This was long time ago.
This company gave me an initial moving estimate of $950 with a delivery date 7 days after pick up. However, on the day of the move, after loading all my things into their truck, they decided to raise the price to $1550—an increase of over 50%! Why even provide an estimate? For that price, I could've gotten same-day delivery from a different company. Since my things were already loaded and I couldn’t find another company on such short notice, I had no choice but to sign the agreement.
The invoice was a mostly empty form with no details about the charges. They vaguely mentioned cubic feet, but they never even measured anything. After I gave my credit card information, I couldn't get in touch with anyone. Before paying, they were easy to reach, but after, all my calls went to voicemail and my messages were ignored. When I did get someone on the phone, the response was always, "We'll get this sorted and call you back," but no one ever called back.
The estimated delivery was July 5. That evening, a driver contacted me saying he'd be there at 7am the next morning. However, on July 6, I called dispatch to check on the delivery, and they told me it would be the next day, July 7. On July 7, they changed it again to July 8 at 7am. The delivery didn’t show up until the afternoon of July 8. Why does this company lie so much?
To make matters worse, we unpacked a glass tabletop that was completely shattered, even though it was packed carefully. Since my calls are never returned, I have no way to address this issue with them.
