I signed up for the monthly perfume
I signed up for the monthly perfume membership and decided to grab a fragrance sample during the checkout process. The website clearly indicated free shipping at the time of checkout, which was one of the reasons I went ahead with the purchase. After completing my transaction and receiving the initial email receipt, my excitement turned into frustration when, just five minutes later, I received another email notifying me of an additional $6 charge for shipping the small perfume vial sample.
This practice seems highly questionable and, in my view, goes against the principles of a transparent transaction. When I checked out, I agreed to the total amount displayed, and it's disheartening to see an extra charge added after the fact. Such a move feels misleading and, dare I say, might even be considered as crossing legal boundaries. I'm seriously contemplating filing a complaint with my bank to address this issue. It's disappointing when a seemingly straightforward purchase turns into a situation that warrants such action.
