My experience with their services has been consistently positive

My experience with their services has been consistently positive. The checking account interest rates are notably competitive, and their investment options provide a convenient alternative for those who prefer not to manage their investments independently. What's particularly commendable is their responsive and helpful customer service team. Whenever I've needed assistance, they've been prompt and effective in addressing my inquiries or concerns. Overall, I've found their offerings to be reliable and beneficial for my financial needs.

I was a client of Wealthfront for five years.

I was a client of Wealthfront for five years. The service was good, and I made money. But I moved my account when I found out about Green Dot Bank. Seriously, Green Dot Bank? I knew it was time to transfer because they didn't prioritize customer interests. Recently, I heard UBS, a bank with $3.3 trillion in assets, will buy Wealthfront. If that happens, I might invest with them again.

    Okay for passive investing

Okay for passive investing, but returns might be lacking. Green Dot Bank partnership not great. Bank has different names, like University National Bank (?) Too passive portfolios, even at max risk level. Fees seem high for hands-off. Looking for a better option.

After just a week of opening my account

After just a week of opening my account and depositing funds, I found myself locked out with no clear reason. The password reset feature didn’t work, and there was no response from customer service. I’ve now submitted complaints to the FDIC, CFPB, OCC, and BBB regarding Wealthfront and Green Dot Bank.

The most bold portfolio choice here still

The most bold portfolio choice here still isn't bold enough for me, since I'm just starting out and have years before retiring. I would suggest Vanguard ETFs instead. The fees also seem a bit high.

One day, while heading to work, I checked my account

One day, while heading to work, I checked my account and saw that $1000 was taken from my cash account in several small transactions over a few hours. The money seemed to be withdrawn from a Duane Reade in Manhattan and also upstate NY, though I was traveling to NJ. I called them right away and canceled my card, expecting a refund because the money wasn’t lost due to a misplaced card but because of their poor security system. To sum up, after hours of phone calls, emails, and months of back and forth, they refused to take any responsibility for their mistake. I’ve had their high-yield account for years, and after all this time, I’ve made just around $350 in earnings, but lost $1000. Plus, whenever I tried using their debit card, I had to go to random ATMs with massive fees since their map showed empty locations. So, after doing the math, I gained a few hundred but lost thousands. DON'T TRUST THIS BANK!
