This was our second river cruise with Riviera Travel

This was our second river cruise with Riviera Travel, the first being five years ago on the Douro. As soon as we boarded the ship, the William Wordsworth, the experience felt very high-quality. From the cabin to the meals, staff, and excursions, everything was quite nice. We chose to upgrade to the Diamond Deck this time, which was really a good choice. A welcome bottle of champagne awaited us in the fridge, which we took home, and Riviera provided a free Superior Drinks package. This included drinks at lunch and from 6.00 pm to midnight. During lunch, we had beer, wine, and soft drinks, while in the evening, it covered beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails. All the excursions were good, though the last day in Budapest was a letdown, as we missed out on some sights we hoped to see, so we plan to return next year. The best day was in Durnstein and Melk, thanks to very smart guides. Linz was also enjoyable. Vienna was crowded, which is expected for a large city. A friend who saw our photos mentioned she’d like to go on a Riviera cruise since their ships look more fancy than a competitor's ship she traveled with this year. A sweet detail is the evening turn-down service that leaves a chocolate on your pillow along with a small gift. Just keep in mind that the Danube isn't blue—more like a muddy greenish brown! I would recommend it, and we are planning a Rhine/Moselle cruise with Riviera next summer.

We had a wonderful time on the Porto Mirante

We had a wonderful time on the Porto Mirante cruise through the Duoro valley, which offered stunning views from the river. The excursions were interesting, and the food was delicious with a high standard. The new ship was lovely, and the cruise director, Carmem, was always very welcoming. The staff were kind, always willing to help, and took good care of us. We appreciate the attention to my husband's allergy, especially from chef Made Reinal and the kitchen team. Special thanks to Diane, Ivan, Vladimir, Elvis, Priscilla, and the receptionist for all their hard work. The whole team did an excellent job. A big thank you also to our wonderful guide, Philippa, whose care and support meant a lot. The only small issue we had was with the quality of the included drinks, which did not meet our expectations.

This 10-day Golden Triangle tour in India

This 10-day Golden Triangle tour in India was wonderful from beginning to end. Our guide, Anne, was very organized, helpful, and kind. As a solo woman traveler, I felt safe and at ease throughout the trip. The places we visited were beautiful, and the hotels were great. The food was delicious, and I had no issues, even with salads. I didn’t get any mosquito bites, which was a relief. It was a truly enjoyable holiday, filled with great memories and excellent company. Looking forward to traveling with Riviera again. It was a memorable experience.

When I called to book the holiday, the person assisting me was very kind and supportive. She managed to carry over many of the important details, like emergency contact and passport info, from our previous trip, making things easier later on. Great service.

I booked 3 days ago, and the package mentioned a 0720

I booked 3 days ago, and the package mentioned a 0720 departure from Gatwick. Everything seemed fine. Now, I've been told the flight is changed to 1515 departure and arrival at 1905. There's a 2.5 hour transfer. It's alright compared to the original 1110 arrival, but not great with the new timing.
