    The Lumber Yard has been a great help to our

    The Lumber Yard has been a great help to our family on three occasions. First, they cut some new half-inch-thick boards to replace old, thinner ones for the base of a waterbed. Next, we brought in two secondhand bookshelves — one for vinyl albums and the other for CDs. Both were missing shelves, so they cut replacements for each, and they were ready for use again with proper storage. The team at Lumber Yard did excellent, precise work — another reason we chose this local, family-run shop for such work, as it offers the most personal, attentive service. Also, it was always nice to see their friendly dog, Penny, whenever we stopped by.

    My grandfather, a cabinet maker, passed away 60

    My grandfather, a cabinet maker, passed away 60 years ago when I was just 10. The scent of this amazing shop brings back memories of my childhood, playing around in his workshop. I remember carving toy airplane propellers and being amazed by a machine that could drill square holes, as well as a huge stone wheel that sharpened blades! The staff at Th' Lumberyard are some of the kindest people you'll meet.

    I bought a rustic cedar slab for a mantle

    I bought a rustic cedar slab for a mantle, an antique cabinet door, and now steps for a spiral staircase from this place. The cabinet door matched the older ones very well. They’re helping me with the steps as I make changes and tweak things along the way. Awesome team, very nice... couldn’t ask for more.
