their food is great. My husband and I have been eating healthier, and the meals are more satisfying than what we get at local restaurants. There's not a single bad thing I can say about Home Chef. Their meals are tasty and healthy, and I really appreciate the effort they put into making food that's good for my family. Thanks to Home Chef, we’re eating better and enjoying our meals more.

Its a solid experience
I've been a regular customer for a while now, and let me tell you, the protein variety here is fantastic—especially if you're into shrimp and seafood. It's not just the usual chicken and ground meat, which is refreshing. I definitely have my go-to favorites, but trying new dishes is always a treat. The express and oven-ready options are a lifesaver after a long workday. I can whip up a delicious meal without sacrificing hours in the kitchen. Everything comes packed nicely for shipping, which I appreciate. My only wish? I'd love to see more veggies included with the meals. But hey, adding my own is no biggie! Overall, it's a solid experience that keeps me coming back for more.

I've always been a fan
I've always been a fan of this meal service, but lately things have been a bit off. The last few deliveries haven't been up to their usual standards. The veggies in my meals, like the peppers, tomatoes, and spinach, were pretty soggy and only half usable. Also, for the orange glazed salmon, the sesame seeds and ginger chile seasoning were missing. Instead of couscous, I got rice with the shrimp dish, which was a bummer. The salmon fillets were much thinner than I remember, too. I suspect the heat and a day’s delay might have played a role. Maybe I should skip summer orders? Anyway, I hope things go back to how awesome they were before.

I recently tried out this
I recently tried out this meal kit service, and man, the food is just incredible. I mean, the flavors and variety—they really hit it out of the park. You never get bored with their options. But, there's this annoying thing with the packaging. Like, sometimes the recipe sheets are missing or they toss in a recipe for something I didn’t even order. And those ice packs? They freeze some of the veggies, which is kinda a bummer. Plus, the spice packets sometimes get wet and turn into clumps. It’s not enough to make me quit them, but it’s definitely frustrating. Overall, though, the food keeps me coming back.

I've been using Home Chef
I've been using Home Chef for about five years, and I love how they've expanded their meal options. Cooking is fun for me, but I also appreciate the express meals when I'm in a hurry. The quality of the food is always top-notch. Following the recipes is a breeze, and it saves me from those frustrating grocery store trips. Everything I need is right there! I don't even worry about breakfast and lunch anymore, as Home Chef has it all covered. Dinners are a delight and overall, it really simplifies my life.

I’ve been trying out this
I’ve been trying out this meal kit service, and let me tell you, the food is pretty solid. You get good quality and enough to fill you up, which is always a win. The recipes are straightforward too, making cooking a breeze. I’ve even got this nifty binder to keep them all organized. But here’s the kicker: I’ve received the same recipe three times. What's up with that? It’s a bit of a letdown when you're looking for variety. Plus, with all the extra stuff, the price starts to add up. I’m thinking I’ll gather a few more recipes and then switch to something more budget-friendly.

Man, I’ve been with Home
Man, I’ve been with Home Chef for almost three years, and I gotta say, their meal selection and packaging are top-notch. But the delivery service? Ugh, it’s been a nightmare lately. The first year was smooth sailing – always on time. But then they switched to a new service and things went downhill. At first, it was just a bit late, like 7 or 8 PM, which was okay. But now, it’s ridiculous – deliveries showing up at 9, 10, sometimes even after 10 PM. That’s way too late for food, right? Customer service says they have till midnight to deliver, which is crazy. Tried other meal kits, but their menus just don’t cut it for me. And to make things worse, a few times my box ended up at the wrong address or wasn’t even left at my front door. Seriously disappointing. Home Chef needs to get their act together with these deliveries.

Home Chef has a nice
Home Chef has a nice variety of meals and good quality, but where I live in central gulf coast Florida, their delivery service is a mess. They use a delivery company that’s totally unreliable. I’ve already canceled two meal services because of this same delivery issue. Fresh meals need to arrive on time, but with Home Chef’s delivery service, you never know if you'll get your meals on the promised day, the next day, or even at all. Once, they said they couldn't deliver because they needed an access code, which is weird since I don't live in a gated community. Another time, they just lost my package. Deliveries have even come as late as 10 PM. This really messes up the whole experience with Home Chef.

Been using this service for
Been using this service for five weeks and already thinking of canceling. First two weeks went smoothly, deliveries arrived right on time and the quality was spot on. Then, the third week, my box just didn't show up. Customer service was nice enough to give me a credit, which was cool. But the fourth week, the box arrived two days late, and everything inside was warm and unusable. This week, same story – late again and the proteins aren't safe to eat. Maybe I can save some of the veggies, but it's really hit or miss with them. Delivery times and product quality just aren't consistent enough for me.

Just wasn't worth the hassle
I was pretty excited about trying out this meal delivery service, but things went south pretty quick. When my first box showed up, the packaging was all banged up and the recipe cards were in such bad shape, I couldn't even read them. I reached out to their customer service hoping for some help, but the replies were cold and didn't seem to care about fixing anything. Felt like they were just brushing me off. After that experience, I decided to cancel my subscription. It's a bummer because I had high hopes, but I definitely won't be recommending this to anyone else. Just wasn't worth the hassle.

