    I made a mistake by

I made a mistake by not researching the company before buying extra protection for my concert tickets, which promised coverage for illnesses. My partner and I caught the flu, with all the nasty symptoms, and couldn't make it to a concert two hours away. So, I thought getting a refund would be straightforward. Nope! They told us we needed a doctor's note proving we were too sick to attend. Seriously? Who's going to the ER on a weekend just for that? It wasn't mentioned when I bought it. This company's a joke. Avoid their extra insurance at all costs. They make you jump through hoops, and you’ll probably spend more proving your illness than on the tickets themselves. What a hassle!

    I had a frustrating experience

I had a frustrating experience with this organization. They're not really helping the healthcare system like they should. A lot of talk nowadays is about reducing paperwork for doctors so they can spend more time with patients, but this place just doesn't get it. It’s so disappointing to see them add more to the already heavy workload of physicians with unnecessary sick notes and forms. Many governments and other organizations are trying hard to solve this problem, but this company seems out of touch. For the sake of our doctors who should be focusing on patient care, I would recommend steering clear of this organization. It's just adding more stress to healthcare professionals.

    We thought we were set

We thought we were set for a fun weekend at Six Flags in San Antonio for my sister’s 19th birthday, but things went downhill fast. We bought tickets ahead of time, even got the insurance, thinking we were covered. But, it rained non-stop, and there was a flood watch in effect. We didn’t feel safe going on the rides, but when we tried to get a refund, it was a nightmare. They asked for official weather warnings from the government, which was just ridiculous. It’s frustrating how quick they are to take your money but drag their feet on refunds. We’re still waiting and it’s been days. This experience left us so disappointed and definitely wary of buying tickets in advance again.

    Mess of an experience

Man, let me tell you about this mess of an experience. Back in September 2024, I missed an event five hours away due to traffic jams. I thought a traffic report would be enough, but they insisted on some mystery document that I can't figure out. I sent them all sorts of papers already! Then, just recently, I couldn't make it to a baseball game because work called me in late. I'm a federal employee, so I sent them the work notice and the purchase receipt. Seats weren't used or scanned, but they keep asking for more proof. We shelled out over $1700 and had insurance, but it's been endless emails with no real help. This business is just a nightmare, needs serious looking into.

    I tried using FanShield for

I tried using FanShield for a refund on my S.F. Giants tickets, and it was a mess. A friend in our group got really sick and couldn't go, so I followed all the steps for a refund. They gave me a case number and promised someone would reach out in three days. Well, days went by, and nothing. Tried calling, but kept getting their automated system. Emailed again, got a different case number, and the same promise. Still no response. They even said I could cancel my protection, but when I tried, they said it was expired, even though the game hadn't happened yet. Luckily, the Giants were awesome and gave me a refund directly. Seems others had the same issue with FanShield, too.

Avoid using FanShield at all costs

I bought tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain a week ago, but had to cancel last minute because of high winds and wildfires in the area. The National Weather Service issued a warning for potential evacuations, so I sent FanShield proof of this to get a refund. Despite the clear danger, they said my evidence wasn't good enough. I mean, who would risk going to a theme park during such a threat? It’s absurd. I couldn't believe how dismissive they were about the whole thing. It's like they only care about pocketing your money rather than keeping people safe. Honestly, what's the point of insurance if they won't help in situations like this? Avoid using FanShield at all costs.

I thought this insurance was gonna be reliable, but turns out it wasn't. After my family dealt with a big surgery, we sent all the necessary documents and explained our situation in detail, hoping for some support. But guess what? They denied our refund request because we supposedly missed the "90 day timeframe." It’s almost like they forgot that recovery isn't the same for everyone, right? Some people face complications and setbacks. Now, not only are we missing out on seeing our favorite band in concert, but we're also stuck dealing with this frustrating process. It's honestly disappointing and leaves a bad taste in the mouth about how they handle things.

    I bought some ticket protection

I bought some ticket protection from Fanshield since the weather was acting up. Sadly, one of our group, a kid, got sick and couldn’t make it. I sent Fanshield a screenshot of a text from the parent explaining the situation, thinking it would be enough. But they insisted on medical records to approve the claim. This wasn’t what I expected based on their ads, which seemed pretty straightforward. It’s super frustrating to feel misled like this. You think you're covered, but then there’s all these hoops to jump through. Not cool, especially when you're dealing with a kid's health situation. Next time, I’ll be more cautious about these kinds of "protections.

