My experience with Paw Rade was quite frustrating

My experience with Paw Rade was quite frustrating. One of the most frustrating aspects was the inconsistency in communication. Every time I called, I spoke to a different person, and it felt like they weren't on the same page, despite having notes on my case. The small details we discussed in previous conversations were often not recorded in the notes, leading to repeated discussions. For instance, I was initially told that the puppy I was interested in was doggie door trained, which I assumed meant it was potty trained. However, when we got the puppy, we realized she was not potty trained, which was challenging. The puppy had lived on a farm, and the transition to our home was not as smooth as we expected. Despite the frustration, the silver lining is that we have a beautiful puppy, and we're delighted to have her as part of our family. However, the overall process through Paw Rade was lengthy and could be significantly improved.

PAWRADE PETPAY IS A SCAM

PAWRADE IS A PUPPY MILL SCAM! What a JOKE of a company! I have bought multiple puppies over the years and have a dog currently, I am not new to dogs by any means. Long story short the communication by pawrade/petpay was terrible. I wasnt able to actually talk to the breeder. The dog was listed as available to go home as of Nov 1 so when i purchased the dog I thought it would be available right away, not so much. The dog couldnt be delivered until Dec 1 and they didnt tell me until after purchasing. The dog was also $4,000 for a belgian malinois which is over DOUBLE what any other reputable breeder charges, that should have been the first red flag but the puppy looked so cute I looked past it. That is only where the problems began. The puppy was supposed to be picked on Nov 28 and was not picked up until Nov 30, of course no one called me to tell me this. Anyway the puppy FINALLY arrives Dec 1 at 9am and my fiancee and I are both so excited! We feed the puppy a full meal, take it outside to play and potty then come back inside to rest and we give it a couple treats. Once the puppy finished one of the treats we go to take the remains away and she snarled and aggressively bit my fiancees's hand to the point of drawing blood and needing stitches! After this I think well maybe it was just a puppy miscommunication, these things happen. Not so fast, I scold the dog saying "NO biting" and go to pick her up to put her in the crate and she then bites me really hard to the point of drawing blood. It was at this point I started thinking something was very wrong and this dog must have been bred by a puppy mill or possibly horribly mistreated by the breeder who knows. I waited 15-20min for the puppy to relax and tried to pick the puppy up again and it again arched its back, snarled, showed its teeth and bit me HARD again!! Drawing blood AGAIN! This is all in just about an hour of having this puppy so I message the breeder at 10am that their puppy has bitten both of us and she said its not her problem and to contact pawrade. (What a thoughtful caring breeder right?) So I contact pawrade and I tell them I want to return the puppy because clearly something is wrong. Ive had many puppies over the years and NEVER had a puppy bite so hard and show such aggression for no reason. Pawrade sends the driver to pick up the puppy and proceeds to tell us that it is somehow our fault that the puppy has bitten both of us to the point of drawing blood, its our fault she snarls and shows her teeth etc and refuses to give even a partial refund. So now between the $4k pet fee, tax and shipping two ways im down $6k with multiple dog bites and stitches to show for it. PAWRADE / PETPAY is a JOKE of a company and I will NEVER ever forget how poorly they treated us. BEWARE

"Health Guarantee" is a bait and switch.

