Exploring navigation charts, especially
Exploring navigation charts, especially those from the mid-1800s, captivates me. During my visit to the Chatham shop, I stumbled upon charts depicting the Louisiana Gulf Coast from that era. Recently, I acquired a chart illustrating the approaches to a Gulf Coast river and bay I've frequented for 45 years. The chart of the river's approaches resonates deeply, imagining my great-great uncles relying on similar charts for their trading schooners in the past. The company's historical navigation charts evoke a nostalgic connection to the maritime heritage of cherished locations.