My friend woke up with a horrible migraine, and she’s dealt with these for years. She knows the drill: rest, hydrate, take meds, and ride it out. There’s not much else she can do. I tried to get a refund from the company, but they insisted on a doctor’s note proving she went to the doctor today. Seriously? She already knows how to handle her migraines; going to the neurologist every single time is just not practical. She'd be there 4-5 times a month, wasting time and money. Plus, she lives an hour and a half away from the stadium. Driving with a migraine is not safe. FanShield denied my refund request because she didn't see the doctor. So frustrating.

I decided to take my family to Six Flags, thinking we'd have an awesome day despite the gloomy forecast. The ticket policy gave me the impression we'd be fine if the weather turned bad. But guess what? When storms and lightning rolled in, the park had to shut down. I thought the policy would cover this, but turns out it only kicks in if you can't physically get there. I mean, storms in Illinois during summer aren't exactly rare! Felt like the policy was pretty misleading. It's frustrating when things aren't clearly laid out, especially when you're trying to plan a fun day with the fam. Just wish the policy was clearer about what it actually covers.

    You won’t believe the hassle

You won’t believe the hassle I’m going through just to get a refund for a cabana rental at Dorney Park. Scheduled for last Saturday, we couldn't make it because my partner had to be hospitalized. Now, here’s the kicker—they’re asking for proof of the hospital visit to process the refund. Isn’t that crossing some privacy line, like the HIPAA Law or something? I mean, I get they need to verify, but isn’t there a simpler way to handle these situations? It’s frustrating to think about how complicated it’s become just to get your money back when circumstances are out of your control. Just hoping for a bit more understanding and less red tape next time.

    Bought event ticket insurance thinking

Bought event ticket insurance thinking I'd be covered if bad weather hit. They advertised "100% refund" for such situations, seemed like a good deal. When bad weather did strike, the event was canceled for safety, I thought I was set. But getting the refund was a nightmare. They asked for tons of documentation, and when I provided it, they claimed my refund was void because the event was canceled. Isn't that exactly what the insurance was for? Nowhere on their site did it say anything about not getting refunds for event cancellations. Feels like a loophole to avoid paying up. I can't be the only one who got caught in this mess. What a scam.

    Real headache

Man, dealing with Fanshield was a real headache. I thought I was covered for any unexpected events, but when I needed a refund, they just wouldn't budge. They seemed to have a knack for finding loopholes to avoid giving me my money back. It's like they’re set up to make you jump through hoops and then tell you, “Oh, sorry, that’s not urgent enough.” Felt more like a game of dodge than customer service. If you're thinking about going with them, I’d seriously reconsider. It feels like they’re more interested in holding onto your cash than actually helping out when things go wrong. It’s tough enough out there without this kind of hassle.

Let me tell you about my experience with this ticket insurance company. We thought we were making a smart choice, paying a little extra for some peace of mind. Weather got bad, roads were dangerous, and we decided not to risk it. Turns out, the insurance only kicks in if the road’s officially closed. Can you believe that? It’s like they’re living in a different world. We felt like they were more interested in finding reasons not to help us than actually providing any real protection. If you're considering buying their insurance, seriously, just save your money. It’s not worth the headache or the hassle when you actually need support.

Absolutely terrible experience. I booked a trip but had to cancel due to serious health complications with my pregnancy. My doctor even provided a note, but they refused to give me a refund. I can’t believe how heartless their customer service is. They don’t show any compassion or understanding. Now I'm stuck, unwell, pregnant, and $1,500 out of pocket. It feels like they're just out to scam people for money. It’s beyond frustrating and disappointing. I expected at least a bit of empathy, but instead, I’m left with nothing but stress and financial loss. Avoid this company at all costs if you value decent treatment and fair policies.

    Frustrating experience

I recently had a frustrating experience with FanShield that left me feeling ripped off. I paid for event tickets and parking, thinking I was covered in case of an emergency. But when I needed to use their service, they kept demanding more "additional documentation" and then decided my situation didn’t qualify. It's like they think they’re doctors or something, deciding what counts as a serious illness. I mean, come on, where are your medical degrees, FanShield? The whole thing felt like a total scam. I’d give them negative stars if I could. It's just not right to play with people’s money and trust like this. Avoid them if you can!

