Got hit with the flu right

Got hit with the flu right before a concert, talk about bad timing. Opted for urgent care instead of the hospital, but ended up seeing a PA instead of a doctor. Partner stayed home, sick in bed. Sent in the urgent care statement to FanShield, thinking it's all good, but nope – they wanted a doctor's signature. Now, here's the kicker – getting that signature would cost more than the darn tickets! Lesson learned: the insurance isn't worth the hassle, especially when it ends up costing more than the event itself.

This company is not worth your time or money.

This company is not worth your time or money. I got their service for a ski trip to Wyoming, thinking it would protect my family. But when high winds and bad travel conditions came, we decided to stay safe and avoid risky roads. Guess what? They said no refund because the area wasn’t in a "state of emegency." I made the smart choice for my family, but they don’t care one bit. I will never trust them again, and I warn others to avoid this scam. Such a waste of money and a huge letdown.

FanShield did not pay out my claim.

FanShield Review  FanShield would not honour my claim as it wasn’t one of their “official reasons” for paying out. My situation was a deeply hurtful family situation but that didn’t matter to them.   Also, it took FanShield two full weeks to contact me. (I did speak to a frontline customer service woman, twice, and bless her soul…she has a difficult job.)   Save your money or look for somebody else. There is a reason why FanShield has such dismal reviews.

void this company at all costs.

Avoid this company at all costs. My partner and I bought a vacation package with their van shield insurance. Sadly, we lost our home and belongings in a tragic storm. We won't be going to Key West as planned, so we reached out to the company. They denied our request for a refund and asked for tons of documents, even a police report. It feels like they're trying to make us give up on getting our money back. They are cold-hearted. What a disgrace!

This company's conduct is far from stellar. The road conditions are horrendous and only seem to be worsening. Despite providing all the requested documents, they persist in asking for more, reaching a point where it becomes impossible to comply. If I had known about these challenges, I would have saved my money and skipped the insurance altogether. I strongly caution others to do the same and steer clear of this insurance scam.

    Don't waste the money

Fanshield claims to protech you for multiple reasons if you can't make your event. They will then find reasons its "not covered" so they don't have to refund you. You have proof, think you've submitted exactly what was needed and they respond its not "urgent enough" or documentation provided won't work even though it has exactly what they stated it needed. They just want to give you the run around I guess till you give up.

Be cautious before making a similar purchase.

I purchased this coverage believing it would protect against rain and various accidents, but when it rained, I filed a claim. To my disappointment, they denied my refund. Strangely, my friends, who hadn't purchased this coverage, contacted the park directly and were able to obtain a full refund. This experience left me dissatisfied and questioning the value of this service. Be cautious before making a similar purchase.

    So, I snagged NASCAR

So, I snagged NASCAR tickets as a Christmas gift for my significant other, but life happened, and we couldn't make it. Tried getting a refund for his ticket, and boom – they hit me with this bizarre rule, saying they only refund family members' tickets. Like, seriously? It's not like he bought 'em; I did! Feels like Macy's saying you can only return gifts from family. Absolute madness.

    FANSHIELD IS A SCAM!

SCAM! Only pays in "specific" situations, as if life is that predictable! We had to move my son and daughter in law (who live three hours from us) within two days of closing on their house, which fell during the timeframe of the tickets I bought this insurance for. I was denied even though the realtor supplied a letter stating the situation. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

Unreliable. I had issues with my vehicle just days before a race. I couldn’t take it to the garage until later. They requested I mention on the invoice when the problems started. I got it in writing and saved the original email asking for what I provided, but then they said it wasn't enough. I’ve contacted my bank to dispute the charge since everything was documented.

    Don't waste the money

There are thousands of reviews from people Fanshield found a reason to not refund. Don't waste your money. Any positive review is a lie. There is a 100% chance they will run you around nit-picking reasons why your refund isn't covered even after stating several reasons for qualifying for a refund. I hope everyone else reads the reviews first before wasting money.

Similar to what others have said, getting a claim accepted is nearly impossible. That’s okay though, since we used a credit card and plan to dispute the charges to get my money back. Overall, I suggest everyone carefully read the terms and conditions. It would help if FanShield clearly explained what the insurance covers and what it definitly doesn’t.

    Fanshield is an absolute scam

Fanshield is an absolute scam! I purchased insurance for my $300 tickets, specifically for potential closure due to bad weather. Six Flags did, in fact, close due to inclement weather, but Fanshield denied my refund, claiming we weren't physically at the park when it closed halfway through the day. This is a blatant rip-off and a waste of money.

Please don’t spend your cash on fanshield. They always come up with reasons to avoid giving you a refund and you end up losing even more money. This company is a ripoff and only interested in taking money from people who are going through tough times and had an unlucky event that should be "covered," but they’ll say it’s not important enough.

Two mystery charges for insurance I never signed up for popped up on my credit card. Shot fanshield an email, and they assured me the charges were voided with a refund in the works. But guess what? Those sneaky charges are still hanging out on my credit card. Not cool, not cool at all. Hoping they fix this mess ASAP.

    It’s comforting

I recently had to get a refund for some tickets I couldn't use because of health problems, and Fanshield Insurance Company was amazing. They not only got me my money back quickly but also helped me with another issue I had, even though it wasn't part of the claim. The team was genuinely concerned and went out of their way to assist me. They aren’t like those other companies that just don’t care. Their support really meant a lot, and I’m super thankful. I’ll definitely use their services again if I need to. It’s comforting to know there's a company that actually gets how unpredictable life can be and is there to help when things go wrong.

