This month was my first time traveling abroad

This month was my first time traveling abroad for more than just a weekend resort trip, and I am so grateful for the warm support I got, not only from Amanda and JD, but from the whole community that Amanda has built at Moksha. I always knew there was someone I could turn to for advice, and a network of knowledgable people ready to back me up even when I didn't ask the right questions. I joined for one month with a group where many had been there for much longer, but I was welcomed in even though the group was already pretty close. JD’s enthusiasm made me love Peru even more, and his restaurant suggestions were always spot on! My time with Remote Year, although short by most standards, has been an unforgettable and life-changing experience!

Lisbon is such a wonderful city!

Lisbon is such a wonderful city! Full of life, unique, and there's something for everyone. Our City Guide, Viv, was amazing! It felt like having a buddy in a city you’ve just arrived at. She gave great food tips (which is tough in a place as YUMMY as Lisbon). She was always on time and ready for an adventure - whether it was a DJ party on the beach or a walk in the forest when fireflies were out. Viv is kind and full of energy, and my time in Lisbon would have been totally different without her. Remote Year is a good choice for those looking for longterm plans without dealing with all the details.

I adored this program! Maria and Marina

I adored this program! Maria and Marina were so nice and helpful. From the start, Molly and the whole team made sure I felt comfy traveling alone as a woman to a new country. The activities were fun and inclusive. The office and apartment they gave were more than enough and they thought of everything. Everyone I met had the same goal - Discovery!!! So many folks with their own stories and cultures. It was very special and I know I made some friends for life. I suggest this program to anyone wanting to explore but may want a community to do so with.

Exceptional Hosts in an Enchanting City

Lisbon proved to be an absolute gem, and our experience was elevated by the outstanding care of Pedro and Viviana, our dedicated city managers. They went above and beyond, providing constant support, offering fantastic recommendations, and truly embodying the spirit of exceptional hosts. The city's beauty was complemented by the delightful camaraderie among fellow remote participants. Without a doubt, Lisbon, with its incredible hosts and captivating atmosphere, comes highly recommended for a memorable experience.

Wow! I can't really describe how

Wow! I can't really describe how much my time with the 4 months in Africa trip (Kwame) changed me. It was like, seriously, mind-blowing! For 4.5 months, I was with these awesome RY folks, and it was just... wow. My community leader, Eunice, she was amazing, you know? She made me feel like I belonged. This trip is great for anyone who's open-minded, likes learning, and can go with the flow. Marrakech, Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, and Cape Town were all way better than I thought they'd be. Big thanks to the RY team!

My initial encounter with RY was

My initial encounter with RY was quite enjoyable. Almost everything about it was great. The apartment in Buenos Aires stood out, which is often a common gripe in reviews, but I have zero complaints. The workspace and neighborhood were good, the side activities were enjoyable, and our country leader, Ignacio, was fantastic. Buenos Aires is a fantastic city, and RY provided a great way to experience it. I would have liked to extend my stay.

My 4-month trip through South Africa and Europe was truly amazing. The destinations were beautiful, and our guide, Florencia, worked hard to create a supportive and caring group. I can't picture this trip without her guidance, as the group really influenced our daily lives and excursions. Exploring these wonderful places with local insights and a great group of people was a real honor and a memory I'll always cherish.
