    I wish I had read

I wish I had read reviews about E-Harmony before wasting my time and money. It's a total scam. I thought I'd give it a shot, but within 24 hours, I realized it was a mistake. They lure you in with a "14 day cooling period," but it's just a trap. You end up getting charged £64 for some ridiculous personality profile you didn't even ask for! And apparently, they're being sued in Australia and Canada for the same shady practices. How are they still in business? I'm definitely reporting them to Trading Standards, and I recommend anyone else who feels ripped off do the same. Save yourself the hassle and steer clear of E-Harmony!

    Total headache

You know, I thought I was pretty good with tech stuff, but this company really threw me for a loop. Signing up seemed simple at first, but before I knew it, I was locked into a 12-month contract with monthly payments I didn't anticipate. It's like they designed the process to confuse people. And when I tried reaching out to customer service for help, well, let's just say they weren't exactly helpful or friendly. It felt like they didn't care at all about resolving my issue. If you're thinking about signing up, I'd seriously advise against it. It's more trouble than it's worth, and you're just left dealing with a headache.

    I thought I'd give eHarmony

I thought I'd give eHarmony a shot, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. I signed up for the premium plan, hoping for a top-notch experience. Right away, I realized it wasn't what I expected, so I canceled and requested a refund. They took a whole day to respond, saying I was being charged for a basic plan cancellation instead of the premium. I was baffled! Why switch me to basic when I signed up for premium? They claimed it was because I canceled. Plus, they charged me for some personal profile support PDF I never even asked for or used. Why not make it optional instead of sneaking it in? Definitely not worth it.

    Trying E Harmony was quite

Trying E Harmony was quite an experience, but not a good one. They say you get 14 days to decide, but you can’t message anyone unless you subscribe. I mentioned my disability in my profile and got a few matches who weren't interested. Changed my profile to non-disabled and immediately got more hits. I canceled after just 2 days, but they locked me into a 12-month contract and charged me £62 out of £120. They even filled out parts of my profile because I was slow. You can’t text anyone until they have your money. If you have a disability, I’d stay away. They keep spamming you even after you unsubscribe. Total money grab.

    So, I signed up for

So, I signed up for the premium membership on November 17, but after five days, I decided it wasn't for me and tried to cancel. I followed their instructions and reached out to customer service. But then they said they'd still charge me £65 for a personality profile they had already sent when I first joined, even though it was fully paid for back then. This feels like a blatant rip-off, just an excuse to sneak in a cancellation fee. And guess what? As soon as I started complaining, customer service just ghosted me. I'm definitely taking this to the Competition & Markets Authority. This is not how you treat customers.

    I thought I'd try this

I thought I'd try this new service, but it turned out to be a real headache. Signed up thinking it was flexible, but they're sneaky with those 12 or 24-month contracts. I swear, the terms and conditions were buried somewhere no one would ever look. Tried canceling after two weeks, but it's like hitting a brick wall. Customer service? Not helpful at all. And the matching? Let's just say they don't really deliver on their promises. I kept getting messages from accounts that felt totally fake. It's frustrating when you trust a site and they just don't live up to what they say. Definitely not worth the stress or money.

    I thought I'd give this

I thought I'd give this service a shot, even after they kept my initial £65.00 from a hasty decision. Figured I'd at least try when they lured me back with those so-called discounts. But when I realized it wasn’t worth it and cancelled within 14 days, they snatched another £53.00. Two emails promised a refund, but suddenly they changed their minds when I asked about the process. It feels like they’re just in it for the money, and it's frustrating. Now, I’m stuck dealing with small claims court, all because I want to stand up for myself. Honestly, steer clear of this company. They're more trouble than they're worth.

    I had a terrible experience

I had a terrible experience with eHarmony. They lure you in with “free surveys” if you activate their Premium Service within 14 days, but trying to get a refund under UK’s cooling-off period ends up costing you £65. This feels like a scam. The profiles are mostly inactive because no one wants to pay the absurd £300 for their so-called ‘Premium’ service. It’s not premium at all. I feel like they’re just trying to rip people off, hiding behind legal clauses that don’t hold up. I had to go to my credit card company to get a refund. Avoid this service and warn your friends. Dishonest company, poor customer experience.