The person I communicated with was super helpful and respectful, which made the whole thing way less stressful. It felt like they genuinely cared about my problem, and that’s not something you find everywhere. If you ever need this kind of service, I'd definitely recommend giving Fan Shield a try. I bought Phillies tickets for

I bought Phillies tickets for August and got a protection plan just in case. Turns out, I’ve got my Navy Reserves Annual Training then, so I tried getting a refund from FanShield. I couldn't provide documentation because military orders are sensitive, but they wouldn’t refund me without it. It's frustrating, because I feel like I got scammed out of my money. I get that they have policies, but it seems unfair. On the bright side, their email response was really fast, so there's that. Still, companies should be more understanding in unique situations like this. I hope they consider improving their policies for military folks in the future.

    Don't trust this company

I remember when my daughter and her boyfriend decided to snag some tickets for a getaway, and they even got that insurance, thinking it’d cover them if work got in the way. They were pretty clear on that part, you know? But then, her boyfriend's work schedule shifted after they bought the tickets, and guess what? Because it wasn’t a travel-related work issue, they got denied the refund. Seriously, it felt like a slap in the face. Why even bother with that insurance if they’re not gonna honor it? It's frustrating to see them lose money like that. I’d definitely think twice before trusting this company with my hard-earned cash.

    I decided to give this

I decided to give this service a shot, and things got weird. They refunded part of my money, but not all, and when I asked why, no one got back to me. Weird, right? Then, on the same day, I had another request, same event, and they said it didn’t qualify. How does that even make sense? It’s not a total scam, but there’s definitely something off. Honestly, I’d say keep your money and look elsewhere. This experience was just confusing and left me feeling a bit frustrated. They need to step up their game and be more transparent.

    We bought tickets to see

We bought tickets to see our friend's band in Toronto, which is about 100 km away from us. The weather had been awful all week, with Environment Canada issuing advisories, and on the day of the event, they warned about hazardous road conditions. So, we decided to stay home for safety. I had bought ticket insurance, expecting it would cover situations like this. But when I tried to claim a refund, they made me jump through endless hoops. They asked for documentation, road closure proof, and other impossible-to-get details. Their "unexpected weather" clause seems like a joke. Honestly, don’t waste your money on their insurance. If you can't make it, sell your tickets or give them away. This company will find any excuse not to refund you. Lesson learned, read reviews first and be cautious.

    I was planning a fun

I was planning a fun day at Six Flags with my kiddos and bought tickets online. Noticed this purchase protection thing from FanShield and thought, "Hey, why not?" Just in case something goes sideways. But, whoops! I accidentally booked for today instead of tomorrow. Tried contacting Six Flags, they told me to deal with FanShield. Called them, and they asked me to email support. When I tried to submit a claim, turns out they only refund for really serious stuff, like weather disasters or, you know, death. I picked scheduling conflict, got denied real quick. Emailed them, explaining I'm a single mom just trying to give my kids a good time. Feels like they're just looking to make a quick buck off people like me. Not cool.

    Went to the Ohio Renaissance

Went to the Ohio Renaissance Fair, but had to cancel last minute due to a work emergency on the West Coast. Thought the ticket insurance would help, but boy was I wrong. I provided my flight receipts and even a letter from my CEO, yet they kept badgering me with more questions about my job. I felt like I was being interrogated! Their refund process is a nightmare. They wanted all sorts of documentation for every possible reason. Sick? Get a doctor's note. Car trouble? Show the repair bill. It felt like they were trying to wear me down so I’d give up. Got my refund, but the whole experience left a bad taste. Not worth the hassle. D- for the process, could be an F for their deceptive practices. Never again.

    I got event insurance thinking

I got event insurance thinking it'd save me stress if things went south. But when my car’s alternator blew just over a day before the event, I was stuck. I fix my car myself since no shop around will touch it, and I was ready to show them the receipt for the alternator or any other proof they wanted. Still, they shot down my claim, saying I lacked the “proper documentation.” No matter how much I explained, they wouldn’t budge. It’s like they’ve set it all up to just grab your cash and run. Seriously, steer clear of Fanshield. If you’re hoping they’ll have your back in a crisis, forget it—they’ll just wriggle out of it. It’s frustrating how companies pretend to help but only look out for themselves.

This company was a real headache

You know, dealing with this company was a real headache. I shelled out good money thinking I'd have some peace of mind, but turns out, their protection terms and refund process are just a mess. It's really unclear what you're actually getting and when I tried to get my money back for tickets and meal plans, it was a nightmare. I mean, I spent almost half my paycheck on this, expecting some kind of security, but instead, it feels like they're just holding onto my money. It's frustrating to see a business more focused on keeping cash than on helping their customers. Honestly, if you're considering using them, I'd think twice. There are better options out there that actually care about their clients.

I tried using FanShield for event insurance, and honestly, it was a headache. I bought their coverage when signing up for a race. Unfortunately, I got injured and needed a minor surgery. I was determined to still participate, but my recovery took longer than expected. Withdrawing was my only option, so I reached out to FanShield for a refund. I thought it'd be straightforward since my situation fit their criteria, but nope, they denied my claim. When I appealed, they asked for an absurd amount of paperwork. It would’ve taken forever to gather it all, and for what? Just $80? Honestly, it wasn't worth my time. If you're thinking about using FanShield, think twice. It’s not worth the hassle.

    I can't believe how terrible

I can't believe how terrible this FanShield insurance turned out to be. I got my daughter a ticket for a half marathon in San Diego and thought it would be smart to get the $15 insurance, just in case. Well, her track coach said she couldn’t run because she had other team commitments. I thought, no worries, it's insured. The ticket cost me $175. But when I asked FanShield for a refund, they denied me because I didn’t have documentation proving she couldn’t go! Her coach said she couldn't attend, how am I supposed to document that? So, I wasted $15 on this useless insurance. FanShield is a total scam. Their customer service is rude and unhelpful. Avoid FanShield; it’s a waste of money!
