Orkin did a decent job with pest control

Orkin did a decent job with pest control, but the prices kept going up. The last increase was 25% without any warning. They also wouldn't cancel the service until they got my payment, so I had to call again to cancel.

These idiots wasted my time

These idiots wasted my time for over 20 minutes setting up an account (because they wouldn't give any info without an account) even for a new service request. Then the inspection would take a couple of weeks, and then a couple of weeks after that would be the treatment. It'd be faster if I were to individually pick up the bugs and dispose of them myself. Sad part is that I told them all of this BEFORE setting up the account and they said it can all be done in the same day! What a waste of time!

I had Orkin visit my house on March 13th after seeing a mouse inside. When the technician came, he made me very worried by saying I had a big mouse problem and suggesting I take out all the insulation in my attic and put in new insulation from them. He showed me what he said were mouse trails in the insulation and claimed there were lots of them. The price for this was over $10,000. My wife didn’t feel right about this, so we decided to ask someone else. Orkin charged me $270 for the visit, but all they did was put out four poison traps. The second expert I called was very honest—he walked around the whole house with me and explained that the "tracks" were just marks from electrical wires, not from mice. In the end, there was no mouse problem at all. I have had traps out for more than two weeks, and the house has been empty for a week with no mouse signs. The traps haven’t been touched. It looks like the poison Orkin used might have killed the one mouse that was there, but I can’t find it, and now my house has a horrible smeel. I called Orkin to complain, and they said a manager would call me that day, but it has been three days, and I still have no answer. I want my money back. Orkin was not honest and tried to sell me things I didn’t need. After I said no to the $10,000 price for insulation, the technician called me three times, and on the last call, he said he could do it for just over $9,000. This felt like a trick. I really think people should stay away from Orkin. They are not trustworty, and I feel like they took advantage of me.

Terrible experience - when I called first, they said they'd inspect the entire house, find problem spots, and give a full review. None of this happened; the worker they sent said he had a sore back and couldn't check some areas. He did a fast and sloppy job (white dust all over our floors) and left. They charged me around $500. I've been trying to get a refund for 3 weeks with no response. This is a large company with no care for customer service. Steer clear!

Orkin took over a year ago, and things have changed. They sent two guys who seemed a bit rough, spent 5 mins, and now they want $300 for once-a-year inspection. I can't suggest them.

They are the most unreliable company

They are the most unreliable company for pest control services and do a really bad job. Be careful about entering into any agreement with them.
