Using the Insta360 X5 every day to capture real-world traffic is a bit of a rollercoaster. The camera itself is a dream – brilliant image quality, fantastic stabilization, and GPS integration. But the software? It's like hitting a pothole at full speed. Imagine having to export a 30-minute video just to add overlays like speed or tilt, and then importing it again to trim. Want to tweak the overlay's appearance? You're starting from scratch. And if you remove the SD card, your project loses file links, so you're stuck holding onto it forever or cloning it. Overlaying two text elements simultaneously? Forget it. The lack of a proper timeline, layers, or real workflow is frustrating. I had to shell out for the GPS Remote because my phone's GPS wouldn’t sync, yet I still need external editors like DaVinci Resolve to achieve what Insta360 Studio should handle. This camera could be legendary, but the software is holding it back. Insta360, please, for the love of creators, get the software right.
