    Lean phone system that delivers

It’s minimal, fast, and lets our team handle calls and texts like a tiny call center. I grinned when the IVR worked on the first try.

    Five minute phone setup

    Solid second line setup

Signed up for a local number, forwarded to my cell, and set a simple greeting. Docs were short and useful. Minor hiccup linking voicemail email notifications, but support nudged me to the right toggle. Working smoothly now.

    Solid for lean teams

Getting a fresh number for campaigns took almost no effort. A few labels in settings felt nerdy at first, but the call routing and voicemail drops keep our scrappy crew looking polished.

The phone number keypad/touch tone will not generate tone on keypress

The phone number keypad/touch tone will not generate tone on keypress. When I call an automated phone service menu and they ask to press a key (Press 1 for English Press 2 for French) etc no tone is heard or generated tone move thru automated menus? This happens using this app on browsers or Mobile Android app. Has anyone have this happen to them? Customer service is ridiculous (looks like an AI Bot) is asking and repeating the same questions to my answers! I am really fed Up with Them!!

    Worst service every….

I have try to be patient with this company but I had never had a decent phone call since I’ve been with them for year. Drop calls all the time and then you can’t pick up the call when they come in and the voicemail never works half the time. If you are able able to to grab the call it is 50/50 they will be able to hear you. Just don’t do it it is not worth it.

Dependable business phone with some small issues.

Dependable business phone with some small issues. I’ve used Phone2 for around 3 months. Very good for managing several phone numbers in one place. The web app works really well, and connecting with Slack was simple. Compared to other phone systems that work with Slack, Phone2 offers the best value. I will keep using it and really reccomend it.

This service works well for calls and messages

This service works well for calls and messages when I am outside the USA. I like that I don’t need a US phone number or a costly plan while in Europe, but I can still stay connected for a small fee. Also no spam- even with a US number.

Phone2's interface is user-friendly, and the features are solid. However, the app sometimes requires frequent logins, which can be inconvenient. Overall, it's a reliable service for business communication.

They took my money and never replied, no refund given. I still don’t understand how their product works and honestly don’t care. This company is a joke. Avoid wasting your money and time, go anywhere else, just not with this mess of a business.

I switched from MagicApp to Phone2 and it works much better

I switched from MagicApp to Phone2 and it works much better with messages from banks and other services that need a phone number for two factor verification. Calls are clear and good quality. The interface feels a bit strange to me because messages and calls are together in one list, I’m still getting used to it. Also, note that you cannot send SMS/MMS with your normal plan, you need to pay a yearly fee for 10DLC registration, which is something to keep in mind.

Worst Company & Service In A Long Time

The service itself isn't that great. I had poor performance in testing and some failures. I had a question about SMS service, which is an additional cost and registration... fine. I tried asking for a refund on the grounds that the service isn't that great, I feel policies and fees aren't clear and upfront, support is not up to par. I was met with a snarky response that a refund request is invalid because I "refuse to register the service for SMS functionality", which is not why I'm requesting a refund. Stay far, far away from this company.

I’ve had a really positive experience with Phone2. It has made managing our business tasks much easier. Making calls and sending texts from the browser using a shared number breaks down all the old data silos and helps the team work better together.

Unreliable service & will not honor own return policy

If you're thinking of using Phone2.IO, I urge you to stop here and reconsider. You probably already considered that there are so many options out there if you want a new phone line. And now consider the type of company this is: This phone line requires you to use their own app for it to work. Now, I test this app by having friends call me before I use it for business. The app's call receiving is unreliable - I'm missed test calls. The app's call notifications are unreliable - I've had missed calls that showed up but didn't ring. This is separate from calls I just didn't receive at all. And this is not even getting into the quality of the calls, or the SMS, because why would I use something this unreliable as a touch-point for my business? It doesn't make sense. The app is also feature-poor - I can't even set this line to ring differently from my main number. Suffice to say, I requested a refund. Their return policy says: 30-Day Refund Window You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase, provided: You did not use a free trial before purchasing. The refund request is not due to a refusal to complete TCR registration. I satisfy both of those, and yet they still won't give me a refund because they claim calls are going through. This service failed reliability tests that I conducted, so how do they know all calls are going through? They just know the calls *that they see* are going through. Not to mention, the mandatory app is terrible. They refuse to give me any other reason to deny my refund, falling back to the language that I in fact "can request" a refund although it'll be on a case by case basis. Well, if you use language like this, technically I "can request" a refund in any and all circumstances, not just "provided those 2 criteria are satisfied". This is just an excuse to hide behind the fine letter of their print and not having the spirit of having integrity and keeping happy customers. There are some things in life that, if you try it out, you'll get punished. Phone2.IO is one of them. They have many, many alternatives and competitors. You don't have to use Phone2.IO, and it's best for you if you don't. Google "phone2.io return reviews" if you want more information. P.S. I already know how Phone2.IO is going to respond. They'll claim to want to resolve this quickly. Well if they did, I wouldn't have had to write this public review - they've been absolutely non-cooperative. So, Phone2.IO, are you actually going to do what you claim to do in public, or do you act completely different behind the scenes?

    just don't

Avoid these people like the plague....misleading advertising....wanted to try them out for a month and thought I was paying $4, instead was an entire year and refused a refund. Oh, and fully functional SMS? That'll cost you an extra $1.50 per month, which they don't mention on their website

Caution: Misleading Refund Policy and Poor Customer Support

Phone2.io promotes a 30-day refund policy, stating: "Phone2 will issue a refund within 30 days of purchase. However, we may decline your request if we see any abuse or fraud-related activity in your account." I canceled the service the day after purchase because it didn’t meet my needs. To my surprise, they denied the refund—first claiming no such policy existed, and then, even after I sent them a copy from their own marketing material, still refusing the refund without justification. In my opinion, this appears to be a short-term operation focused on collecting one-time payments rather than building a sustainable business. I would advise others to proceed with caution.

    Very happy with Phone2 service

Like many, I used to rely on Skype and lived in Costa Rica, so I felt worried about finding a good alternative. To make it short, after seeing some good and bad reviews about Phone2, I reached out to their customer service to ask about the negative ones. I was nicely surprised by their honest explanation about a time when their growth was faster than their team and how they fixed those problems. This made me trust their service more. I'm not very tech-savvy, and I was glad to talk to a kind person who answered many questions patiently. My experience with Phone2’s connection has been great. It works better than Skype and costs less, making it a better choice.

They moved my Skype number just in time.

They sent me emails when I hadn’t completed my signup and told me clearly what to do next. I really like the app because it’s much simpler and better looking than the Skype app.

I’ve used Skype for 5 years calling the US from China. It always worked well and I liked that no VPN was needed. When Skype stoped working, I moved to Phone2. It works fine most times, but you do need a VPN here. I hope they can find a way to make it work without needing VPN.
