Simon and his team are very helpful and work hard to find a good deal. The service plan they offer is nice and worth it. I feel like I can trust them and don’t need to look anywhere else. Everything was smooth and easy from start to finsh. Thanks a lot.

If you're looking to buy a car and enjoy constant headaches and disappointments, this company is for you. From the start, everything went wrong, and the customer service is nothing short of appalling. If you're ready to be treated poorly and made to feel unimportant, then Thurlby motors is definitely the place for you. The managers have a very rude attitude, and once they get your money, their true colors show. The only person who was somewhat helpful was the service manager, but even he had little power when it came to Richard and Gail. The day we got our car (BMW X5), it was already smoking under the hood, which was just the beginning of our nightmare. They also performed illegal work on the car and when we tried to reject it, they denied ever selling it to us. They changed their company name, but all our transactions were under the name they still operate with. If you want the "Thurlby experience," feel free to shop here, but I can guarantee I won't be coming back nor recommending it to anyone.

After booking my car for the advertised MOT at £35 and £89 for all makes and models, I went to pick it up, and to my surprise, I was charged more than double the advertised price without my prior knowledge or consent. When I complained, I was told that I was wrong to expect the advertised price and that the staff member claimed she had informed me about the change over the phone. However, there was no proof of this, and no such conversation had taken place. The ad clearly stated £35 and £89, with no mention of 'from'. I’m very disappointed with how the company handled the situation and their refusal to refund the overcharged amount. They didn’t even offer an apology and ignored my attempts to follow up. I’ve now reported this issue to trading standards and my bank, as I believe this was an unfair charge. I can’t imagine how someone less aware might have been tricked into thinking this was a mistake on their part.

The car we purchased had dampness inside, so we returned it to Thurlby. They looked into the issue and promised to try a fix, and if unsuccessful, they said we could consider swapping for another car. Unfortunately, they couldn't fix it. When we asked for the replacement, they told us we’d have to pay extra for a trade-in on another vehicle. This experience with Thurlby Motors feels unfair for any customer. Their sales team seems to say anything to close a deal, with aftersales that feel far from genuine. We wouldn't consider this company or their products again.

The company didn't provide what they said they would after I bought my SUV. The mileage was not as advertised, something we noticed after getting the car. The brake pads weren't installed properly after a service. Poor service.
