Our moving experience with Colonial Van Lines was highly satisfying. Antonio and Robert, our movers, were punctual, professional, and personable. They meticulously reviewed and arranged our items, ensuring a smooth transition from Florida to Buffalo, NY, even amidst a snowstorm. The communication about the move's progress was consistent. Additionally, the coordination for our car transport, handled by Simone Tanis, showcased efficient problem-solving. Despite a slight delay, the cars were promptly picked up and delivered by an outstanding driver. Opting for Colonial Van Lines for both moving and car transport proved to be a wise decision, resulting in an overall positive experience.

Our move from SC to CO went smoothly. The packers managed to wrap and load everything in 1 day, including 185 boxes we packed and a large house filled with furniture. The driver kept us updated throughout the whole process, from pick up to drop off. Our things arrived on time in CO and everything got unloaded in 1 day, even with a steep driveway and snow falling. Most importantly, we had no missing items and only 1 minor ding on some furniture. Overall, it was a great experience.

Communication breakdowns between driver and dispatch further complicated matters. However, the second day with Double Helix was a relief, showcasing speed and efficiency in delivering my belongings. Yet, transparency on long-distance and manual labor costs could be improved. Overall, a mixed experience with room for enhancement in coordination and cost clarity.

I had a few extra boxes at the last minute, but I didn’t expect the cost to jump by about $3K. Overall, I’d like them to improve on giving more accurate estimates, especially with costs going up everywhere.