    I gotta tell you about

I gotta tell you about this experience I had with a company at a theme park. You know, it was one of those days where the rain just wouldn’t stop, and I was thinking, "Well, surely they'll understand." But nope, they wanted us to prove it was raining and that rides were shut down. Like, seriously? Who carries around evidence of the weather? It was so frustrating. Thankfully, Cedar Point came through and refunded us, showing there are still decent companies out there. But this other company? Wow, just wow. Wouldn't want to deal with them again if I could help it. Feels like they just don’t care about their customers at all.

    Scam

Okay, so let me tell you about this whole mess with a refund we’re dealing with. My partner got this protection plan for a trip, because, you know, we've had car trouble before. Well, he came down with something bad on the day of the trip and couldn't go. It’s been three weeks now, and we’re still chasing a refund. They keep dodging and saying no doctor’s note, no refund. I mean, seriously? Not everyone runs to the doctor for every sniffle! I've worked in fraud prevention, and this company’s starting to look pretty sketchy. It’s like they’re making up rules to keep your money. Frustrating and feels like a scam, honestly.

FanShield is a total waste of money. Don’t bother buying their insurance because they won’t give you your money back or replace your tickets. Two of us got COVID and the other two had to quarantine, so we couldn’t go to the event. We sent them proof of our ticket purchase and parking pass for Six Flags in Jackson, NJ. They refused to refund us or let us reschedule. That’s a lot of money down the drain. Six Flags is terrible too for using them. Honestly, places like Hershey Park, Storybook Land, Dutch Wonderland, and Dorney Park are way better. I really hope people start going there instead of dealing with these ripoffs.

So, let me tell you about this crazy experience I had with FanShield. I was all set to take my family to Schlitterbahn Water Park, but then some serious flooding hit the area. I mean, it was bad—like, people missing and everything. Naturally, I thought it was best to cancel the trip. But when I reached out to FanShield for a refund, they just wouldn't budge. They told me I hadn't canceled early enough or something, even though the trip hadn’t even happened yet. Seriously, who would risk going to a flood zone with their family? Really frustrating experience

I had a really frustrating experience with this insurance company. Imagine giving them all the right details and they still managed to send my funds to the wrong Venmo account. You'd think there'd be someone to talk to, right? Nope. All I got was this irritating recording that was about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. Want to get in touch with them? Good luck with that. The only option is emailing them, and waiting for three whole days for a reply. It’s like they don’t want to fix anything. Honestly, if you're considering this insurance, maybe think twice. Save yourself the headache, trust me.

We bought tickets for the California Winter Fest and added a protection plan due to unpredictable weather. When we got to the park, the weather was terrible. People were running away, most of the rides were shut down, and the show was canceled. We didn’t use our tickets at all. We tried to get a refund through the protection plan, but they denied us. I recently tried to get a ticket refund because my friend's kid had a medical emergency and couldn't make it to the spring training game in Phoenix. I thought it would be straightforward, but Fanshield asked for a note from the family doctor. I even sent them the HIPAA policy to explain why I couldn't provide that, but they still wouldn't budge. It’s ridiculous to ask for a doctor's note just to get a refund for a baseball game ticket. I feel like they’re making this way harder than it needs to be. I submitted all the paperwork from my doctor, using the exact form that Fanshield recommends. I had an emergency surgery, so my family and I couldn't make it to the event we insured. Today, they told me we aren't covered, just saying they "could not verify documentation." No further explanation. They didn't even give me a chance to submit more proof. It's really frustrating. Took a chance on one of those event insurance add-ons for the first time, thinking it might be a smart move for a $140 triathlon I was worried about missing. Cost me just $11, so I thought, why not? Fast forward to today, I needed to check if I could actually get a refund. Turns out, after digging through the policy, it’s like nothing is really covered. And even if it is, you're buried under a mountain of paperwork. It's not the straightforward safety net I hoped for. Lesson learned. Definitely not going for this kind of insurance next time. The restrictions are just way too much for me.

I had a frustrating experience with a company that required a doctor's note for a COVID refund, even after I showed them my positive test result. It felt so unreasonable to ask someone with COVID to go out and risk exposing others just to get a note for a $50 refund. Plus, getting a doctor's note isn’t always free, so you might end up spending more than what you're getting back. The whole process seems backward and inconsiderate, especially when a positive test should be proof enough. It’s disappointing that they don’t seem to consider the safety and financial burden on their customers.