Wish I had checked out the reviews before tossing £62.16 to this company. I signed up for a 6-month premium but realized almost immediately it wasn't for me—the dating pool in my area is practically empty. So, I asked for a refund within two hours. Their response? They canceled my premium access but refused to return my money, saying they deducted £65 for some dubious "personality profile" test where you pick shapes. They even claimed I still owe them £2.86! According to the UK Consumer Act, there's a 14-day cooling-off period. I canceled within three hours, yet they still wouldn't budge. Feels like a total scam.

I thought I'd give eHarmony a shot, hoping for something genuine. But right from the start, things felt off. They make you pay for six months upfront, and only then do you realize you can't actually see any profiles. It's supposed to be a secure site, but there were barely any profiles to browse. After spending a few hours trying to figure it out, I decided to cancel. That's when they hit me with unexpected fees—$42.95 plus another $22.50 for cancelling, all without asking. I reached out for an explanation, but they completely ignored me. Seriously, how do they get away with this? Feels like a total rip-off.

I gotta say, dealing with this company was a real eye-opener. It’s almost like they’re more interested in trapping you with their tricky terms than actually helping out. I tried reaching out to their customer service, hoping for some support, but it felt like talking to a brick wall. They weren’t just unhelpful; it seemed like they couldn't care less about what I was going through. It’s a shame because I was really hoping for a good experience. Honestly, if you’re looking for better options, Facebook dating is out there, totally free, and way more straightforward. I’d steer clear of this place if I were you.

I wish I had checked the reviews before joining. I thought cancelling would be easy once I found someone, but turns out you're locked into a minimum term no matter what, even if you meet someone outside the site. It’s like they don’t believe you’ll meet anyone using their service, so they make you pay for a year anyway. How’s that fair? In a world full of dating apps, they think this is a smart way to do business? It's just shady, ripping people off because they know most won’t find someone through them. They just want to get as much money from you as they can. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE, IT'S A TOTAL RIPOFF!

    I signed up for this

I signed up for this dating site, thinking it'd be a good idea to meet some locals in Ireland. To my disappointment, all I found were profiles from the U.S. and U.K. I didn't even get to use the site before deciding to cancel. According to their terms, I had 14 days to cancel, but they still took 60 Euros from my account right away. Then, out of nowhere, they hit me with another 150 Euros for some personality profile I never asked for. This so-called profile was apparently done before I even subscribed, with no warning about the charge. Felt like a complete scam. Be careful if you consider using this site.

Wow, I really regret joining this site. Didn't even last a day before I wanted to bail. Sent them an email asking if I could get a full refund if I canceled. It took them 12 hours to reply, and they just went ahead and canceled my account without me even confirming! Then they hit me with a £65 charge for some personality profile. I mean, come on, I just wanted info, not an instant cancellation. The terms and conditions are a mess, super confusing and contradictory. And nowhere does it say they'll cancel your profile just for asking about it. Total letdown and a waste of money. Avoid this site if you can.

Using this dating site was a huge letdown. I set specific criteria for matches, like age and location, but it felt like they ignored it completely. Instead of getting what I was looking for, they just suggested I change my preferences to fit whatever they had. Also, they have this sneaky automatic renewal. They don't remind you when your subscription is about to end; they just charge you for another year without asking. Even if you told them months ago you wanted to cancel, they still go ahead and take your money. It feels really dishonest, and I don’t think this should be allowed. Total disappointment.

I had a terrible experience with this service. Their customer support is a joke—they never answer your questions properly, just send you those cookie-cutter responses that don’t actually help. When I asked about their pricing, they just sent me the same generic message over and over. It’s like talking to a bunch of robots. Checked their prices online, and if you want to pay monthly instead of a lump sum, it costs you an extra £2 a month. Seriously? Some of us can’t afford to drop £96 all at once. Plus, they charge you some mysterious admin fee if you cancel. Just feels like a scammy dating site to me.

