I discovered Talkspace through my employer's EAP program after struggling to find a qualified local therapist. Talkspace simplified the process of finding and engaging with a professional, and now, after a few months of use, I am overall satisfied. However, the platform can be a bit finicky at times. My biggest complaint is the scheduling process for sessions; you must schedule and then confirm your appointment. If you forget to hit confirm, your session won't be booked. Despite this, my experience has been positive, and I appreciate the accessibility Talkspace provides.

My counselor feels like chatting with a knowledgeable buddy. She doesn’t just ask how something affects me. Instead, she helps me explore the reasons behind my feelings through ongoing discussion. She’s good at highlighting details and making me reflect on them. Most importantly, I like talking to her because I can share anything without being judged, and I leave feeling better each time.

It's hard finding a therapist who uses

It's hard finding a therapist who uses the platform right. My first one said we had to wait for a live session to talk, even though we'd already messaged. She didn't have time for a live session, so we didn't talk much for a week. Support gave me back that session for free, which was good. Regular check-ins are helpful. I found one who talks to me, then she left. It's hit or miss, but I'll keep trying.