I decided to try HC
I decided to try HC for two weeks, thinking it would be a convenient way to get meals. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. First week, they forgot some ingredients, so I couldn't even make the meal right. They gave me a $5 coupon, but that didn’t really help fix things. Second week, one of the recipes was missing. On top of that, none of the meals tasted good to me, despite being nicely packaged. It was a waste of money and I wouldn't recommend ordering from them. Definitely not doing it again.

I tried Home Chef because
I tried Home Chef because of their "Free Dessert for Life" deal, but it’s a total scam. They add $5-$10 more to my weekly bill for this so-called free dessert. I reached out to customer service and got nowhere. They just keep giving me excuses. Very disappointed. Feels like they’re ripping me off. Buyer beware!

You know, we decided to
You know, we decided to give this meal service another shot recently, thinking things might've improved. But boy, were we wrong. Over the past month, we faced food quality issues three times. The veggies were often past their prime, and the pork, despite cooking it right, was tough as leather. Contacted support twice, and while they gave us a credit, it didn’t help much. The real kicker came with our Chimichurri Beef Lettuce Wraps. We opened the bag only to find it swarming with fruit flies! We live in Arizona, and seeing those bugs was a shocker. Washing everything helped, but it made us realize these pests had been around before. Contacted support again, got a refund, but no real acknowledgment of the issue. Frustrating!

They lost me
So, I was checking out Home Chef, hoping to find some good meals that fit my gluten-free, dairy-free, and Keto needs. I had to give my credit card info just to see their options, which was a bit off-putting. When I looked, there really weren't enough choices for my diet, so I decided not to order. But, surprise! A box of meals showed up at my door anyway. I called them up and said I hadn't ordered anything, so I wanted my money back. Initially, they offered just a 50% refund, which I found unacceptable. After a bit of back-and-forth, the customer service rep was nice enough to give me a full refund. Still, I warned them that their practices felt shady and they lost me as a potential customer.

I tried this meal kit
I tried this meal kit service for a month, but it was a rough ride. Every week, something was wrong with my delivery – missing recipe cards, leaking ingredients, or even entirely wrong meals. Dealing with these issues was a nightmare. I had to report each problem separately through a chatbot that took forever. The human customer service wasn’t much better, with limited scripts that made the whole process frustrating. I spent at least half an hour each week just checking the delivery, and even more time reporting errors. While some recipes were decent, others were bland and the beef was usually chewy. After four weeks, I had enough and gave up. It didn’t save me any time at all.

Definitely won't be recommending
I picked up a Groupon for four meals for four people for two weeks and went straight to the site to redeem it. Entered my code, did the ordering, but hit a snag in the second week. Suddenly, I could only get one meal for the second week. When I reached out, HomeChef blamed Groupon for misleading ads and didn’t take any responsibility. Felt pretty let down by their customer service, especially Emily who didn't help at all and refused to connect me with a manager despite several requests. I’ve tried many food box companies and usually have great experiences, but this was a major disappointment. Definitely won't be recommending HomeChef to anyone.

I usually look forward to
I usually look forward to my weekly deliveries, but on 6/2, things went south. My order didn't show up at all. It was a bit frustrating, you know? Home Chef did credit me for the week, which was nice, but they didn't send out a replacement. I remember a similar thing happened with Blue Apron once. They not only refunded me but also made sure I got a replacement the very next day. That kind of service makes a difference, you know? I'm hoping Home Chef steps up a bit next time. I really like their meals, just wish their customer service was a bit more proactive when things go wrong.

We hadn't used Home Chef
We hadn't used Home Chef for a while after moving. My wife was just browsing through the meal options and logged out. Next thing we know, we get an alert that our credit card was charged $135. Turns out, just looking at the site triggered some recurring charge! It even showed up as a charge from a company called Tempo, which made us think we got hacked. We had to call customer service and it was a hassle to get the charges removed. They tried hard to keep us, but we ended up deleting our whole account. Be careful, even just checking the menu can get you hit with a big fee.

I gave Home Chef a whirl
I gave Home Chef a whirl, hoping for a hassle-free dinner solution. When it arrived, the chaos was real. Bags were a jumble, and I had to play detective sorting out ingredients for each meal. To top it off, several ingredients were missing, while some random extras made a surprise appearance. I ended up dialing customer service and canceling the whole thing. Now I'm back to square one, staring at my kitchen wondering what's for dinner. Maybe it's time I embrace my inner chef and whip something up myself. It was an adventure, but not quite the one I signed up for!

You won't believe what happened
You won't believe what happened with my first order from this place. I was super excited, but then things went south real quick. They dropped off my delivery in the lobby without a peep, no notification or anything. I stumbled upon it by accident while heading out for some food. Who knows how long it was sitting there, but the frozen pack was already melted. And get this, I ordered microwavable meals and instead got a bunch of prep meals. Like, seriously? Not what I signed up for. Definitely not gonna order from them again, what a letdown.

I tried out this meal
I tried out this meal service, thinking it would be a nice change from my usual routine. Boy, was I wrong. They charged me a hefty amount for the meals, but then totally skipped sending the recipe cards and the pans needed to cook them. I mean, how am I supposed to make these meals without the instructions or tools? It felt so half-hearted and unprofessional. If you’re paying for a service, they should at least send you everything you need. Honestly, it just feels like they’re ripping you off. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