Here’s the story—mostly bad. I’ve been wanting a puppy for years, and at 34, I finally have the space and money. My family always had Boxers growing up, so I decided to stick with the tradition. The customer service was great at first—quick responses, friendly, everything you'd expect when spending thousands on a dog. I had the puppy shipped to California, and everything seemed worth the hefty price tag. But here’s the problem. Not even a year later, my puppy, Benny, started losing weight, vomiting, and acting lethargic. After spending thousands on tests, two vets diagnosed him with Copper Storage Disease, a serious liver condition. The treatment? Seven medications, specialized food costing $200 a month, and endless vet bills. Over 10 years, this will total over $34,000. Thank God for insurance, or it would’ve been worse. Now, the real nightmare—Pawrade’s so-called "Health Guarantee." When I reached out for help, they denied my claim because Benny wasn’t “sick enough.” They argued his condition doesn’t qualify, even though without treatment, he’d be dead in months. Their “guarantee” is a scam. According to them, a dog on death’s door isn’t “sick enough” to warrant coverage. Pawrade’s response is insulting. They want me to believe that a dog close to dying isn’t “sick enough” for their guarantee. Their greed, lies, and complete disregard for Benny’s health are infuriating. I’m lucky I can afford the treatments, but many won’t be, and they’ll be forced to watch their dogs suffer or be put down, while Pawrade rakes in the money. I should’ve trusted my instincts. Pawrade might seem great at first, but when things go wrong, they’re just another money-grabbing insurance company. I’ll never do business with them again, and I hope no one else has to go through what I’ve endured.

After losing my dear dog,

After losing my dear dog, I never thought I’d be ready for another so soon. But then I found Pawrade. Their no puppy mill pledge was a big deal for me since I’ve always rescued pets before. This was my first time actually paying for a dog. From the get-go, the team at Pawrade was in touch constantly, both on the phone and through messages, and they were super helpful and quick to respond. The transport was awesome too—I could track Bella’s journey with this live-tracking thing. Andrew and Garrett from Wags on Wheels kept me updated with texts the whole way. They were amazing. I’d recommend Pawrade to anyone considering getting a dog and feeling unsure about it.

We had reserved our puppy

We had reserved our puppy weeks in advance and were so excited to pick him up. We drove over 20 hours, only to get a call when we were just 2 hours away—our pup was sick with a respiratory infection and needed a week of antibiotics. We were crushed since we couldn’t stay that long. But Kelly from Pawrade really came through. She found us another puppy, same breed, sex, and color, just two days older, and only an hour away from our original spot. It was hard letting go of our first choice, but our new little guy is perfect. Pawrade was super professional, ensuring we didn't take home a sick puppy and making everything right.

I recently had the pleasure

I recently had the pleasure of bringing Grover into our family, and the whole experience was fantastic. The team was super responsive and answered all my questions quickly. The transportation crew was great too, keeping me updated about Grover during the entire trip. When he finally arrived, he looked healthy and happy. Grover fits right in with our family; he loves to play and has such a joyful spirit. It's like he's been with us forever. We absolutely adore him, and it seems like he loves us just as much. It's been a heartwarming addition to our home.

So, I decided to try

So, I decided to try Pawrade for the first time, and honestly, it was a bit nerve-wracking. But their team was fantastic, always updating me on what was happening and what I needed to do. When my Australian tri-color Shepherd finally arrived, she was even more beautiful than I imagined. Handed her over to my husband, and they ended up spending the entire night together on the kitchen floor. It was kind of adorable. The whole process, while a bit scary at first, turned out to be really smooth. Definitely would go through Pawrade again for another pup.

Found my new puppy through

Found my new puppy through Pawrade after a friend from Pethomesonline.com suggested it. We couldn't settle on a price there, but Pawrade's selection blew me away. Puppies galore and way cheaper than local options. The whole process was smooth, with timely updates and clear communication. And guess what? My puppy's perfect. Just what I wanted in a little buddy.

Picked out a cute miniature

Picked out a cute miniature Dachshund from a website and drove all the way from Maryland to Missouri to get him. We were so happy to bring him home, but things took a turn. Our vet found a severe ear infection and said he had tartar on his teeth, which shouldn’t be on an 18-week-old puppy. Turns out, our "puppy" was actually between 18 months and 3 years old! Getting health records was a nightmare. The breeder and their vet refused to provide them. We had to redo all his shots just to board him. My poor pup was not potty trained or socialized. Thankfully, my daughter’s Dachshund helped him learn to be a dog. We ended up getting another puppy from PuppySpot—what a difference! Healthy, well-documented, and exactly as described. Never going back to that first place.