When I signed up, I quickly noticed the site was glitchy, so I canceled my membership. Despite canceling, I got hit with a £47.00 charge and kept getting notifications from people liking my profile. My bank warned me about attempts to charge thousands on my card, all after joining this site. eHarmony tried to make up for it by offering me 60% off premium membership if I stayed, which I refused. To make things worse, they set up another subscription for six months later, even though I had already canceled. If anyone else has faced similar fraud after joining, I’m willing to collaborate with the police.

I had quite the ordeal with this company. They attempted to hit me with a £300+ charge out of nowhere. It felt like they were pulling a fast one on me. If you're in the same boat, don't just take it. Push back! I brought up the ombudsman and mentioned the Consumer Rights Act, which seemed to get their attention. I also pointed them towards the CMA's Online Dating Services Industry compliance summary, especially the parts about unfair contract terms. They backed down eventually. Hopefully, this little tip helps someone else dodge their sneaky tricks. Stay sharp and don’t let them take advantage of you!

I thought I'd snag a sweet deal by renewing my eHarmony membership with a discount, but things took a turn. Instead of a monthly charge, I got hit with the full £89. I barely used the account, just read one message, and then decided to cancel. But the drama didn't stop there. I got an email saying I'd be charged £65 for an in-depth personality report. Why? I already had one from when I first joined! I asked for a full refund, but they flat out refused. Their explanation about value compensation and the £65 charge made zero sense to me. You know, I thought this company would be great, but it turned into a bit of a nightmare. I paid them and then asked for a refund after a week. They told me I set up my profile way back in October 2024, which is weird 'cause I only became a member in April 2025. Now, I'm stuck in endless talks with them and it seems like they're not gonna give me my money back. It's just been frustrating, to be honest. I can't afford to waste either

I signed up for 6 months and sent out a bunch of "likes" and messages, but got barely any replies. I guess the other people might have been free members who couldn't respond, or maybe they just didn't like me? Assuming the profiles were real to begin with. I did get one response, but she wasn't interested in meeting up. Isn't that the whole point? Once I set the distance to 50 km, there weren't many options left. I let my membership expire, and now they're bombarding me with discount offers—up to 60% off. Honestly, it feels like a waste of time and money, and at 77, I can't afford to waste either.

I signed up during a tough time, hoping for some support, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. I tried to cancel my profile during the cooling-off period, but they wouldn’t budge. After what seemed like forever, they finally took it down—but I was already stuck in a 12-month contract. Now, I'm being hounded by debt collectors, despite explaining my situation to them multiple times. It's frustrating to be paying £169 for something I haven’t used at all. It feels like they're more interested in squeezing money out of me than actually helping. Wish I had never signed up. Just a big mess, honestly.

I've tried this service, and honestly, it's been disappointing. There were no matches, and the Discover section felt stale with nothing new. It's frustrating not being able to see who you've messaged. Makes me wonder what exactly I'm paying for. They make you pay upfront, so you have no idea how unhelpful it is until you're already in. I ended up canceling the auto-renewal, but not before losing £140 for six months of pretty much nothing. It's like buying a ticket to a show that never starts. Definitely feels like a waste of money. Okay, here's the scoop. I recently tried Eharmony, thinking it would be a great way to find love, but boy, was I wrong. They sneakily signed me up for a whole year, even though I picked a shorter plan. Three days in, they charged my credit card £330 without any heads up! Then they had the nerve to say I still owed them another £500! Seriously, who does that? I’m now in a mess, trying to sort this out with my bank and might have to cancel my card to stop these guys. And let me tell you, the app itself? Not impressive at all. Tried reaching out to get this whole thing sorted, thinking it'd be easy to cancel, especially since I'm not thrilled with it. I recently tried signing up for this dating site, and let me tell you, it was a nightmare. The registration process was like an interrogation, with way too many pointless questions. And the prices? Just insane! But the worst part is their cancellation policy. You have to send an email and include your password. Seriously? That's such a privacy risk.
